Umi Hotel ★★★★

📍 Leirnavegur road nr. 243, Hvolsvöllur, Rangárþing eystra

"This hotel offers a fantastic environment for its location, complete with free sauna access and excellent service – they even helped me print some documents, which was great. The only issue is that the 'sea view' room doesn't really have a sea view. It overlooks a patch of grass, and the sea is very far away, about a 20-minute walk. You basically can't see the sea from the room. I'd recommend booking a mountain view room instead; it would probably be prettier."

Vík Cottages ★★★

📍 Klettsvegur 3, Vik

"Hotel Vik and Vik Cottage are the same place, but the prices are similar, the facilities are decent, and the hot water is plentiful. However, Hotel Vik is larger and has more complete facilities. I would choose Hotel Vik next time I stay here."
