"This hotel is located near Yangming Old Town in Shaoxing, with many restaurants nearby, making it very convenient for dining and getting around. The service from the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff was warm and responsive. The bedding in the room was clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. There was even a complimentary late-night snack, which was a thoughtful touch. However, the downside was that the room was too small, and the design of the bathroom was quite peculiar. It was already cramped, but the door design required opening and closing it four times to enter the shower, and you had to squeeze in sideways to get in and out. I doubt a larger guest would even be able to get into the bathroom! 😀"

"The hotel is located in the bustling area of Keqiao New District, where dining and entertainment are concentrated, although Keqiao New District is far away from the central city. The hotel room I booked was an executive suite, which was more than 60 square meters and was relatively comfortable. During the National Day, the room price rose to 570 yuan, and the room decoration was average. There are three people living there, but they are always given 2 pairs of slippers each time. Only after contacting the front desk will they be given an additional pair. I don’t know why. But the breakfast coupon turned out to be for 2 people. The front desk was very polite and gave me a breakfast coupon for 1 person."

"The accommodation environment is good, and the service is excellent. I encountered a small issue during my stay, which the housekeeping department handled perfectly. I booked a deluxe twin room, and the front desk upgraded me to a room on the second floor of Building 8, near the elevator. Upon entering, there was a strong odor from the toilet side, but it disappeared after flushing a few times. The room lighting was a bit dim, but the courtyard view was beautiful, and it was quiet at night. On the day of check-out, I even went to the first floor opposite to look at my room from the outside and noticed that the windows were tinted, providing excellent privacy, which was reassuring. The breakfast selection was decent, and the taste was standard. I particularly enjoyed the fried noodles and preserved vegetable biscuits. One suggestion: I hope there can be labels for the three sauces in the salad bar, indicating their names. It was quite a long walk from Shaoxing North Station by subway. I'd recommend taking a taxi directly from the high-speed rail station to the hotel lobby instead. Check-in was very smooth, and overall, I'm satisfied. I hope to have the chance to stay at Shaoxing Hotel again when I visit Shaoxing in the future."

"The hotel has a charming, antique village-like atmosphere. The room we stayed in was in a great location, very close to the restaurant, and came with butler service and shuttle transfers. The room type matched the photos we saw when booking. The hotel uses old-fashioned keys for the doors, which is quite unique. The courtyards are interconnected, and during our stay, we noticed people passing through, which raised concerns about safety and privacy. It's important to lock your courtyard gate securely when you go out. The cleanliness could be improved; there was dust in corners. Since our room was by the lake with lots of greenery, insects would enter when we opened and closed the windows this season. I recommend the hotel address this issue. We enjoyed the hotel's Wupeng boat experience. The hotel also offers direct access to the Dayu Mausoleum scenic area, though tickets need to be purchased. It would be even better if future stays could include a collaboration with the attraction. The staff were warm and polite, and we even received a souvenir upon checkout."

"The restaurant offers a great variety of authentic Shaoxing local snacks, all fresh and delicious. The dining area is very clean, and I loved starting each day with a full and happy stomach before heading out to explore. The swimming pool was fantastic too, my daughter had a blast!"

The hotel is right by the river, offering views of the distant bridges, and in the evenings, a magical, fairy-tale-like mist rises from the lake, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The whole town feels ethereal, and the hotel's decor, rich in traditional Chinese style, blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Staying here, you get a real sense of the serene and free-spirited life of the town's inhabitants from earlier times. This trip was absolutely worthwhile; it was fantastic."

I regret not taking photos! The room was spacious and very comfortable; I didn't want to check out. It was a wonderful stay, and I'll definitely choose this Novotel again next time I'm in Shaoxing for business. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"It was a great experience overall. The Ctrip recommendation was very helpful; the hotel offered excellent value for money, a great price, and a convenient location not far from the main scenic area. There are also many lively restaurants nearby. The hotel facilities were well-designed and clean. The only drawback was the attention to detail; the showerhead sprayed water everywhere, and when turned on, it sprayed water directly down from the ceiling, making it difficult to dodge. However, this minor flaw doesn't detract from the overall experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Thank you very much to Ctrip for the recommendation."

"This is one of the better hotels in Shaoxing, with excellent facilities across the board. Its biggest advantage is its proximity to Lu Xun's Former Residence and Shen Garden – it's literally at the best and closest spot right at the entrance of the scenic area, and also close to the subway. Regarding the accommodation, we booked a garden view courtyard room on the first floor. It was very convenient, saving us from constantly taking the elevator. There were a few more mosquitoes and it was a bit humid, but thankfully, we had two sunny days during our stay. Upon arrival, we noticed the bathroom sink was clogged, but the hotel promptly cleared it after we notified them, which was great. Now, about the restaurant. The menu wasn't extensive, but we tried some famous local dishes like Shaoxing Sanxian, Dongpo Pork, Stinky Tofu, and Drunken Fish. The dining service here is quite different from what you'd find in southern Guangdong. We weren't offered tea after sitting down; when we asked about it, the waiter just brought three bowls for tea. There were no napkins either. Basically, they don't offer anything unless you ask. After dinner, when we requested toothpicks, they pulled out a handful of loose ones and gave us one or two. It's hard to associate this kind of service with a five-star hotel. Perhaps for a second-tier city, this is as good as it gets, so one shouldn't expect too much!"

"Pros: The location is excellent, right next to Fushan Park. The hotel's internal environment is also very good, and the staff are polite and proactive in resolving issues. Areas for Improvement: 1. The breakfast selection is quite limited. 2. The smart system isn't very smart, especially the curtains – there's a delay when opening and closing them, and the smart assistant ('Xiao Du') isn't very responsive. 3. There was a tiny bit of dust in the corners of the room. Overall: What I got was roughly equivalent to what I paid, so no major disappointments, but no big surprises either."
