Hotel 3 Bintang di Sedona

Sedona is a wonderful place to visit. It is a tourist town and traffic reflects that. Spent almost a week there. The hiking and biking are great. Los Abrigados is a nice hotel resort. Very close to shopping and dining (all walking distance). The resort sits behind Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. Room was nice. Quiet. Pool was nice. Did have a few little bugs running around the room but nothing major. Didn't really use any of the services at the resort because I was out on the trails everyday so that's why I give it 3/5. The staff I did encounter were friendly. I just hate spending an extra $26.50 per day for ”resort fee.”

The room was very nice had everything. With the exception of a top lock it was broken.they said they would send someone to fix it. I feel it should have been good to go when i walk in. We needed some ice they brought it right away. You can text them 24/7 they will always respond. Alicia and Jessica help out the most with check in and text me with all the info I needed. Also it was my birthday and the upgraded me for free.

Stayed here last night for a small sunset wedding in Sedona. Check in was smooth and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had about a dozen people back at the hotel after the wedding for food catered by a local Italian restaurant. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly allowing us to use a wonderful well lit patio to enjoy the food and fellowship. Breakfast was great and again the staff was awesome. Thanks to everyone on staff, you made everything better.

So we are Hyatt members and I have to say this particular property is a let down compared to other Hyatts. The outside is stunning. The architecture, landscaping, pool and outside amenities are excellent. Unfortunately it stops there. The room we had was dingy, dark, small, and REAKED of cigarette smoke. It looked like an apartment from the 1970s. Depressing as can be. We stayed for a week and were informed there would be no maid service due to ”COVID”, which, is hilarious since none of the other areas were concerned about COVID. There was no mask wearing or safe distancing in the lobby or any signs to that effect. The only folks wearing masks in all of Sedona were from California (lol!). We had to plead for clean towels (in fact the person at the front desk had to ask permission from her manager!). As Hyatt members we were supposed to be treated to a bottle of water per guest, per day. Of course there was none of that. The coffee pot was ancient and spilled water all over everything. Did they keep the worst room for Hyatt members using points (certainly the Hyatt in Santa Barbara does just that)? We won't know because it's doubtful we will go back. Oh, and even the lobby is bare. The Hyatt's we've been to have at least some water or cucumber water in a jug somewhere---but don't expect any free water in Arizona!

Spectacular views of the Sedona scenery is the reason to stay here. We paid extra for a top floor room and red rock view and very much enjoyed the stunning vistas. King size room has ”instagram-able” decor and attributes (I'm looking at you Stick-Hanging-on-a-Rope and Weird-Space-Age-Lamps), but it's narrow, only comes with two bath towels (is that a thing now at hotels?), and lacks bedside lights to read by. The cozy blankets on a southwest ladder were a nice touch for sitting outside, but the two room chairs are not very comfortable for extended sitting by the fireplace. The fantastic patio deck is directly outside the back door and has fire pits and propane heaters with lots of seating choices including tables, couches, comfy chairs. It was lovely to sit with a coffee or drink and watch the sun rise and the sun set and the landscape change colors. Truly special. Not so special was being close to the outside bar/restaurant area which is on the same deck and having nightly revelers partying outside the room. Ask for a room farther away from the restaurant. The hotel seems to be undergoing a management change and/or renovation. We were not aware of the $25 nightly parking charge before we arrived. The staff seemed overworked except for Gino the bartender, Thomas the propane guy, and a nice server on Tuesday. They seemed understaffed, especially considering the large wedding party staying there. Housekeeping is terrific. Food and drinks are okay. (What Southwestern bar runs out of triple sec for margaritas?) In spite of these nit-picks, we would consider staying here again. Location is great, in a quiet area that is easily accessible to trails and restaurants. The amazing Sedona scenery is the star.
