The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Tinamen Mountain cable car (10 minute walk), and close to many restaurants. We got a room upgrade to a very big, comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is excellent, delicious traditional chinese cuisine. The hotel haas a travel agency (where we booked tickets to the national park saving us the lines), money exchange service and several grocery stores.
Overall everything was good except for a very unpleasant interaction with the staff. We had an early train in the morning and we asked at the front desk to help us book a taxi in advance. The entire staff, none of them speaks english obviously, 5 people started to make fun of us in chinese for several minutes, eventually telling us to to catch a taxi on the road at 5 in the morning. What is so funny about asking the hotel staff to call a taxi? It was very humiliating, this hotel clearly does not care for its foreign guests. I've stayed in several hotels in China, never have I experienced anything similar. Additionaly, since we checked out before breakfast the hotel refused to provide us with any appropriate compensation, offering us a bottle of water and a piece of bread. Cannot recommend this hotel.
