Given that President Jiang Zemin stayed here in 1992, it can be assumed that it was a luxury hotel for that time. The breakfast was good. The next morning, I had an itinerary that included Tianjishan Mountain, which is part of the Bali Scenic Area; since the bus terminal was nearby, I had no trouble catching the 8 o'clock bus after breakfast. As it is a city hotel, there is a wide variety of restaurants and shops nearby."

When we were eating breakfast, they stopped us and said that the nine-year-old had to pay separately. I said that we had been out for eight days and all the hotels we booked included breakfast. No hotel stopped us. The waiter said that he couldn't make the decision and had to ask the leader. I said it was okay. As a result, the restaurant leader said that I couldn't make the decision either and had to ask for instructions. I said that I wasn't hungry anyway, and it was so troublesome. Let the children eat. After about ten minutes, the waiter replied that I didn't have to pay and could eat. I said that I was really not hungry. I was tired of eating breakfast in the hotel for seven consecutive days. They even offer a shuttle service to and from Pang Dong Lai (a local department store/supermarket). Getting around from here is pretty convenient; all three Pang Dong Lai stores are not far, and it’s easy to get to them using a shared bike. There's a lamb soup restaurant next to the hotel – can't recall the name, but it was delicious. We spent a day at Baoquan Scenic Area and then did some shopping at Pang Dong Lai."

"This was by far the worst Ji Hotel I've ever stayed at. There was a huge bug in the room, it looked like a rove beetle but without wings, so I'm not sure what it was. Getting into the parking lot was also a hassle; we waited forever for the gate to open. It took several attempts for the camera to read our license plate, and I honestly thought no one was at the guard booth. Turns out, the security guard was just sitting inside. After finally parking, we were told we couldn't park on the hotel side and had to move to the street side. I didn't think we were blocking anything, but fine, we moved to the very back. The next morning, someone had parked in our spot, which we weren't even allowed to park in, and they were double-parked (even though we weren't allowed to double-park before!). As you can see in the picture, there was barely any space between the two cars. We were in a hurry that morning, and getting our car out from the very back was a real test of driving skills."

"I've always preferred staying at established hotels (great locations and good dining options), and this one certainly didn't disappoint. Located in the city center, opposite a plaza and garden, and a 10-minute walk from People's Park, it's perfect for an evening stroll. All three branches of Pang Donglai are only 2-3 kilometers away, and I finally got to visit the incredibly popular Pang Donglai! The hotel room was spacious, and they even provided fruit. A special mention goes to the hotel's Chinese restaurant: retired people tend to eat dinner early, so we went to the restaurant around 5 pm, but there was no one there. We asked the lobby manager, who immediately called the restaurant to inform them that we had hotel guests wanting to dine. The restaurant promptly turned on the lights and warmly welcomed us. Seeing that there were only two of us, they even told us not to order too much. We had authentic Yellow River carp and mutton stew noodles – delicious! Overall, a great experience!"
