Going to the room, Ohbasan tried his best to introduce various facilities in English along the way. Each room has a private open-air hot spring, mini-bar soft drinks are free, and equipped with various teas and capsule coffee. There is a reading room and a rest area in the hotel garden, with free drinks and desserts. I went to the reading room for a walk and was ready to leave. The waiter was afraid that I didn’t know that I could order and chased me to the door to ask if I needed a drink. For us, however, everything here was positive: we really liked our room - you could actually say a suite with a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and our own garden onsen if you like - and we had a really relaxing week here. The fact that this place has 18 different baths, each with its own separate design, is the highlight. The food is excellent - every day there was a typical Japanese breakfast and dinner with a lively selection of vegetables, meat and fish dishes. The nature is beautiful and invites you to take long walks. The lobby is comfortably warm and the free Wi-Fi is extremely convenient for people who don't have Japanese cell phones. We traveled all the way from Munich and I suspect it won't be the last time."

Refused to serve us dinner although it is out of town with no other food service nearby. USD300 was a big mistake, $100 would have been more adequate."

The website showed luxurious tempura and other dishes, but all we got was shabu-shabu, sushi, simmered dishes, and jelly. Breakfast was also disappointing, and this was with two meals included, costing over 10,000 yen per person compared to a room-only stay! And to top it all off, there were only about five staff members, so I wonder how they plan to get through a public holiday... All the staff were foreigners, and their Japanese was broken.
