"Lovely clean and tidy rooms in a great location. The bathroom has no window blind or curtain. The Duvet was winter weight for a hot summer night, not at all suitable. Check in was haphazard. Service at breakfast was slow and inattentive.I had to take the coffee pot to the chef to get it refilled. No cereals other than Granola and Yoghurt. The sour dough toast was like rock. Staff had to be searched out. It was not value for money."

"Stopped in for a quick bite to eat for evening club cycle ride. Used the app, fast service and great food. Had the chicken wings. Good selection of food and app is easy to use as I didn't want to leave my bike unattended.Nice large beer garden and conveniently located right opposite the train station. Will be calling in on the way back for a pint. Staff very good. Was asked if I need a glass of water (Hannah) as I'd forgotten my bike bottle"

"Lovely one night stay whilst visiting Berkshire. We ate in the pub which was very busy so there was a bit of a wait for food but we were warned when ordering so no issue with that. Really lovely room, exceeded our expectations and lovely shower room as well. Breakfast was great and served fresh from a menu rather than a buffet which was nice. Staff really friendly and we will definitely stay again."

"Lovely hotel with sauna , steam, pool and jacuzzi. Great for an overnight stay and if it's not too busy, are welcome to use the facilities further, after checkout. Friendly staff and the breakfast is good. Price can vary but I had a great deal . Second time and will return again."

"i was disappointed with the food. roast potatoes not crispy. veg bland. for the price i would have expected more. the standard needs raising. other pubs are outdoing them. for the reputation locally it is unjustified travelling. the village and the pub itself is lovely and worth a visit. infact the pantry has vastly superior food. friendly staff which was great but again for the prices they were scruffy which gave the impression of lack of professionalism."
