The room /bed great, Other guests the problem, family 5 arrived 12 midnight, back & forth BANGING CAR DOORS each time, then 3.15am their car alarm goes off, night staff phoned her and her reply ”its always doing that” My suggestion you have LARGE notice outside and in rooms (as they doo at airports) Please close you doors silently as others are sleeping 24 hours -- some travelers sleep in late so it applies in day light hours too. Receptionist Katie was very helpful re where we could have breakfast and about voucher, which we bought, good value

It worthy booking in consideration of its price and perfect location. The staff is lovely and friendly, and amenities are functional.

Everything is nice. But I just worry about the young lady at the reception. She seems has some problems with smiling, I found she couldn’t smile at us, she seems can only smile at those white people. She seems also has a problem with her ear that she couldn’t hear my room number correctly since the card couldn’t open the door and it needed to be fixed. Well, Sheffield is a nice city any way.

Last weekend me and my partner stayed at the mercure sheffield I don’t normally do reviews so I’ll keep this short The hotel was perfect They accommodated my late arrival on Friday 00:05 am Sarah greeted me with a smile 😃 Our room was spacious With a king size bed Tv Sofa Bathroom with bath and shower Nice smelly stuff Safe Tea and coffee maker On Saturday morning we had a quick drink in the bar nice pint 🍺 of Guinness friendly stafff Sunday morning check out at 11 Big thanks to ben and his staff for making us feel special

Really good hotel clean rooms We stayed for an overnight trip and I was extremely impressed. The room was lovely and clean with a spacious bathroom. The only issue we had was the noise from the traffic but once we closed the window it was quiet. Perfect hotel, would definitely stay here again.

I have used this place a few times for groups. This time they really fell short. There is no one in charge. Very difficult to speak to a manager. Issues with the restaurant. Short staffed. Food was too salty. Soya sauce based dishes were not edible. No one asked when sent back unfinished if there was an issue. Only robots delivering food and very inexperience staff. Couldn't order more drinks in good time. Breakfast is buffet and is very basic. Ok. It is clean. However, for £250 a room I think that it is overpriced. Thank goodness for Trip.com much better rate 2 days before the event. Baths do not drain. Taps and fittings are loose or not finished properly. Poor customer service overall, despite having 5 rooms in our group and dinner for 10. Said they would call me back. Which they have not. That was after speaking to a man who said that he was not the manager, had only worked there for 8 weeks, yet told me that I was not familiar with the service industries! Such a shame. Will have to find somewhere else next time. Not a hint of a smile or an apology or anything to say that he would feed back. 🤷

I am not one to write reviews, but my experience compelled me to. I had no plans of even passing the night at Barnsley Travelodge but I did and I truly enjoyed it. My room was thoroughly cleaned and just simply stunning. The environment was really conducive and the staff were so helpful and friendly. It actually seemed like they enjoyed aiding their lodgers and that made me really happy. I was supposed to just spend a night, but I extended my stay and I have no regrets. Be it business or leisure, I would definitely come back to this travelodge centre. So, big ups to the amazing staff and the company.

It’s a budget hotel but offers a great deal for the price. The area is very easy to find, straight off the m18, situated close to a Morrisons and McDonald’s do no need to be hungry, petrol station there too. Hotel has a large free car park, well lit at night. Entrance to hotel and reception is nice, bright and clean, staff really friendly and welcoming. Stairwell up upstairs rooms is chilly and a bit in need of decorating and a quick clean, but the actual room corridors are fine. Room is fine, basic, but it’s a budget hotel, what do you expect, it’s clean, quiet, beds comfy and there’s a telly. The bathroom was a bit of a handful however, which is truthfully the only reason I gave 4 stars, I’d have certainly given 5 otherwise… it’s no ventilation no extractor fan, and with a shower was a wet room smog, so steamy that you can hardly see where you’re at, the lighting isn’t great either, but it’s only a bathroom and I was in and out! Breakfast is fantastic! Great selection, fruit/cereal//coissants, toast, full English drinks buffet style, really good! Cannot recommend enough! Dining area is more or less in reception area so easy to find, comfy, and clean, the staff on are great, happy to help, welcoming, friendly and chatty, this is what it should be like! I’ve stayed in loads of hotels in the uk and it’s rare to get genuinely pleasant staff who actually look happy to be at work, seriously well done guys! I hope ibis read reviews, because for a budget hotel this one is very good! 👍

Stayed here on business with 5 colleagues. Best thing are the staff, who are really friendly and helpful. Room was adequate. Luckily I was away from the main road, so my stay was quiet. Other colleagues had to put up with other guests screaming & shouting & loud music. Bed was clean, but not hugely comfortable- too soft. Furniture had seen better days and lighting was ineffective. Only one full mirror in the room and it was in an alcove with no lighting so difficult to do hair/makeup. Bathroom was a huge plus - clearly recently upgraded with nice fittings and good, powerful shower with plenty hot water. Toiletries were fab - neroli & bergamot are my favourite scents and nice soft, white thick towels. Breakfast was very slow service. I asked for poached eggs (not advertised) & they were delicious but brown toast was 50/50 white/brown and barely hot bread. The waitress also kept forgetting our hash browns, which weren’t worth the wait. Full English looked nice. Colleagues said that there was a man, clearly off his face on drugs in the bar the night before as he sat gurning & grinding his teeth which was off putting, but thankfully I opted to head to bed after we’d returned from dinner. Wine was delicious, but not much of an atmosphere. Convenient for the train station and surrounding area & they offer discounted parking in the nearby Frenchgate shopping centre, which is secure. Would I stay again? Possibly, but only if on business again.
