"The doorman was just delightful. Upon check in, I had my confirmation print out that proved I purchased breakfast. I was advised that the price did NOT include breakfast but with the PROOF in hand, they granted us breakfast. The breakfasts were very nice, lots of options. Room was small, had a facade of glamour but really more like a Best Western or Holiday Inn in the USA. Rainhead shower spewed more water at the wall than on your body, hard to figure out how to select the showerhead vs. filling the tub. "

"We had an amazing stay at Story Rabat. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. I was genuinely impressed by the level of service which exceeded my expectations and truly reflected a five-star experience. The only point to note is that guests cannot park their cars themselves in the underground parking and need to leave the key with the valet. However, the valet service is always available, efficient and very helpful, so this was never an issue. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend Story Rabat and look forward to staying again!"

Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr

"Wow!!! The hotel itself is stunning. Built within an old palace from the 1700s, you immediately see the beauty of the architecture as you come through the front gates. The lobby is a beautiful space to arrive into, where you can sit and enjoy complimentary Moroccan tea, surrounded by greenery and a wonderful scent that can be found throughout the hotel. The rooms are also next level. The most comfortable bed, great air conditioning and a stunning bathroom. The room was extremely spacious and a wonderful place to relax. The staff are so attentive that they even noticed I was reading a book without a bookmark and placed one in there for me! We had dinner at the two main restaurants. The Italian was unreal, and the experience was made even better by the staff. We also indulged in lobster at the Flamme restaurant, which again was made even more special by the incredible service. The staff are what makes this place so special. On arrival to our room, we were welcomed by a cake with a note saying “Before we become three”, along with rose petals all over the room. This was such a wonderful touch after I had briefly mentioned that my partner was pregnant when sending through requests on the pre-check-in page. The staff in both restaurants delivered exceptional service too. At the Italian, the chef came out to speak to us after the meal and even filled a cannoli in front of us. The team at the Flamme restaurant took it to another level. They wrote the most beautiful card and delivered it to my partner after dinner. Also, a quick mention to the two staff in the lobby who served us small cakes one night and chocolates the next. Throughout the hotel, staff were calling us by our names and were simply amazing. We are now planning our next holiday around the Four Seasons brand. The bar has been set by Rabat, so it will be very hard to beat! Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special."

Beautifully care with every detail. Read the Waitrose serving the breakfast couldn’t be more servicial with a big smile wanted to give you everything… fantastic breakfast but the way. They all speak very good English and that was making live more pleasant. All in all a perfect place to stay."

"The Riad is located in a small lane walking distance to Kasbah Oudayas, a very convenient location if Rabat Medina is to be accessed. The room we were allotted in the first floor was quite big and the bathroom also had good amenities. One of the issues with Riads we faced in Morocco is that none of them have elevators. Riad L'Alcazar was the only Riad we stayed in during our Moricco trip which has a (small) escalator to help with our luggage. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was decent in spread with crepe, eggs, Moroccan bread, coffee etc. We spent 3 pleasant nights in Riad L'Alazar"

"Pretty tired hotel in a god location, took ages to check in, almost thirty minutes and there was a long queue behind me and just two people on the desk. This may not sound like a big deal, but when you arrive at a city and just have the evening, half an hour is a long time. I jumped straight in the shower before heading out - no towels! In a 5 star hotel. I had to use the duvet cover off one of the beds to dry off. Told reception and the towels were there when I got back from town. Generally the room is shabby, shower curtain attached by just a few rings, cracked tiles etc. Breakfast was ok but again, a coffee machine in a 5 star? Someone constantly dragging chairs around somewhere for maybe an hour, no exaggeration, like they were dragging one after another about 10 meters each time. Great view from the 5th floor pool and terrace. Would never stay again."

"I booked this hotel based on its proximity to Rabat Ville train station. It's about 10 minutes walk. We booked directly through the hotel's website. The confirmation showed both its price in Euro and DH. When we arrived and wanted to pay in Euro, for some strange reasons, the staff claimed they could not accept Euro payment. After travelling for over a month in Morocco, this was the first accommodation that rejected payment in Euro. We didn't accept and requested that they counter checked with their manager. Subsequently, whenever we asked whether they had checked, the staff would just insist that we pay in DH. The staff kept asking us to go outside to exchange DH. The final straw came when we put our foot down and told the staff that we would only pay in Euro or nothing. A more senior staff was around and from our conversation with him, we found out that the Euro amount stated in the confirmation email was somehow lower than the room rate stated in DH. In other words, it's not that the hotel couldn't accept Euro payment. They wanted us to bear the exchange rate losses. Fortunately, we had everything in black and white. Wouldn't return as our stay in Rabat was spoilt."
