Arriving late in the afternoon and getting our key from the pleasant receptionist our first thoughts were that the whole hotel looked shabby and unloved. We negotiated the concrete pillars to park in the outdoor car park. Many obviously hadn’t successfully avoided the pillars! A very uninviting, unloved dirty pool was noted. Having only booked that morning we thought we were lucky to have found a room for three nights so were accepting, although disappointed, when we saw our room. Every room has an ocean view and a small balcony and the hotel itself is in a prime position close to the beach, shops and eateries. The rooms are privately owned and it seems in this hotel it is a lucky dip if you get a renovated room or a dated problematic room. Although sheets were clean our room was old and certainly not renovated. It had a washing machine, no dryer, which was fine but as I discovered after washing no drying rack either. I put a load of washing on and had a shower in the very small area. The light was so feeble we had to put the heat light on to see, which meant you “cooked”. After my shower I noticed the whole floor had water on it, to this day I am not sure whether from the washing machine or shower as there was no cubicle, just an area with a shower curtain. As the tiles were like ice when wet we used every towel we could find, and our beach towels, to ensure we had a safe path and didn’t slip. Reception was closed. In the morning I spoke to a receptionist and her reply was what can we do! It was suggested the cleaners just mopped the room but I suggested we move rooms! I wasn’t game to try the shower again! To the manager’s credit we were moved to a much nicer room, with shower cubicle and thoughtful touches for the next two nights. The hotel advertises free wifi but on asking for a password was told it only worked in the foyer. Some guests were very upset as they felt it was false advertising. I certainly wouldn’t stay here again although we were told management had changed. The hotel isn’t cheap and the first room we were given was sub standard. The cleaners were all lovely.

It’s very spacious and such a great location in the middle of everything so walking distance to shops, lagoon and restaurants. The kids absolutely loved the stay. My husband, myself and two kids had the main bedroom upstairs which did not have shutters to stop the sunlight coming in and we could hear all our family members moving around throughout the apartment. Other apartments we have stayed in have shutters to block the downstairs area out a bit more. It’s a great stay but the apartments need maintenance as well. The doors to the balcony didn’t open cause the locks were like ceased up with rust. We had a problem with our first room with no aircon and the staff were more than happy to move us and get us sorted in another apartment. They were very easy and approachable and aimed to provide us with comfortable accommodation. Pool waterfall wasn’t working.. lots of hair in the pool so needed a bit of a clean or better filter?

Great location and walking distance to lagoon and the strand. Our 3 bed apartment was great value for a 3 night stay. Unfortunately housekeeping not so great. We found biscuits stashed in the back of a draw. Sitting on the couch you could see little toys under the tv cabinet left behind from previous guests. A vac and mop would have found these. Under all beds were extremely dusty even though one of our rooms had a bed configuration change. Great views of the ocean. While we found check in easy the old couple before us had trouble as they were told to scan a QR CODE to check in and then told the same thing to access the guest book with information. Beds were comfy and lots of space for our family. Unfortunately was a little cold for the pools and they don’t suit families with small children.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel, and the host was more than accommodating and friendly. I came with a large group, and we were all treated very well. I highly recommend it because the aesthetics were pleasing and the location couldn’t be better.
