We chose Rhinoceros for a 2 night stay in Rome prior to beginning a Mediterranean cruise. We could not have made a better choice! Nestled against Palatine Hill near the Circus Maximus, this was a quiet oasis, with several ancient monuments just steps away, and a close scenic walk across the bridge to the Travestere neighborhood for numerous bar and restaurant options. Our ultra- modern suite was luxurious and the service impeccable and friendly. We especially enjoyed quiet continental breakfasts in our room, with a Nespresso machine, grapefruit and fresh basket of pastries/bread with jam and lovely views overlooking an ancient arch. For those wishing to cook, the clever hideaway kitchen was well equipped. The rooftop bar afforded beautiful views of Rome and refreshing cocktails. We took a short taxi ride to Colosseum area, but could have walked, and later walked back from the Pantheon, a bit more of a walk.

We stayed here in Feb 2023. The staff were really welcoming upon arrival. We stayed in deluxe studio with balcony. The room was lovely, very clean, with a large comfortable bed, beautifully decorated and lovely large bathroom with shower. You order your breakfast each evening at your preferred half hour time interval between 7.30-10.30am for the following morning. You can order items at additional cost but we didn’t as you have plenty of items on continental options and there was so much we couldn’t eat it all. Breakfast is delivered to your room which was lovely. There is a fridge/mini bar in your room and bar on the lower level with honesty box. The room is cleaned daily to a high standard and all the staff were so helpful be it with local recommendations and directions, to booking restaurants or delivery of ice to your room etc. The hotel is in a great location, very close to Trevi, Spanish steps and Pantheon and around 20 minute walk to Colosseum. Highly recommend.

This hotel is tucked away on a side street in a perfect location for sightseeing. It's in a charming historic building that has been recently renovated to include all of the modern amenities. We absolutely loved the rooftop restaurant overlooking Rome while enjoying breakfast, drinks or dinner. The staff were all professional, friendly and gracious. Dining on the rooftop terrace was our favorite part of the hotel. I would have given this hotel 5 stars, due to the rooftop experience and the modern renovation, but we had an issue. The room we were originally assigned to had a terribly leaky shower, which caused water to flow around the sink, toilet, etc. We decided it wasn't acceptable and asked to be moved. We had to wait a long time while one person at the front desk tried unsuccessfully to find a room for us. We eventually talked to the manager, who did find another room for us, albeit not as nice as the original one we had. Per our Bonvoy status, we were eligible for a room upgrade, but that wasn't offered to us. Aside from that inconvenience (with no compensation for our trouble), the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. Overall, I recommend this hotel and would consider staying here again.

Booked only cause of location. Super easy to get to by either metro or taxi. Small, cute lobby and friendly staff upon arrival. We didn’t stay in the main building so the bellmen took our luggage and walked us outside and around the corner to another building to where we were staying. The room was nice and had a great sitting area with an extra bed. Voucher was given to us for breakfast at the restaurant next to us which was really nice. My only issue was the sink and bathtub didn’t drain so I was literally standing ankle deep in my partners bath water during my shower. At checkout I told reception and she offered us a breakfast voucher but already had it and 10% off our next stay( but we won’t use that). It was a nice gesture. They did hold our bags while we shopped before leaving. Location is really good and they suggested a pizza place that was horrible lol. Didn’t like having to go around the corner to another building to our room. Overall it was ok and think over priced for the accommodation.

Lebih tepat jika mengatakan bahawa mereka sudah kehabisan stok dan saya akan mengambil sesuatu yang lain; carbonara adalah kredit yang sangat baik untuk kredit. Akhirnya, Perkhidmatan tidak ada, terdapat kira-kira 5 pelayan di antara maitre d 'dsb. I selected this hotel based on the location and my particular travel plans. My room was in their second building down the street from the hotel; there did not seem to be many rooms over here and it was quiet. Fortunately, they had someone to help me to my room and to find the other building. My room itself was large and well appointed; various drinks were included at no additional cost as well as a few sweets. The breakfast is served on the top level of the hotel so I trekked down the street every morning and I found the staff at the restaurant to be good. I did not interact much with the desk staff (although someone randomly knock on my door one evening saying they were a staff member and asking if I needed anything, I would suggest they call the rooms if they are so inclined) and ended up being out and about most of the time. Overall, the location worked out well for me and appreciated the provision of drinks in the room that were very welcome after a day of touring. It was a bit of a splurge for me price wise but worth it.

This hotel is a great place a central point for all the attractions in Rome. Located within walking distance to Castel San Angelo, this hotel is an excellent starting point for your adventures in the city. There are many highly reviewed restaurants nearby which made it convenient at the end of the day when our feet no longer wanted to walk anymore. The rooms are clean, well decorated and have ample plugs for your electronics. The breakfast buffet provides a lot of choices and does not disappoint. Special thanks to Pierro who looked after our family and provided excellent customer service and attention to detail to ensure our day started off well with a great breakfast. One of the worst things that could happen on a vacation happened, I dropped my phone inside the taxi cab. You lose your ability to capture moments, get directions, and even make payments. Honorable mention goes to Michelle who works at the front desk. Despite her busy duties, she contacted the taxi cab company, contacted the taxi driver directly, and located my phone. The driver kindly returned to the hotel and my phone was retrieved. This occurred on our very last day in Italy, and it would have been a huge loss to return home without my phone. Thank you so much Michelle for your hard work and pretty much saving our memories. No doubt, this was a great choice, I’d stay here again without hesitation.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

We stayed in room 415. It would be nice to think this room was a one off, but I suspect not. Don't book if you're a fully grown adult, you'll never get in the shower. If you do get in, bring a spare shower gel to hold the shower head still or it will swing randomly in all directions. The bed is the most uncomfortable ever experienced, and I travel a lot. Cleanliness, you can judge for yourself from the condition of the fridge (inside and out) and the chair provided. I would be embarrassed to rent out rooms like this - there's budget and then theres the Aphrodite!

When I travel, I search out family run bed & breakfasts and or small boutique hotels. Why? The people. People make the difference. On this trip to Rome, I was traveling with my father. I was looking for a small boutique hotel in a quiet location but a location from which all of Rome is easily accessible by walking. I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect property than Hotel Monte Cenci. Located on the Via Beatrice Cenci, a quiet location just one block from the Tiber River, and surrounded by gorgeous buildings with window boxes spilling over with geraniums, the Hotel Monte Cenci is a livable work of art. Designed in a historic palazzo this 30-room hotel feels more like a stay in a beautiful private home. Entering from Via Beatrice notice the two story marble lobby flanked by book cases which run the length of the lobby behind the reception desk. You will be greeted as though you are a long friend coming home for a visit. At the south end of the lobby is a magnificent 2 story window that allows light from the lobby to flood into the hotel bar. Just a few steps down from the lobby is a reception room and access to either the elevator to your room or use the stairs. We utilized the stairs. The bedrooms are generous in size with plush bedding, gorgeous ensuite bathrooms (some bathrooms have marble sink tops from historic hotel in Rome), casement triple glazed windows with views onto the surrounding buildings and streets in this quiet enclave. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace. In the afternoon the terrace with its lush plantings and awnings is a great place to escape for a quick nap or down time reading a book-also great in the evenings for a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz. The location is perfect. Every attraction is walkable and the best way, and only way in my opinion, to see Rome is to walk. Rome is an open-air museum full of art and architecture and history. Stroll down streets, take the alley way, follow the delicious scents, and discover a small neighborhood osteria or bar. Shop the shops away from the large tourist attractions. Discover a fountain in a piazza and take the time to see Rome, truly see Rome. The beauty of staying in a small boutique hotel is that the people at the hotel will also share with you their favorite places to eat, shop, sip and walk and share historical tidbits. I cannot find the words to express how wonderful the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci are. They are kind, informative, helpful, funny, welcoming and feel like family. Whether first thing in the morning or late in the evening I looked forward to every interaction with all members of the staff. They make you feel as though you are a family member visiting.
