"The place is the most dirty we ever have been to. Reception was very quick, only a few information and then the staff disappeared and was never seen after. It was a spooky atmosphere and an awful and disgusting smell in the house - we felt lost. After a very short information we checked the room ourselves and found used bedlinnen with hair of the guests before us on it. The highlight was the bathroom - massive fungus in the shower, worn out and tworn towels and an almost empty plastic bottle of liquid soap as an "amenity". Not even the fantastic view from the balcony onto the atlantic ocean couls hold us from running away from this inhospitable place. When you consider the prize you feel ripped off."

"I stayed for 3 blissful nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Far Out Guest House. The town is in easy walking reach or if you prefer a quick drive. I had the best in-house massage I’ve ever had on all my trips to South Africa. The host are a great source of information and very helpful. The house is modern design, well insulated for sound and temperature variations and with beautiful, calming interiors. Accommodation is more luxurious than most places in town (stayed at other places before) and we will certainly return to Far Out Guest House on our next trip. We can only highly recommend it"

"We can recommend staying here. We had a wonderful host, Eddie, who was attentive, friendly and a pleasure to engage with. The breakfast was delicious and they were willing to accommodate our early start. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. The area was quiet and restful. Sitting on the shared balcony in the late afternoon sun reading a book was absolute bliss."

"This comes with sincere gratitude to every single person that went out of their way to make our stay incredible at Strandloper. Beach horse rides with Mark. Great in room massages by Carmen. Everything was done so much attention to detail and with such amazing kindness, making our stay unforgettable. It turned out to be the perfect getaway in a beautiful setting with outstanding food (Compliments to the chef and team including all the waiters and waitresses) We will cherish the time at Strandloper as one of our most outstanding memories THANK YOU!! That being said - it is difficult settling back into normal life in the city but for now we are enjoying chewing on the cud of a most memorable experience. Which I also have to say was all due to my hubby that made it all possible."

"Though the views are indeed stunning and the staff is friendly and helpful, I wouldn’t book again.. At this price, you’d expect a breakfast with more choices than just 1 hot option, juice concentrate, filter coffee and ‘ winkelbrood’ you could toast… Our biggest irritator was the so-called ‘strict no smoking policy with designated smoke-areas ‘ which turned out to be right outside on every guestroom’s balcony! So we literally had to beg the neighbours in the adjacent room to pléase refrain from smoking and vaping outside ( as I am severely asthmatic ) Which they ignored completely so goodbye view and sunshine. Why is it that those horrid smoking/vaping creatures are being so facilitated ?? Shame."

"Review for the Accommodation The location is absolutely wonderful – perfect for a relaxing stay. The rooms and common areas are excellent and very well maintained. A special highlight was the kitchen: always fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared, and absolutely delicious. One thing to keep in mind: dinner times are relatively fixed and not freely selectable. With a little flexibility, this is no problem at all – the fine food more than makes up for it. The hospitality was truly amazing and made the stay something special. I would gladly come back!"

"We had a lovely time at the hotel. The view from the hotel was spectacular.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was we were in a room outside of the hotel which had very steep stairs which was a problem as my husband has mobility issues. We would definitely come back to this hotel but book a downstairs room."
