"The pros: the location is close to the train station (which is exactly what we needed), but quite far from the sights. The hotel is fairly clean. The cons: the room is almost bare (only shampoo and shower gel), no slippers, no robes. There are few hangers for clothes. There's little space to even get comfortable."

"Wow!!! The hotel itself is stunning. Built within an old palace from the 1700s, you immediately see the beauty of the architecture as you come through the front gates. The lobby is a beautiful space to arrive into, where you can sit and enjoy complimentary Moroccan tea, surrounded by greenery and a wonderful scent that can be found throughout the hotel. The rooms are also next level. The most comfortable bed, great air conditioning and a stunning bathroom. The room was extremely spacious and a wonderful place to relax. The staff are so attentive that they even noticed I was reading a book without a bookmark and placed one in there for me! We had dinner at the two main restaurants. The Italian was unreal, and the experience was made even better by the staff. We also indulged in lobster at the Flamme restaurant, which again was made even more special by the incredible service. The staff are what makes this place so special. On arrival to our room, we were welcomed by a cake with a note saying “Before we become three”, along with rose petals all over the room. This was such a wonderful touch after I had briefly mentioned that my partner was pregnant when sending through requests on the pre-check-in page. The staff in both restaurants delivered exceptional service too. At the Italian, the chef came out to speak to us after the meal and even filled a cannoli in front of us. The team at the Flamme restaurant took it to another level. They wrote the most beautiful card and delivered it to my partner after dinner. Also, a quick mention to the two staff in the lobby who served us small cakes one night and chocolates the next. Throughout the hotel, staff were calling us by our names and were simply amazing. We are now planning our next holiday around the Four Seasons brand. The bar has been set by Rabat, so it will be very hard to beat! Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special."

"The Riad is located in a small lane walking distance to Kasbah Oudayas, a very convenient location if Rabat Medina is to be accessed. The room we were allotted in the first floor was quite big and the bathroom also had good amenities. One of the issues with Riads we faced in Morocco is that none of them have elevators. Riad L'Alcazar was the only Riad we stayed in during our Moricco trip which has a (small) escalator to help with our luggage. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was decent in spread with crepe, eggs, Moroccan bread, coffee etc. We spent 3 pleasant nights in Riad L'Alazar"

"Let’s have a honest review. Check-in : Delayed to a great extent. No welcome, greetings. Only the keys were handed out. Nothing explained, not even the direction to the elevators. Neither the breakfast timings nor the floor. Room : Extremely small, hardly any room to move, not what you see in the pictures (photo attached). Completely non functional AC. In fact, the room was hotter than outside. We had to open the narrow slit-like window to-let the outside cold come in. However low you put it, it’s not going below 25 deg C, that’s because the compressor isn’t on (saving electricity for the hotel) only the fan is spinning. Pillows as high as the Himalayas. Bed uncomfortable. Wifi very very slow. The refrigerator doesn’t cool (not replaced inspite of complaints). No amenities like a swimming pool, gym, designated parking (which are compulsory for a 4-star). Bathroom: The hand shower for the commode doesn’t work. No light above the mirror, difficult to shave or put on makeup (by my spouse). Warm water alternating with cold water bursts from the shower. Breakfast : Plenty of types of bread, but there aren’t any fruits, no hot items, no vegetables, only Beef sausages. Oh and a bland tasteless rice soup. Possibly they don’t know what items are to be kept on the breakfast table for a 4-star. If it had been designated as a 2-star, I wouldn’t have had any complaints, but charging the rates of a 4-star, is simply what you call is ‘cheating your customers.’ Overall : Absolutely not recommended. The facilities that were offered suites a roadside motel."

"First room was disgusting, carpet covered in vomit, cobwebs, etc. I went to reception, who gave me another room with parquet flooring this time and perfect, but I wondered if it was cleaned because the first one was unmissable. Otherwise, very good service, perfect breakfast, everything was there. Forget about soundproofing the rooms; you can hear almost everything from outside, but oh well. I recommend it, but ask to change rooms if you see anything."

Due to overbooking, several of our group's pre-made bookings were shifted, causing significant inconvenience and disrupting our plans. Confirmed reservations should mean exactly that — confirmed. Overbooking is a poor business practice that shows a lack of respect for guests who plan ahead. Management needs to address this issue before it damages their reputation further."
