Great stay at this modern hotel in Queens. We had to book something in the area for a weekend family event and after considering other options decided to stay here. It is one part of a two part hotel, I believe the nicer of the two and it is in a very convenient location. There is a nice coffee shop/restaurant that is open during peak hours and offers Starbucks selections. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices there! The staff at the hotel were courteous and professional, exactly as expected. The fee for the parking seemed a bit high at $40 a day although it is valet and we took advantage of free electric charging during our stay. The room was clean and a modern design, also well appointed. We had maid sErvice one out of three days at our request which was nice and efficient. Overall exactly as expected and could not have asked for more! Thank you!

West Side YMCA is excellent for what it is! It’s a reasonably priced hostel in an amazing location. Right across the street from the west side of central park and a 5 min walk to the Columbus Circle subway station, which gives you access to various main train lines to the various neighborhoods and boroughs of NYC. You also get access to the pool and gym. My only gripe was with the cleanliness. The beds, sheets, and towels were clean (thank god), but the floor could have used a sweeping and a cleaning. Like I said, great for what it is. I’d definitely stay there again!

Super friendly from the front desk check-in process to the restaurant and bar staff. Concierge was also very helpful. Great seating areas for work, relaxing, or enjoying a drink with friends. Good choice of gluten-free breakfast options both in the restaurant and for room service. You just need to ask. The staff were really friendly and helpful when informed of specific dietary needs. Had a brilliant stay in Hoboken. It was so quick and easy to get into the city (PATH: 15 minute/ 5 stop train ride from Hoboken into downtown Manhattan. Then you get the best of both worlds. A beautiful waterfront experience with pedestrian walkways and great restaurants, as well as access to the vibrant New York city life.

Friday June 28, 2024 Check-in was suppose to be at 4 pm. I tried to check in at 3pm but was told room was not ready. Totally understand that. I went to TED’s bar and restaurant (in lobby) to wait it out. I got into line about 4:15pm and I saw that they were turning ppl away who were trying to checkin. When I got to the counter, they too told me my room was not ready. I said that I had to get to an event within the 1.25 min and the associate confidently said that I would be able to checkin well advance within that time. In the meantime, I went to the lobby bathroom to change to get ready for an event. By the time I came out of the bathroom 4:55, my husband had checked us in (with pushback because he wasn’t the one who had not made the original reservation). In our bathroom floor, several strands of hair noted, some wall stains (wipeable) under the hand soap and lotion dispenser, and shower did t look like it was wipe down well. Bed linens were clean, comfy. Desk area clean. Busy hotel. Ted’s hotel-slow service with a 1-2 attendants.

The hotel is always busy at all hours because of the number of flights that come and go through Newark. That means the property is a little tired. However, I didn't mind any of this and don't think it takes away from a good experience overall. The only downside is the location is a bit confusing if you are driving.
