The views are incredible as well. Felt like a lost boy in Neverland. Rooms are very well equipped with everything you need. Staff were lovely but George is the heart and soul of Secrets. Such a cutie! We will be back!"

"After a late flight, some delays and a traffic jam in Brisbane we arrived quite late at Whispering Valley Cottage. Upon arrival the fridge was stocked so we could eat something. There was even a box of delicious chocolates. The fireplace was ready to light. So it was a great welcome and furthermore a beautiful and quiet location and a nice starting point for some nice trips."

The place was so good we didn’t feel like leaving, especially because of the spa with the beautiful trees in the back ground. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs time away from the busy life in the cities and suburbs. I’ll definitely come back in the near future to further explore the area."

"We recently stayed at Spicers Maleny, for 3 nights, and absolutely loved our short stay. The location is excellent, so tranquil and relaxing. Cabins Our cabin was very clean and extremely spacious, with a good size ensuite. Everything a guest could possibly want or need, and more besides, was thoughtfully provided in the cabin. Our king size bed was so comfortable and actually had one of the best hotel mattresses we have ever slept on. Wish we could have brought it home with us! Staff All the staff were so friendly and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. Restaurant We originally decided to stay at Spicers purely because of the good reports we had heard about the food. We were not disappointed. We had booked their dinner bed and breakfast package and were so glad we had. Our evening meals were so delicious and full of flavour and could not be faulted in any way. The dinner package includes a starter, main course and dessert and not once did we have something we did not like. Portion size was also good and we never left the table feeling hungry. Our first night we had the Banquet and that was unbelievable. Worth a trip from Brisbane just for that alone. Loved absolutely everything so much that we will definitely return."

"Wow! I've stayed at couple's places before and there has always been an underwhelming factor.......Let's start with all that was good! 1. Parking right beside the accommodation. No lugging possessions or food along long, steep, winding paths. 2. Views forever down the valley and over the lake, especially from the verandah on two sides.. 3. Plenty of the right sized firewood as well as all the necessaries to easily start a fire. (Don't laugh, this is GOLD!!!!) 4. Really traditional Balinese fitout with raked ceilings. The place felt huge, welcoming and accommodating. The ensuite is huge with twin showers. Very romantic..... 5. Great local produce in the breakfast (Continental) hamper. 6. Welcoming, friendly hosts who responded immediately to the one small problem we had-flat batteries in the AC remote. So........plenty of space both inside and outside, class, ambiance, privacy, comfort and amenity. Yep, we will definitely return. Thanks Maleny Tropical Retreat. Cheers, Keith"

The large bathroom with freestanding bath and double shower boasted quality toiletries and the linen dressed king bed made for a delightfully comfortable stay. Some special touches included a biccie bottle of tiny shortbreads. Communication via email was excellent and check-in/out was seamless. A brilliant position with off street parking in Maleny’s Main Street makes walking the town easy and a list of preferred cafes and dining options is useful to even the shortest-stay visitor."
