"It's an old house with no elevator, so it's not recommended for travelers with large suitcases. There are only about 20 rooms in total, each with its own characteristics. We stayed in the attic on the top floor, where the bathroom was bigger than the bedroom and had a large bathtub."

"I use this hotel frequently, maybe 2 x per month, and it is always superb. The meals in the restaurent are excellent and never fail to please. Breakfast is superb and good portion sizes and choice. Bedrooms are ‘uniquely’ furnished - all very individual and comfortable / warm / spacious etc. I have tried other local hotels and this is by far the best on all fronts."

"Just back from a weekend break in Rye, first time staying at the Old Borough Arms. The place is lovely, and the team were welcoming. Breakfast was first class, as were the Aperol Spritz’s in the evening! I would give a 5 star mark, but the noise from the local pub and seagulls wasn’t great, and we couldn’t shut the window due to the heat in the bedroom."
