I have only positive things to say about the Victoria Letterario, even after the shock during the check in. Upon arrival for check in, the reception staff told me that my booking was cancelled! I showed them the communication of trip.com 3 days earlier confirming my booking, which their system has not registered. Jorge, the concierge, was very apologetic and offered me the only room available that day which I accepted, while he will get in touch with the intermediary to find out what went wrong. It appears that trip.com and similar platforms purchase the beds in great numbers from a company hotelbeds.com- I went to my room and I came down with my iPad and I and Jorge got in touch with Trip.com via my account. Trip.com replied immediately, confirming my booking and promising that they will get in touch with hotelbeds.com. As it was already 7pm, Trip.com did no manage to get through the staff at hotelbeds. Trip.com advice that if hotelbeds.com did no reply or confirm the booking then I'll have to pay and Trip.com will refund me right away. I was happy with that. I stayed the 2 nights in the hotel, and only the morning of the day I checked out the hotel Victoria Letterario received finally the confirmation of the booking from hotelbeds. Trip.com was every effective in dealing with the issue and I'll use them again and Jorge, at the Victoria Letteriario dealt with the issue very professionally all they way through, so did the manager of the hotel too. Trieste is a small city, and you can walk from the hotel to the major landmarks in 20 minutes. I loved the decoration of the rooms, the bathroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The TV channels were all in Italian but I don't care much about the telly when I travel. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it has everything that a good hotel breakfast should have and more, namely its attentive staff. A five stars stay!!!

The hotel is very good. The Italian lady at the front desk has very good looks, very welcoming and good service. Although we do not speak Italian or English, we achieved full marks in the game section where we gestured her to guess. Love this room Italian Inn

Une belle découverte que cet hôtel où nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Tout était parfait, un accueil très sympathique et une très jolie chambre. Nous avons pris un petit déjeuner excellent avec des produits de qualité et un grand choix dans une belle pièce. Nous recommandons fortement cet établissement !

Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang mit persönlicher Note. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und hat schöne Zimmer. Bei einem Aufenthalt mit Fahrräder ist das Abstellen im Hotelbereich möglich. Bei der Anreise mit PKW ist der Parkplatz beim Bahnhof nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt.

Grande chambre avec grande salle bain (douche petite) dans un appartement decoupe en Chambres. Très propre. Lit équipé de matelas en mousse. Pas assez ferme à mon goût. A 2 minute de la gare. Pas de vrai petit déjeuner mais des biscuits sous emballage, du thé, machine à café et un choix réduit de yaourt. Situé dans un immeuble bourgeois qui a vécu mais très calme. Porte immeuble ferme mal.
