"Nice hotel in the city. My room was lovely, big, with big bathroom and all was perfect. You can relax outside in the patio. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. In the morning, you have good breakfast included in the price. Parking in garage so all is safe. All experience was great"

"I was in the one of the Atlantis suites and it was excellent value - a big lounge, big bedroom and separate bathroom. The rooms were clean and spacious, cool and nicely furnished. There was a short order cook at breakfast for eggs and the room service was tasty and was delivered quickly when I had a working lunch in the room. The wifi was more reliable than at the more expensive hotel where I stayed in Windhoek, and there was parking on site. The front desk staff were cheerful and friendly. The hotel is well located in the centre of town close to the port, the drydock and many commercial establishments. I got Marriott Bonvoy points as well. Only two downsides are there is no gym or fitness room at the hotel, and secondly the fridge in the living space was remarkably noisy. There are flashier places in Walvis Bay on the esplanade but for a short stay I would recommend the Protea Indongo Hotel"

"The hotel communicates well, making it easy to get clarity before booking. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the thoughtful welcome treat placed in our room. Food portions are generous and well prepared. On the downside, the basin drainage was poor, causing water to sit for some time. Additionally, the shower lacked a soap holder, which meant opening the door frequently and resulted in water spilling onto the floor. The shower size is also a bit small and may feel uncomfortable for bigger-built guests. Aside from these issues, I would recommend the hotel."

"It's my second stay, and it is a home away from home. Elsabe and the ladies really take such good care of you and will assist you with anything you require. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We stayed in the new rooms that were built. The corridor where the tea station is can get a bit noisy when people are there. Other than that, it's a lovely guesthouse in very close proximity to the ocean."

"We stayed here for 3 nights. The room (No 1) was ground floor with partial sea view. Room was spacious with twin beds and sofas too. Bathroom had great walk-in shower and underfloor heating. Breakfast was buffet plus cooked to order. There is a electric-gated car park. The also have a limited menu for during the day. Staff pleasant and efficient. Great views across the lagoon with its many flamingoes and pelicans. Close to restaurants at the marina/sea-front."

"Well run B&B. Clean and comfortable rooms. Secure parking. Good location. Lovely breakfast. Very pleasant staff. Our Apartment 2 was very spacious and had a washing machine and courtyard area which was convenient. Only reason I deducted a star is because of miscommunication we had on check regarding parking for another member of our group. WiFi was also not very stable. But the positives outweigh that. I would definitely recommend it."

"This hotel is in the first row on the beach. You have to cross the main road and a car park to get to the sea. You can see lots of flamingos from the west-facing rooms. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Even though the furnishings are a bit dated, guests feel comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is well attended and has a varied menu. I find the acoustics in the restaurant to be a disadvantage, which is annoying for many guests. It is also worth mentioning that salt is transported on the street in front of the hotel in huge trucks, which can be heard and felt in the hotel (vibrations). Fortunately, such transport only takes place during the day and it was quiet at night during our stay."

"An easy walk to the bay, this lovely guesthouse was our place for two nights while in Walvis. Carla, (I believe is her name, forgive me if wrong!) was a super professional front desk welcomer (possibly the owner?) and very helpful when needed. It's a well run establishment due to her vigilance. Everything is clear. Parking easy. I enjoyed running the 5K around Walvis Bay while my more adventurous partner went on a 4x4 Sandwich Bay excursion. There is a big mall nearby (if you have a vehicle) that will provide all things you might want from a grocery store, and more. When our flight was changed, and my phone didn't work well, I was able to use the house phone! Yay. That was an enormous relief. Sidenote: My husband became slightly ill before our departure flight, and he and I just chilled in the beautiful living area. I read all the books there (now I know many more tidbits about habitats in Namibia) while he was able to stretch out on the sofa. The staff brought him a blanket. How much that meant! Thank you everyone at The Rez!"
