Just returned from a 7 day break that my boyfriend gifted me for my birthday. I have been to tenerife many times but he has not bless him and when i found out we were staying on the other side of the motorway i was like oh dear god because even for a couple in there early 30’s those banks are something else I was actually rather surprised with the studio apartment that we had, it was really nice and all that we needed as we literally showered and slept there. I slept on the sofa side of the bed he slept on the camp side it was actually really cute and fun for us but no good for a older couple! The apartment was cleaned a few times not to a high standard like but it was done at least. The furniture on the balcony was awful tho and when i looked over to our neighbour’s balcony they had lush modern brand new ones was a bit jealous but like i said didn't spend much time there anyways. Cant comment on the food or entertainment because we always went out but i will say I’m not sure who this complex is aimed at because if your elderly you are stuck there due to the hills or get loads taxis everyday and if your young(ish) you get massively told off for playing music round the pool, chatting with other couples round the outside bar area. We even got told off for chatting and having a game of cards at 11pm on our balcony which did piss me off. Its like lights out silence from 10pm how bloody boring! Oh and also the bathroom flooded after taking a shower. Didnt see any of the nice fancy double beds and to be honest they didn't even tell us about the spa so we didn't no they had one so don’t believe everything you see on the pics. There was a english lady on reception who was lovely but a spanish man who was rude and didnt seem to want to engage with you very unhelpful. Over all if your after a cheap get away and dont mind the walking up and down to the bars and restaurants and are basically never in the complex stay here. If not dont stay down adeje! Santie in the shop was so lovely, he makes you feel apart of the place and he drew us a picture before we left. The pizzas from the bakery were lush but the sandwich baguettes were teeth breakers!

I have just had my third visit here in 2 years. We have just visited as a family of three (adults) all inclusive. Great selection of drinks and food was lovely every meal. We arrived off peak season, but it became busier throughout the week. The hotel remained a very calm, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in a double room with sofa bed, which was more than comfortable to sleep on for the week. The place was very clean and tidy, had a couple of dated areas but even then, very clean. Staff all very friendly and helpful, in reception, activities, cleaning, bar and restaurant. We have to thank Ivan, working in the bar and restaurant especially for making us feel so welcome. He went out of his way to chat to and make everyone smile (adults and children).

We stayed at the El Marques for 2 weeks in early September 2023. we founfd the reception staff, domestic staff and maintenance staff friendly and efficient. The apartment and communal areas were in good decorative order, the furnishings in good order. The area was quiet at night , so satisfied on those aspects Several of the pool staff spent their time looking at their phone for long periods, rather than keeping a constant eye on the children or other swimmers. We used the restaurant on two evenings. the first time we chose the special of the night which was duck in an orange sauce, which was as tough as old boots. A waiter asked how our meal was and when we told him this his reply was ” well its not chicken”. When we asked for the bill we were presented with the wrong one! After a week we decided to give it another chance. The dining room opens for evening meals at 18.45, and we arrived at 19. 20 hours. There were no customers in the dining room no sign or sound of the staff. After 10 minutes, still no staff, so we got up and left. Basically the staff in the restaurant had a couldn't care less attitude. However there are plenty of excellent restaurants. We ate out every night and our favourites were El Meson, Fettuccini In, and the restaurant at Las Rosas ( at the end of the road by El Marques. Our other favourite was Pescadore down in Los Gigantes. we walked down there, but for health reasons used to taxi up Cardiac Hill.

I am absolutely gobsmacked at some of the negative reviews for this resort. Currently here with my husband and 3 children. My anxiety was through the roof worrying about what the resort was going to be like due to reading these reviews after booking but prior to going. I don't no wether everyone else is just beyond ridiculously picky and looking 5* benefits for 3* prices, but I really couldn't fault the hotel. Food is very versatile and caters for everyone. Meats of all kinds, salads, kids options, chips and potatoes, breads and your choice of pastas. Choices of deserts and ice creams. Selection of drinks alcohol and non alcoholic. Rooms are very clean and cleaned regularly. Beds are very comfy. There is 4x pools 2 of which is kids pools along with a kids park area. There is activities all day long. And the snacks in-between meals are again versatile and all the food we have eaten so far is delicious. Staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. Shop on site and the hotel is within walking distance of beach and main shopping areas. It has been above our expectations due to what we thought we were heading into due to such ridiculously poor rated reviews from picky abnormal people. In future don't bother reading these they are completely not true.

Good location, about 5min taxi to main area or 12min walk Clean rooms, good balcony, great swimming pool Supermarket opposite the hotel as well as a small store inside Decent entertainment Value for money, would stay again.

The apartment was pretty good and had the basics like a small kitchen, washing machine, etc. It could definitely use some renovation, but overall everything was fine. I was on the 8th floor and the view from the balcony was really nice. There is also a rooftop terrace which is great. Location is good, you can easily walk to the farmer’s market and city centre, and there is also a bus stop in front of the building.
