"A typical hotel with beautiful Andean decor. The room is a little dark, and the window overlooks a patio, but it's very good for a short stay. Tren a las nubes is right across the street from the hotel. There are many restaurants nearby. I would especially recommend the "802" for the quality of its food. We enjoyed a delicious "bife de chorizo" with "country-style" papas, all accompanied by a good glass of Malbec. The breakfast is very good, and the homemade fruit juices are worth trying. In short, a good 3☆☆☆ hotel for a pleasant stay in Salta."

Legado Mitico Salta Hotel Boutique

"We were enchanted with our stay at the Legado Mitico in Salta. We stayed in the Music Room. We loved the period furniture and felt like "time travelers" but with all the comforts of today. The bed and linens were superb. The room was perfectly quiet and extremely clean. It was large and private with a small inner patio. Bathroom was well appointed. I felt like we could have stayed for a week! Breakfast was the best we had in Argentina without a doubt. Staff was discreet and professional. It is evident that much attention is given to excellent customer service. The common areas were inviting and interesting too. We enjoyed looking through the library at the end of the day, even if just for a few minutes. We also enjoyed sitting in the lovely interior courtyard space after dinner - A winner!"

Luxor Hotel & Spa

"I stayed with my girlfriend in June. It was a total disappointment. The hotel is old and it looks run down. The room we got was assigned incorrectly and they gave us single beds instead of double beds. We asked for a change but they said they didn't have any. Also, the window was broken and couldn't be closed. The water in the shower took several minutes to heat up and had little pressure. The air conditioning didn't cool, which was annoying since we had days with 29 degrees. The breakfast is small and with very little variety. We had breakfast at 7am and there was usually a lack of replenishment of products and it took a long time to clean the few tables there. The hotel is supposed to have a garage but it was always occupied, without even being able to park at the door to bring down the suitcases comfortably. Instead, they send you to a parking lot that is 2 blocks away, which does not open on Sundays or holidays, so you have to look for a key at the hotel, open it and then return the key. The hallways to the rooms have lights that only work on a schedule, between 7pm and 6am, outside of this time the only light available is from the emergency exit sign; something I have never seen in another hotel. The attention of the people at the front desk was awful, from the first day we asked to change beds or rooms and they told us it was not possible, that they did not know if there was another room. They could not tell us if it was possible to request late check out either, we had to ask shift by shift and they always told us that we should ask another receptionist at another time. No employee was able to give us an answer. It is a cheap hotel, which does not comply with what it advertises."

"Amerian is rare. It is a chain but in each province they maintain it differently. In Salta it lacks maintenance. It looks like an old hotel. The bathroom is a bit sad. Bring shampoo because it's the worst I've seen. The weak restaurant. The attention is good. The normal breakfast."
