"If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would! Tenuta Di Tramonte is absolutely stunning. The grounds are beautiful with the most staggering views from every angle, and the freshwater pool is incredible. Having an Aperol spritz in the sun by the pool with my book was the most relaxed I have felt for ages. A big thank you to Giulio and the team for fantastic service as well. The rooms are gorgeous with lots of personality and have been thoughtfully designed and decorated. The food is also delicious, using local produce and ingredients from their vegetable garden, you can taste the difference. If you are looking for a quiet oasis for rest and relaxation I couldn't recommend it more highly."

"The Villa is beautiful, the pool area good, on the drive up to the Villa it looked great. Unfortunately almost everything about the place could be better. The room was ok, but dull. A great view for sure, but a tiny bathroom with an elbow bashing shower and sad thin towels. The aircon was noisy and not a match for the morning sun. Breakfast was lamentable. Self served either on a terrace that was not well shaded, or in a dull windowless dining room. Tables were not laid up at all, everything had to be carried out on a tray. A toaster that took an age and only toasted one side. Cheap produce, plastic cheese. The fruit selection varied from day today, if you were lucky there might be a ripe peach. Bread rolls that were a little stale, as if had if they had been frozen. Eggs were rubbery and not refilled if you got down towards the end of service. It was more like a cheap motel breakfast than a good hotel. We had dinner at the Hotel restaurant one evening. It was not good either. The main courses were only ok, the accompanying vegetables were dull. I sent back my starter as the melon was not ripe, an essential if the plate is only melon and ham, it came back with the same melon, but the rind had been removed. Unbelievable! No apologies were offered when I sent it back again. When we came to pay the bill at the end of our stay it was still on it. We felt that customer care was lacking at this Hotel. That corners were cut at almost every opportunity. It could have been great, but it really wasn’t. Oh and check out was at 10 am, really, so last century."

"I stayed one night with my partner in this property. Very nice and welcoming location. There is a beautiful garden with chairs and relaxing armchairs. Entering inside the impression is excellent and confirmation is found in the rooms: very clean and warm room and bathroom. Buffet breakfast varies both sweet and savory with pastry croissants, while for hot drinks it is the waitress who prepares them and serves them at the table. The girls at reception and in the bar are very helpful and courteous. It is possible to use the private outdoor parking with a supplement of €10. More than excellent value for money!"

"We only spent one night here but enjoyed our stay. Very well trained staff and property was beautiful- we had a great corner room overlooking the squares. Great breakfast- best cappuccino I had in Italy. Check in, luggage handler, wait staff were all exceptional. The room was great. Walking distance from the train station, the walls of the city and the rest of Lucca. So glad we were able to visit!"

"Finally a B&B where both Bs work wonderfully and, in a world of improvised as the present, it is not a little bit. Located just outside Lucca, very easy to reach, offers a large private parking. The room is spacious, well furnished and the comfortable bed. The bathroom is huge and has a set of courtesy. Breakfast is for once really the second B: used to seductive B&Bs offering at max discount products or a good for the cappuccino at the front bar, here we give in front of a buffet rich in cakes made at home, Croissant fresh, express coffee and no missing salt. Many improvised managers should come to pick up notebooks."

"Very satisfied with a trip, the apartment is a separate set, two bedrooms are double bed room and twin room, there is a sofa that can sleep one person, very suitable for family outings or small team travel. The room was very clean, the kitchen and bathroom facilities were very complete, and it was very convenient to buy ingredients at the convenience store around the time of the jet lag. The kettle is broken, please change it in time, and we have been using a cup of water microwave oven to heat it during our stay. The apartment is in the ancient city. Every street has a good shop to go out. There are many good restaurants nearby. The shocking cathedrals are very close to walking. There are also many bicycle rental shops. If you feel Italy deeply, it is a good choice to live here. Downstairs is the bar, a bit noisy at night, but it’s close to relaxing after a day of shopping. If you come back to Lucca for a meeting, you will definitely choose to stay here again, I hope everything is fine."

"Fantastic location right in the middle of Lucca but really quiet and very reasonable cost wise. Rooms were massive with comfortable bed, extra bed, table and chairs + en-suite (dark but perfectly functional and clean). There is a communal area with cooking area and dining tables which was useful. The owner was really friendly and helpful, booked taxis for us and kept us updated. Would highly recommend."
