"Magnificent hotel. Fantastic location. Exceptional place! (Top-notch concierge and tennis!) However, there are quite a few points to improve… - Access to the spa is extremely difficult: the pool is full of children, and the sauna and hammam are packed… The massage was very good, although a bit pricey. - Very noisy: Breakfast/restaurant is full of families with young children… A family area would be great! - The service leaves something to be desired considering the price (no "luxury" touches or valet parking, for example), even though the restaurant staff were very friendly! And the bespoke cocktails are excellent. - Dining: The wine list is very limited, the breakfast is quite basic considering the €25/person supplement, the restaurant is good but there are many extra charges (the meat/fish buffet is really just a barbecue where you have to pay extra for a ribeye steak...). In short: a very nice hotel but still expensive for what it offers... It could be truly exceptional if a few things were improved!"

"I booked a room advertised as "new generation". The only thing that was new in this room was the electric heating. Otherwise, it is a room as we have known them for years at Campanile with an old roller shutter with straps, poorly insulated frames both thermally and acoustically Furthermore, for €14.95, the breakfast is not up to par. 30 minutes before the end of the service: no more baguette, no more pastries. Results 20 minutes after request: a barely cooked baguette that disappeared just as quickly, but good pastries all hot. You have to scrape the bottom of the jam jars and others to find something to use. Really disappointed."

"You have to leave the main highway and drive 15 miles to get to this wonderful old farmhouse, completely renovated and transfoormed in a hotel. The lanscapes are beautiful, the gardens and decoration also. We stayed in a very nice room in what were the stables. Bed, linnens, furniture, bathroom and shower. All perfect. Only “but” is the Domaine is isolated, not many places where you can eat. Fortunatly the place has a nice restaurant. We were there on a monday, the kitchen was closed. We were offeed a fixed menu for 60 euros per person. The food was just ok. Heated for us. We found it quite expensive for what it was… Overall great experience. Worth the détour"

"Quite attractive auberge in the countryside, but nowhere near a dune. The room was average with a small shower in the bathroom. There was no air conditioning, so we had to sleep with the windows open and the shutters closed - luckily the road outside was not busy at night. All the bedding was made with nylon type man-made fabric, that is quick for the hotel to wash and dry but very uncomfortable on a hot night. The bar was convenient with outside seating. The restaurant seemed quite good but I made the mistake at the time of booking of taking up their special offer of demi-pension. The dinner was the cheapest menu on offer with no choice for any of the three courses. The entree and the main course were both inexpensive fish dishes - unfortunate if one did not like fish! It did not seem to be a special offer as the individual parts added up the what we paid, and although the inexpensive fish course was well cooked there were much better food choices on the other menus available."

Some disturbance was the terrible bad service in the restaurant where the food was very good. This can only be accounted for management that does not attract, adjust and train the right staff. "We had a pleasant family stay at Le Grand Pavillon Chantilly. While the overall experience was good, it wasn't particularly amazing, but it was a solid choice for a relaxing weekend. The breakfast offered a rich selection of food, though the quality was standard and didn't quite stand out.
