"Good breakfast and dinner. Love the SPA: the temperature in the water is just right. 2 saunas available (one with the temperature between 80-100 and the other between 40-60 degrees). Good coffee served at the bar. The rooms are well heated. Cable tv available with a large variety of programs in different languages (romanian, hungarian, english, german, italian)"

"This was a spa hotel and overall it was a great experience. There was some left to be desired. Pros: nice mineral springs, saunas, pools. nice spa mud treatments. diverse and fresh breakfast, beautiful views of the lake. Cons: some members or the party had issues with a/c in their room, some flooding in the bathroom. they turned off the coffee machines 30 minutes before breakfast ended. we booked a double matrimonial bed but ended with 2 twins on wheels that fell apart. the room keys had to be fixed as they did not work the first time. overall, the experience was good. but, they did not care in the slightest when we were inconvenienced."

"We stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Crystal in Sovata and we really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to answer questions. The hotel looks new and everything was very clean, from the room to the spa and restaurant. The spa was a nice place to relax after a day out, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style and the food was very good. Everything was fresh, warm and tasty, and they always refilled the trays quickly when something was finished. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back."

"Everything was as expected and even beyond in some aspects. The staff is friendly and helpful. They all speak Romanian, Hungarian and English. The rooms are big enough and the cleaners are doing a good job. We had breakfast and dinner included and the food was good and varied. The SPA is great but can be a bit crowded as it serves 3 hotels: Sovata, Bradet and Ursina. The parking is a bit crowded too but we found a parking spot - that costs 15 RON per day. Our daughter forgot her plush toy in the room and we found out too late, but the staff went above and beyond and sent it to our home through a fast courier service."

"Very nice big rooms and great spa. Staff was nice and friendly. Great location Unfortunately the parking area is too small amd I had to park on the side of the road away fron the hotel. The cleaning lady never cleaned the room, even when the sign on the door was askibg for it."

"The hotel is nice and clean, the personnel is very polite and helpful, the food is delicious but gods forbid, the SPA is not a source or relaxation but one of stress. The SPA is overcrowded and very, very loud. People have no clue how to behave in a spa. They are loud, they go to the sauna without towels, they jump in the pools, and even though there are signs encouraging quietness in the salt water pools, they are ignored. Plus, people from 3 hotels come to the same spa, maybe this should be restricted to just the guests of the Sovata hotel. For the love of god, hotel managers, please do something!!! Obviously, the current approach isn't working. Find a system that works - inform people of the decent behaviors in a SPA, put bigger messages in the spa, or some screens with big text / video about behaving in a spa. Create some rules, enforce them somehow, DO SOMETHING! If others managed to create a nice, relaxinf spa, so can you!! I came to this hotel to relax but it was a terrible experience, getting angry each time I went to the SPA because of the lack of common sense of the other hotel guests."

"We stayed for 3 nights during April 2025 and liked very much the location and service. The room was nice and clean, the location very close to the Bear lake so we enjoyed a few minutes walk to the lake. The breakfast was good, the only downside is that if you come late after 9:40 is no longer replenished. It is super hot in the room, we asked for the heat to be totally switched off and even so the temperature was high, thus it is perfect for the heat lovers. Overall it was a very nice experience and I would choose the same location if I would return to Sovata."

"Very expensive, at 250 euro a night. Not a single day without having problems with the keys(cards). The staff at reception is nice(also the rest), but they are too few and you have to wait a lot to actually talk to one. Breakfast is ok, but dinner is very bad, and you only get water(this for 250e/night). The hotel is old(a bit renovated), but dirty. The elevator is slow, old, dirty and rusty. The rooms are ok, but still not very clean, and far from 4 stars. The shower is a joke, half of the nozzles are clogged and the other half go each one in its own direction. The parking isn't free(even at 250/night) and you cant really find one close to the hotel unless you are lucky. The pools are ok, but dirty. There are too few chairs. The door that leads outside is old, rusty and dirty. The windows are dirty and have spiderwebs on them. The bar at the pool has very few things to sell(nothing special, you find everything at any store) at very high prices(3-4 times the price of a supermarket). It's not worth more than 100 euros per night."
