From the moment we arrived at Sala Choengmon Beach, we were completely captivated by its stunning beauty. The resort is a paradise, and the staff are kind, attentive, and go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable. We stayed in the garden pool villa for four nights and loved every moment. The hotel’s amenities were excellent—everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. The restaurant was a highlight, serving delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast, while the pool bar made happy hour a real treat. The laundry service was exceptional, leaving our clothes smelling absolutely divine. To end our trip on the ultimate high, we enjoyed the “Sweet Escape” couples massage package, and a huge thank-you to Mew and Pear for making it such a stunning experience. Their skill and care left us completely blissed-out! This part of Koh Samui is quieter, offering a peaceful retreat, but getting around was effortless thanks to the scooter hire shop conveniently located next to the resort’s entry. Their friendly service made exploring the island a breeze. We’re incredibly thankful for an amazing stay and will remember Sala Choengmon Beach for many years to come. It’s an experience we would happily return to again and again!

Review: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) From the moment we arrived at Marasca, we knew we were in for something special. The resort is very well-secured at the entrance, giving us peace of mind right away. The front office team was simply superb—friendly, efficient, and attentive in just the right way. Our porter was quick to assist with our luggage, no fuss, no wait—just seamless service. Although early check-in wasn’t available when we arrived, the hotel’s app made all the difference. Through the app, we could explore the resort, make requests, and track our room status. Eventually, we received a notification that our room was ready—such a convenient system! The room itself? Immaculate! Spotless and thoughtfully designed with a massive bed, a sparkling clean shower area, a cozy separate seating space, and an automated toilet that lifts the cover for you. No-touch toilet seat? That’s a huge bonus! We were also greeted with a delightful welcome basket in the room, packed with special drinks, snacks, and even a handwritten postcard by the General Manager. It was such a warm and personal touch—it’s hard not to fall in love with the place instantly. We did try the spa, and while it’s on the pricier side, the service and facilities were absolutely worth every penny—top-notch from start to finish. Cabanas, the beach club at Marasca, is another highlight. Ultra-chilled vibes, beautifully designed with lush greenery, comfy furniture, and a view that opens right up to Chaweng Beach. It was the perfect place to unwind. Breakfast? Impressive. A great mix of Western and Asian dishes, plus a healthy spread of salads, pastries, yogurt, juices, and smoothies. The little touches like free healthy shots in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon truly made our stay even more enjoyable! Marasca also offers daily activities for guests, so you’ll never run out of things to do. To sum it all up: this is, hands down, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Huge shoutout to the amazing team—Mo, Tony, Ja, Chet, Jenny, Puppup, Andy, Pui, Golf, and the rest whose names I can’t recall. Your teamwork and hospitality were unforgettable. Our expectations were high and in the beginning it really seemed to be living up to them. First of all the staff is incredible - polite, smiling and helpful. The management was thoughtful and caring and the cleanliness was of the highest standard. When trying to use the pool during the day you will find it's impossible. Thai heat simply makes it unbearable and there's absolutely no cover from the sun - in my opinion poor design of the pool area that should have been considered during construction. Another thing is ordering a cocktail by the pool you get it in a plastic cup for water with decoration being a single piece of pineapple. Even the cheapest bars I used to visit would try harder to decorate the cocktail and in my opinion for the price we paid here it definitely shouldn't be served like this. Just seems like low value for money - same goes for the restaurant: We were told there was a barbecue event at the beach but actually it was only the normal menu of the restaurant just like every other day - price is simply too high for the presentation of the food which was just average. Breakfast was also underwhelming and a huge issue for me was the taste of the coffee! I don't know if it's due to desalinated sea water used as drinking water but americano had a horrible salty taste that was impossible to drink. In my opinion bottleded water must be used for the espresso machine because as such it is undrinkable. Finally the location of the resort itself isn't the best, the beach is tiny and rocky and to get anywhere you need to be driven in a buggy which you need to book and then wait. Many times I've witnessed peaople frustrated and give up on waiting for it and walk instead, as we done a few times also. Unfortunately overall I wouldn't plan on returning again even though the staff is exceptional.

Garrya Tonsay Bay was a beautiful and peaceful oasis on Koh Samui! We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!

Another Amari disappointing stay. first was amari hua hin and 2nd is this hotel. stayed in amari koh samui for 4nights, we just got back from koh samui a few days ago. location wise sure cant deny that, it's by the beach front, 5 mins drive away from central koh samui mall and walking from the night life but so does other resorts around the area. when you get to the hotel specially after paying so much per night and to be classified as a 5 star hotel, you expect a good service, a 5 star service. Specially when the first point of contact to the customer service is the front staffs, however very disappointing. Most, if not all of the staffs doesnt seem to smile at all. We arrived early so we had lunch first and sure they managed to give us earlier check in at almost 2pm, their check in is at 3pm. we let it go perhaps we were just too tired and sensitive as we just arrived in koh samui and it was humid, however, throughout our stay their customer service was absolutely lacking. VERY LACKING. specially a few staffs driving the buggy service, we even had an accident one time when we were on our way back to the room, one of the driver drove so fast, THEY ALL DRIVE REALLY FAST, and he rammed onto one of the on coming buggy, i was holding my baby so tight. luckily nothing happened to us. same buggy driver who was had a grumpy look the entire stay and we saw him throwing luggages on to the buggy instead of handling them with care. so when you are taking a buggy, tell them to drive slow. the room, we booked a connecting room, which was a mistake. booking 2 rooms would have been cheaper but anyhow, the room was not clean at all, the bathtub was moldy the floors felt dirty and there were alot of mosquitos every single day. first day we arrived we killed 10 mosquitos in one room whats up with that. breakfast had good selections, they have 3 pools around the resorts as it is a big resort best one is the one over looking the beach, kid friendly pool. they have kids room, not that big just a small room.. anyway overall would i come back here in Amari Koh Samui, absolutely NOT. Would i recommend amari koh samui, absolutely NOT. if you want to stay in a beach front, there are alot of beach front resorts near amari and around the area check that out.. they did something nice from my baby;s birthday, decorated the mirror and gave cake so i appreciated that. with kids i would recommend hyatt koh samui, they are friendlier to kids and service is top notch. we moved there after amari THANK GOODNESS

My recent stay at Cape Fahn Hotel, Koh Samui, was nothing short of extraordinary. Situated on a secluded island off the coast of Koh Samui, Cape Fahn offers a level of privacy and exclusivity that is unmatched. Accessible only by boat, the journey to the island sets the tone for an unforgettable escape from the ordinary. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a refreshing welcome drink. The staff’s attention to detail was evident throughout my stay, from the seamless check-in process to the thoughtful gestures that made me feel like a valued guest. My villa exceeded all expectations. Perched on the edge of the azure sea, it offered panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding islands. The interior design was elegant and refined, with every amenity imaginable to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. The private infinity pool and spacious terrace provided the perfect setting for relaxation and contemplation. Dining at Cape Fahn was a culinary delight. The resort’s restaurants served a variety of gourmet dishes inspired by local flavors, each prepared with precision and creativity. Whether enjoying a romantic dinner under the stars or a leisurely lunch by the pool, every meal was a feast for the senses. The resort’s facilities were equally impressive. From the infinity-edge swimming pool to the state-of-the-art fitness center, there was no shortage of ways to unwind and rejuvenate. I particularly enjoyed the spa, where I indulged in a blissful massage overlooking the ocean, leaving me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Overall, my experience at Cape Fahn Hotel, Koh Samui, surpassed all expectations. It’s a sanctuary of luxury and serenity, where every moment is cherished and every need is anticipated. I can’t wait to return to this hidden gem in paradise.

We booked the All Inclusive package at Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa through Trip.com, but unfortunately the experience did not match what “all inclusive” usually means. At check-in we were told that our “all inclusive” included only two dishes per person for lunch and dinner, plus breakfast the next day. This was very surprising, because we paid significantly more specifically for the full package. The administrator also informed us that desserts were included and that our son could order ice cream anytime. However, at lunch the waiter said desserts were not included, and only after calling the manager were we allowed to take one dessert for free “as an exception”. The sauna was also not included, even though we expected it to be part of an all-inclusive stay. For dinner, the all-inclusive menu in the seaside restaurant was extremely limited compared to the regular menu, so we could not find anything suitable and had to go to the main restaurant instead. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, but later at the beach bar we were unexpectedly told that drinks were no longer included, which had not been explained in advance. What made the experience even more disappointing is that we previously stayed at another Marriott property — Le Meridien Khao Lak — where the All Inclusive package was absolutely outstanding. It included multiple à la carte restaurants, a full buffet with unlimited dishes, drinks, and desserts, and overall was far superior — while actually costing slightly less than what we paid at Renaissance Koh Samui. Overall, although we paid several times more for the All Inclusive package at Renaissance Koh Samui, what we received was only two dishes per meal, a very limited menu, almost no included desserts or drinks, and inconsistent information from the staff. Unfortunately, it was far from the Marriott-level all-inclusive experience we expected and not worth the extra cost.

Housekeeping was not up to expectations, on day 2 after housekeeping, 2 pairs of slippers became 1.5 pair after we returned to room & it remained the same for the next 2 days until checked out. Tissue box ran out on day 2 was not refilled after housekeeping & was only done when I took out the empty box to show on vanity top on day 3. Bath tub n shower were separated but only 1 floor mat at bath tub area. On 3rd day the 2nd floor mat appeared finally at shower area. Staff were friendly & helpful tho’ & spa was running a promo 1 for 1 which was good. Gym facilities was good with shower room just next to it with towels & toiletries, nice! Location wise is not ideal as need transport to the market places & restaurants at Chaweng & Fisherman Village, spent a bit on grab….stayed 4D3N twin room garden view with balcony & enjoyed quietness & near to reception. BF was good!

The property itself is a masterpiece of Thai design, with lush, manicured gardens leading to a deep, inviting pool area and a pristine, clean beach dotted with comfortable chaise lounges. It was the ideal spot to unwind with a book or simply listen to the gentle waves. Our room was a haven of quiet luxury, providing a peaceful retreat after days filled with sunshine. The facilities are top-tier, but what truly elevates the experience is the staff. Incredibly attentive and genuinely warm, they anticipated our needs with a smile, making us feel truly valued. The resort also masterfully balances relaxation with entertainment. We particularly enjoyed the fun weekly BBQ night on the beach, where a dazzling fire show lit up the palm-fringed sky, complemented by talented live singers who created a magical atmosphere. Dining was a consistent delight. The sumptuous breakfast buffet offered an astounding variety of international and local dishes, setting us up perfectly for the day. A highlight was arranging a romantic dinner on the beach—an unforgettable experience of exquisite food with sand between our toes. For a change of pace, a short stroll placed us amidst plenty of local shops and cafes, though the resort’s allure often made it hard to leave. The Royal Mueang Samui is a rare find—a peaceful, luxurious sanctuary that also knows how to have a little fun. We left feeling utterly pampered and are already dreaming of our return.
