"We had a two-night, three-day trip. It's about a three-hour drive from Shanghai, making it a relatively relaxed family getaway. If you're just looking to entertain the kids, staying at the hotel is perfectly fine. There are plenty of activities, a water park, and you can even dig in the sand and play in the waves just by crossing a skybridge – no need to go to the滨海森林公园 (Binhai Forest Park). They offer a butler-style service, and kids receive gifts at both check-in and check-out. Of course, they also ask you to write a detailed positive review mentioning specific names. The breakfast was pretty average; while it seemed like there were many options like pancakes, rice balls, waffles, and even roasted sweet potatoes, the taste was quite ordinary. Despite that, I would still recommend it to friends."

"I was in Rizhao for a business trip and this was my first time staying at a Wyndham hotel. The room had large floor-to-ceiling windows and was very spacious. They even placed fruit in the room before I checked in. The front desk staff was very quick with check-in and explained the hotel facilities in detail. I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip."

"I went to Arashiyama beach with friends and found a newly opened hotel. It's considered pretty good accommodation in Arashiyama; it's only about a 10-minute taxi ride from the beach. It's quite large, located near a tea plantation, and has its own coffee shop and book bar, which I liked. There's also a pool table, karaoke, and a gym – very well-equipped, perfect for groups. The only downside is that getting to the rooms is uphill, which was a bit of a leg workout, haha. The staff were very helpful. I recommend it in Arashiyama!"

Rizhao Yanda Resort Hotel

"One-star warning! Avoid this place! My overall experience at Rizhao Yanda Resort Hotel was terrible, and I absolutely do not recommend it for families with children. The service was completely inadequate; staff were constantly unresponsive and dismissive when asked questions, showing almost zero professionalism. The hotel's internal management was chaotic, and public areas were disorganized. Housekeeping was perfunctory, with dust and stains visible everywhere in the rooms and play areas. This is the first hotel I've stayed in where they use pull-out toilet paper – how much money could that possibly save? Despite being advertised as a family-friendly resort, the entertainment areas were tiny, and there were very few activities for children. There was basically nowhere for kids to have fun, making it extremely poor value for money. I will not be returning and advise everyone else to avoid this pitfall."

Ocean Aesthetics Museum Hotel

"This place is perfect for a vacation! Unlike the crowded Wanpingkou scenic area, you can step out of your room directly onto the beach, which is just 10 meters away. The sand here is much finer than the sand at Wanpingkou beach, which is opposite Kaiyuan Senbo. The popular infinity pool and cafe are right next door, making for a relaxed and comfortable vibe. You can enjoy the sea breeze, have a barbecue, listen to music, and even watch fireworks in the evening. You can also witness the beautiful and tangible sight of the 'moon rising from the sea.' It's truly stunning. Each room has its own private courtyard, complete with a drying rack and plenty of hangers, which is super convenient for changing after swimming or playing in the sand. The beachcombing experience is also very accessible; if you're not looking for big catches, you can still have a lot of fun right on the beach in front of the hotel. My kids absolutely loved it. The hotel even provides a small packet of laundry detergent among its disposable amenities, which is incredibly practical! It's the first time I've seen a hotel offer laundry detergent, and it definitely deserves praise."

Yanda Water Resort Hotel (Rizhao Wanpingkou Scenic Area · Rizhao Station Branch)

"The check-in was extremely unpleasant. We frequently encountered various problems at the front desk. We booked four rooms in total, and only one was successfully checked in around 1:00 PM. The other rooms were temporarily unavailable as they were being cleaned, which is understandable given the holiday season and the fact that it wasn't yet 2:00 PM. We took our wristbands, organized our luggage in one room, and went to the bathhouse first. (Important: the rooms are inside the bathhouse; after passing the gate, it's a single, inseparable unit, which will be explained later.) We didn't get checked in until almost 4:00 PM. 1️⃣ During check-in, we encountered queue-jumping. Some people would cut in line and push their way to the front. When it was my turn, the front desk staff, Sun Wenfeng, actually took the ID card of the person who cut in line and processed their check-in directly. I asked three questions in a row: "Why didn't you process my check-in?" "Why did you cut in front of me?" "Is it okay to cut in line?" She didn't say a word and continued to process my check-in. The person who cut in line felt bad and said, "Then you can process her first." Only then did she take my documents and process my check-in. As the front desk staff, you actually encouraged this behavior, and when a customer raised it, you showed no intention of correcting it. 2️⃣ Halfway through, another man, Mr. Liu Han, came and processed my check-in. There were still two rooms left to process, one with twin beds and one with a king-size bed. I clearly explained many times which wristband and ID card belonged to which room, and that I needed a wristband for check-in. I was afraid he would get confused, so I repeated myself. He also asked me which room was for the king-size bed and which was for the twin beds, and said he would tell me when he came down. As I was about to enter the gate, I realized something was wrong. Why was there only one wristband with a room number? So I asked him what the other room number was and why there was no note attached. He replied, "Aren't you in one room?"... I said, "I've been explaining to you for so long, and you haven't listened to a single word. You yourself asked me which of the two rooms was which, so why are you telling me I only have one room?" 3️⃣The dramatic turn of events occurred at check-out. They asked me to buy additional tickets. I explained that I knew one ticket was included per room, but one of the twin rooms had two extra children, so I wanted to buy two extra bath tickets. I had already purchased these at check-in with the front desk's guidance. However, when they checked the tickets, they told me they weren't valid. The children's tickets were 19.9 yuan, and both children were charged the adult rate of 55 yuan. They said this wouldn't work; I had to buy a hotel bath ticket for 40 yuan for children and 98 yuan for adults. I asked what the difference was, and they said it included an overnight fee and a 12-hour overtime fee. I can understand charging for bath tickets, but I completely don't understand why they charged me an overnight fee and this so-called overtime fee. I booked the hotel room and slept in my own room; why should I be charged an overnight fee? As mentioned earlier, the bath center and room are together. If the room and bath center were separate, and I spent the night in the bath center and exceeded the time limit, charging me an overnight fee would be fine. The key issue is that my two children slept in my own twin room. Why should I be charged an overnight fee for this room? What's the basis for this? Is this an unfair contract term? There were a lot of people, and I didn't want to hold up the people behind me, so I gave them extra food... It was terrible..."

"An incredibly satisfying stay! First off, the cleanliness was impeccable; the room was spotless, which gave me great peace of mind traveling with a child. A special shout-out to the slide in the room – it's designed perfectly for kids! My child had an absolute blast playing on it and didn't want to leave, which was a huge relief for us parents. The view from the window was breathtaking, with WNTP (Wanpingkou) and the ocean stretching as far as the eye can see – truly a healing sight. The location is also very convenient, with short drives to all the nearby attractions, saving us time and effort. If you're visiting Rizhao with kids, this place is definitely my top recommendation!"

"What I liked most about the hotel was the complimentary travel photoshoot. Even though I paid extra for more photos, they turned out really well. The photographer was super nice, and the photo selection assistant was really cute, leaving us with wonderful family memories! As for the hotel itself, overall it looked good but wasn't very functional. The service was fine, the environment was good, breakfast was acceptable, and the butler service was good, with new facilities. The room wasn't large but sufficient. The bathtub faucet was too far away, making it difficult to reach. The most unsafe thing was how incredibly slippery the tiles were; guests with elderly people or children should be extra careful!!! The water pressure in the sink was huge, and it sprayed directly into the drain, splashing water everywhere every time I turned on the faucet. The handheld showerhead could only be held; it couldn't be mounted on the wall. There was no air conditioning in the hallway, so it was very hot. The rooms on the first floor were extremely damp, with indoor humidity over 70%. Although a dehumidifier was provided, it only managed to bring it down to 60% at most, which still felt uncomfortable. The small indicator lights on the light switches stayed on, making it impossible to have a completely dark room for sleeping at night. What was most unacceptable was the poor hygiene. I booked two rooms, and each one had uncleared trash. For a five-star hotel costing over 1,000 yuan per night, this is simply unacceptable."
