Hotel berhampiran Brunswick Library, Melbourne

Lygon Lodge has always been my go to stay when in Melbourne. It has recently been sold and this was first stay since the sale. The new consortium have continued with the same warm welcome. Lovely reception staff. Improvements were noticeable. I like to stay in a particular room, and once again it felt familiar and comfortable. I have to commend the wonderful cleaning staff, each day they left my room spotlessly clean. Lygon Lodge is in a fabulous location. Close to everything the area has to offer, such as restaurants, cafes & bars, a fabulous arthouse theatre, and wonderful bookshop, amongst other fantastic shops. Public transport nearby. Lygon Lodge ticks all the boxes.

Stayed here on the 3 & 4th June..New hotel,so was as expected,clean fresh and well maintained..Room was quite small,but bed was very comfortable ( 2 king singles pushed together),bathroom was a good size with big shower,that had a hand held head,as well as rain head.No wardtobe,but had a rail which had around 6 clothes hangers.. Connie who was at the front desk was amazimg,very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.Very easy.and seamless check-in.. Location of the hotel was great,a stones throw to the Vic Market ,and restaurants. We will be back in the future,and do recommend this hotel... 2 thumbs up...👍👍

We chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

I am interstate for business on a regular basis and have stayed in many well rated accommodation venues however, I struggle to find anything to criticize at this hotel. The staff are amazing - nothing is too much trouble, they do all the little things, over and above what I would expect to make you feel like a special guest. They all seemed to be ”hand-picked” to suit the service culture of the hotel. The quality and cleanliness of the facilities are A1. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. A small table & chairs, couch and huge TV were a welcome feature. The conference facilities worked well. Conference catering, breakfast room and intimate Bistro/cocktail bar offered quality food & drinks. My partner is disabled in a wheelchair and all his needs were well & truly met in a standard room. Only 1 suggestion - it would be great to have magnetic door stoppers installed so the door will stay open while moving through with the wheelchair or bags. Before I went to Melbourne, I had had the negative experience of Mercure in Thailand and I didn't want to choose it, to be honest, but I didn't have any choice because the price and location were better than other places. Wow. I was surprise because everything was unexpected I can say thanks to the hotel 1.The location is good and it is located in the CBD. Convenient transportation, lots of Asian restaurants, supermarkets and convenient stores. It is not far from the place I had to work. 2.The staff are great and helpful with service mind. Yes, I found a Thai girl staff who is really nice. We received the good service. Even though, the policy is they clean the room 1 in 3 days, but I was ok because we had to save the world. 3.The size of the room is small and the size of the beds were small too but enough for sleeping well and everything in the room was clean and function well. 4.No water bottles. I understood that we had to drink water from the tab. I was used to it because I knew it well, but my boss was not used to it and couldn't accept this. Please make the remark in the booking or put a paper in the room so that some people can prepare themselves for this culture. However, thanks for the milk in the fridge. Just positive experiences with this hotel this time. Thanks to you all

Great hotel close to city center near Coles and Southern Cross station, very convenient. There is a swimming pool, sauna room, steam room, arcade, and gym for all guests to use for free. Rooms are clean and spacious, but the heating can be improved. Amenities are provided in the bathroom.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and perfect location. Easily accessible to the public transport and eating points. Great value for the money. Good budget option for a short visit. I would love to come again.

Comfortable stay, convenient location, and close proximity to the train station made our trip hassle-free. The room was cozy and clean, with all necessary amenities. We loved the ease of exploring the city from this central spot. Highly recommend for an stress-free and relaxing getaway!

This is a really good quality hotel in a nice part of Melbourne. We are Accor Plus members but this night was booked using Emirates points. Accor still gave us a a top floor room with a stunning view and the usual free drink vouchers, which I didn't expect since I didn't book with them. The room was clean with the aforementioned good view and had every thing you need for a short stay. Improvements would be a coffee machine instead of simply a kettle, and a better Chromecast as the one we had just wouldn't work. These are minor issues though. Lifts were very slow, as only one seemed to be operating. Breakfast was efficient and tasty, although the included coffee could be improved and the extra charge coffee was too cold to be enjoyable. All in all an excellent hotel to stay at if you need to stay in the South Wharf end of Melbourne, and we will certainly stay again.

We arrived out of hours and were expecting trouble however it was a simple phone call and we got our key. We got a great deal on our accommodation, which had more than enough for our needs. The facilities (pool etc) were great and everything in our room worked perfectly. the air con was cold and quiet, the TV was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I noticed was the walls (toilet) and curtains (main entrance) are a little dirty (probably due to being a specific room for lots of children?) however this is just fussy. I will most definitely stay at Discovery Park again without any hesitation. From check in to check out it was easy, quiet and stress free exactly what I needed
