"Found this to be a standard Travelodge experience. Dated interior but the room was fine. Small family room which was enough for 3 of us. Shower was not great but everything else was fine for a 1 or 2 night stay. Overall I'm happy with the stay and the value I got out of it. There is a Starbucks right outside, and a few food options a few mins away."

"In town to visit family and we decided to stay here as it was close to the beach and Sandy Waterpark and we have had success with this brand before. Check in was lovely and friendly, we had two rooms that were large, clean and had great AC in the higher than usual heat! The shower was powerful and I appreciated the comfy bed, and the fact that the room was dark and quiet! Myfanwy at reception was lovely! When our girls were looking at the vending machine and telling us they wanted to try a Pepsi product that was not available here in the States, she immediately went to the back and produced one for each of them!! She was lovely to chat to each day and checked in on our stay. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day - I enjoyed yogurt and fruit but there was also a full cooked breakfast available for those who want it - buffet style on the weekend and cooked to order weekdays! Great stay during our time in Llanelli !"

"We visited here on Sunday 1st February For Sunday dinner The carvery was 10/10 absolutely delicious that stuff ….. the best I’ve had out on a Sunday dinner, The beef fell apart in my mouth. The vegetables just how I like them with a little bit of a bite. Not soggy or watery just perfect The parsnips (gutted I didn’t put more of them on my plate) Honestly can’t fault it and staff very helpful and definitely serving us with a smile. Well done all and congratulations on an outstanding meal We will be back!"

"Not really situated close by to anything to keep the kids entertained. When we booked in I had booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids but they were adamant I was only booked for 2 adults so hadn't got kids beds ready so we had to wait for bed linen and do the kids beds ourselves once I had proven to them with my online booking through app that they were wrong. The room was small, bed linen had rips and holes in the duvet covers, double bed poorly made, curtain rail was broken so could have fallen off onto the children, there were dirty marks all over the walls and splash marks that looked like coffee or worse up the walls, which my partner has taken pics of. The plus in Bath was broken off the chain so couldn't get it out once used so couldn't use shower ect or change bath water, taps didn't work properly. Very noisy throughout night and could hear everyone walking past room at all hrs. They also had mice traps in all communal areas of the hotel in full view, not even tried to hide the fact they had mice in the place which wasn't very pleasing either. We also have evidence that behind mirrors in the room that there could possible be cameras or surveillance equipment of some kind which is not acceptable and is illegal!!! For the price of the room which was over £80 for the 1 night is totally unacceptable and we will not be staying here again at any point. We have photographs to prove all of this also which will be uplaoded"

Apparently the Sandpiper is due to close, which will relegate this to being just another featureless (not so) budget hotel. A very sad prospect. Should anyone from Whitbread be reading - blindly chasing profit will lose you the source of any profit - Customers. Think again before it’s too late. Meanwhile highly recommended in its present form."

Sherrys breakfast is to die for and she catered for my veggie needs as well as my son who wanted the meat version . Their meat comes from animals on their farm which have the highest welfare standards imaginable. I wish there were more people like them in this world. We will be back !"

"Thomas Arms Llanelli This has to be one of the worst place to stay that I have endured in the last decade. The Thomas Arms is a pub with rooms which in the past I am sure was a pleasant place to stay yet as of now it is rundown, unclean place which has loads of maintenance issues and a team that have lost interested in the business and do not care at all about the guests. Located on the edge of the town centre, uphill from the main bus exchange and long thirty minute walk from the train station. On arrival there was no signage to the reception area which turned out to be more of an untidy dumping area for paperwork and files than a welcoming place to check in and greet guests. Interrupting the employees dinner, I final commenced the check in process which was a comedy of errors yet reasonable friendly. The electronic room key was sticky and unclean, the other key had no fob. I was directed to my room, yet not offered details of dinner and breakfast times, yet, was informed that the pub would close at ten pm. The route to the room was really unclean with numerous stains to the carpets, walls and room doors which did not instil any confidence with what I was to experience behind the door of room five. On entry to the room the stains to the carpets and walls continued yet the rest of the room was well appointed with a nice television and good Wi-Fi. The bathroom was so dirty that I decided not to use it for a shower or bath. The unclean state of the place continued to be evident with the exterior route to the car park strewn with litter and cigarette butts. The main issues I had with this accommodation provider was the lack of action to prevent external noise from one of the main arterial routes into the town which passed directly outside the rooms window, no provison for double or secondary glazing therefore NO sleep even for a guest that resides in the centre of noisy London. Marston’s the owners and the management team should be ashamed of what they are offering to guests at the Thomas Arms. Please stay elsewhere … "

"Llwyn Country House is a little gem of a place that was simply perfect for my husband’s special birthday celebration and is just outside Swansea & Llanelli. Llwyn Country House has retained many of its original features yet also added modern touches. From start to finish it was excellent. Marius the chef offered a delicious menu and, as we were 20 guests, organised for us to have a private room. There were no requests that they could not meet and my many queries were always promptly answered. The food was delicious and served promptly even though the restaurant was also very busy with lots of bookings. Pricing for food and drinks were very competitive and we will definitely go again for both personal and business functions (lots of parking) - just a shame that we didn’t book to stay overnight. Thankyou Marius & team. Top tip - don’t put postcode in Sat nav as it tries to take you over a bridge now closed to cars - use google maps"
