Victoria Hotel

"A hotel located in the blue zone of the city of Varna. Probably a family business. Untidy rooms with musty smell, cleaning on request. Breakfast for a fee, totally uninspired and weak, no kitchen! You often run out of water, you can't even take a shower or use the toilet. In general, carelessness towards customers is observed. Parking costs 15 leva per day, in the underground parking opposite. At night, it's good not to go unaccompanied, being dark all around, you don't know what to expect."

City Boutique Inn

"We had a brilliant time in Varna and City Boutique Inn was the perfect spot to enjoy it all from. Maggie runs an absolutely immaculate, friendly, homely operation. The bed is the comfiest I have ever slept on that isn't my own. Smart TV meant we could log in to Netflix etc. The air conditioning offers perfect climate control, the kitchenette had a small fridge, pans, cutlery, a 2 ring hob, plates, a corkscrew, scissors, a decent knife, chopping board etc. The shower was lovely, a spacious cubicle with both a large rain fixed head, and a handheld hose. We had a freestanding tub, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and cotton wool pads etc. Breakfast downstairs was a lovely continental spread with Bulgarian touches. Taking shoes off and swapping for slippers actually made the place feel more like home, tho its clean enough to walk barefoot too. Maggie had the best recommendations for places to eat, helped arrange Reservations, organised a tour for us to visit the stone forest and the Aladzha monastery. The location is a short walk from the beach, has shops and restaurants nearby and is near bus stops and the train station. What a remarkable stay we had in Varna, thank you so much Maggie. I don't usually feel sad to be leaving somewhere but I definitely wanted to stay and will be back sometime! "
