GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients.
It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch.
The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.
PPHS65Excellent service from the lady boss and the staff. From the time I contacted her, she sent me lots of information about getting to the guesthouse. More importantly, she followed up with me to ensure that I am on the right track to the guesthouse. This was very much appreciated as I had a flight delay and that messed up my original travel plan. The lady boss was very proactive in ensuring that I find my way to the guesthouse. The lady boss' daugther is very cute and adorable. She shared part of her orange with me and when I told her that I liked it, she went off and got one for me! Even wanted to help me with my luggage but a little difficult as she's only 8 years old.
The guesthouse is located on top of a small hill and lady boss will pick up guests at the bottom of the hill; actually, in my opinion, hardly needed as it's only 10 minutes or less walk up a gentle slope but she does the pickup as part of the service that they offer.
The room is very nice and clean. The toilet is western style and has a very nice touch - spot lights are installed on the toilet ceilings and when the nights are cold, you will really appreciate the warmth from these lights after coming out from your shower!
And finally, they will drive guests out to 2 of the best viewpoints for the Tianluokeng cluster at no additional charge.
SSabulinuoThe location is excellent, right at the entrance of Gong Alley in Sanfang Qixiang. It's super convenient to get to by subway, less than a 10-minute walk.
The hotel itself is full of ancient charm, and the two small courtyards in the middle are quite delightful and atmospheric. The staff are all very warm and attentive.
The rooms are all traditional wooden structures, and since it's located within a scenic area, if you're sensitive to noise, I'd recommend contacting the hotel in advance to arrange your room location.
XXihuanfeixiangdezhuOverall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
GGuest UserI only given an Honest opinion of our stay, let start with a positive note the staff was very friendly & helpful also very close to main hubs . Lucky I can speak Chinese otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get into our room due to code changed by the owner also if you can’t understand Chinese you won’t be able to find this place at all, I’d to ask 3 or 4 people to find this place because is situated inside an alley way for local residents it’s not a hotel it’s more like a Airbnb. We were given room no.2 on the ground floor which was reek with cigarette smells from receptionist area & people next door the room smells really bad from sewerage poor ventilation Very noisy neighbors talking loudly till late, the wall must be paper thin, our bed was really hard you can feel every spring , we believe it’s the base of the bed they were using by mistake because western bed came in 2 segments bottom a hard spring & top are soft without springs, we were so uncomfortable in that bed we couldn’t sleep the whole night also due to noise from nearby. The deco was ok in the room thanks God the aircon works well by the way there is NOT a single hook you can hang your clothes.
GGuest UserI would highly recommend Changdi Inn, housed in a family owned tulou in a peaceful spot by the river in the village. a very unique experience! Our host Steven spoke great English and was the most friendly and helpful host. Our dinner was prepared by the mother and we could enjoy that and breakfast in the tulou courtyard. Very special !
GGuest UserOnly those who understand Gulangyu will choose this place. Located in the center of the island, not in the bustling downtown, it is convenient and free from the hustle and bustle of the commercial city. Needless to say, Chuncaotang is beautiful. Chuncaofan is from the same family as it. Just below Chuncaotang, Gulangyu's only open-air swimming pool and sightseeing elevator were moved into his private residence. Here you can feel the comfortable, refined and elegant life of our ancestors. It is very worthwhile, and I also want to give a big thumbs up to the housekeeper👍
GGuest User100-word review (Sea view + breakfast + afternoon tea)
The room had a superb sea view, was spotless and tidy throughout, and had a lovely ambiance, making me feel very safe. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients and tasted great. The afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The staff were warm and attentive, making for a fantastic experience from start to finish. It's the perfect place to stay for a vacation in Xiamen, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

SShiahanga!A hundred faints! ! ! Living in an earth building is a very special experience (many earth buildings in scenic spots do not allow people to go upstairs, so you have to pay to go upstairs! You can live here directly). I came here before the National Day. I was very lucky that only two people stayed in the entire earth building. , Hahaha, very quiet and a great experience! The store did a great job in upgrading the room type. I would like to praise the lady at the front desk by name! The person was super nice and even gave us grapefruits and recommended the itinerary in great detail! Went to Tianluokeng to see the rice terraces which were very beautiful! A great experience
温温姑娘What an amazing experience! It was so cool to actually stay inside a Tulou. I was lucky that my room even had an en-suite bathroom! The owner was incredibly kind; they waited up for me despite my very late check-in. Since I specifically traveled all the way from Taiwan, the owner thoughtfully lit up the beautiful red lanterns for me, which looked absolutely stunning in photos! They also helped me take pictures and booked my bus ticket down the mountain. They truly go above and beyond to care for their guests! A huge thank you to the owner! I had such a wonderful time. If I get the chance, I'll definitely bring my family and friends to visit again!
