You have to be walk 3km from the train station and at least 1km from the nearest bus stop, which is pretty ruthless especially when it’s dark outside. But at least there are proper sidewalks."

"It’s a 6 mins walk from Masuda train station and also a 4 mins walk to Lawson. Behind Lawson, that’s the restaurant street but please book in advanced . I see many Japanese and including myself cannot find a seat in any izakaya restaurants at around 6:15pm on Sat night. The restaurant size is small, so, cater for locals. I think . The public bath in hotel is good, it also has a cold bath (16 degree) and a sauna. I had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel. You get discounted beer and food is reasonably priced and taste. Room is spacious ."
