It seems to be the former Travelodge hotel. It's built right by the road, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window in the room looking out onto it. The room itself is quite spacious, but the soundproofing isn't great. There aren't many shops nearby, just one Subway according to the map, and the hotel does have a restaurant. I guess many people stay here just for one night to catch a flight, as it's the only hotel close to the airport. They offer a paid shuttle service, $10 for one person and $15 for two, with the earliest shuttle at 7 AM. Our flight was too early, so we couldn't use it. Be warned! Even though it's close to the airport and a taxi should only be around $12, drivers might try to overcharge. Our taxi driver demanded $30. Since we had some extra time, we refused and decided to walk to the airport ourselves. It was almost 2 kilometers, and walking alone in the middle of the night with no one around was actually a bit spooky.

The room was very nice, the boss was very nice, and he also provided a rich breakfast. It is also very convenient to go to various tourist attractions. It's also very close to the city. The overall feeling of staying here is very relaxing!

This hotel offers incredible value for money. The facilities are new and very clean, with excellent housekeeping. They thoughtfully replenish water and a small carton of UHT milk daily, which is a lovely touch. Upon check-in, we received welcome cookies and got some fantastic restaurant recommendations (all of which were delicious!). They even took our contact number and sent daily texts to check in on us, which was very considerate. I'll definitely choose this hotel first on my next visit!

This is a very nice hotel with high rise hotels and lower rise buildings of rooms which are quieter and next to the water. The view is fabulous, services is great and there are lots of restaurants and bars around. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting Hobart.

The hotel has a great central location, high up with nice views. There are plenty of shopping and dining options within walking distance. The staff are warm and attentive. The room size is decent, though the amenities are somewhat limited. The bed is very comfortable. However, the soundproofing is quite poor.

It is prefect to stay with children. The room is small, but it is super clean. We love the window in the roof and animals and fruit trees are around us. We picked some pears, and plums. We fed the chicken and ducks, sheeps, hourses, and cow. My daughter really love them!!! The staff in reception are super nice! They gave my daughter animal food many times and still giving us a welcomed face! Really appreciated that! Only one suggestion wanna make that there are only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer may not enough when some groups come. Thank you!

We didn't notice that we needed to check in before 6pm. When we arrived at the hotel after the Cradle Mountain hike, it was just over ten minutes. At first, we thought we had found the wrong entrance to the reception (it was a regular hotel, not a B&B, so we didn't expect that we couldn't check in so early. The sun didn't set until 8pm). There were two staff members sitting at the reception counter (glass door, visible from the outside), and no matter how we knocked or gestured, they just shook their hands. There was a small iron box on the door that needed to be opened with the password given in the email, and there was a key inside. But there were several big words in my email: Unable to display the content of the email! There was no way, we called the hotel, but they didn't answer and transferred the call to voice, so we had to leave a message. Just when we were about to contact Ctrip, the people inside finally came out, opened the iron box, and gave us the key. How arrogant!!!

The breakfast menu featured a delightful array of options, from freshly baked pastries to hearty, made-to-order dishes. Each meal was prepared with care and presented beautifully, making it a pleasure to start our day. The atmosphere at Peppina was equally inviting, with a charming decor that complemented the delicious food, creating a perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast. In the evenings, we enjoyed drinks at Mary Mary, another fantastic venue within the hotel. The bar had a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring both classic favorites and innovative creations crafted by skilled mixologists. Each drink we ordered was expertly made and beautifully garnished, adding to the overall experience. Overall, our stay at the Tasman Luxury Hotel was a true testament to hospitality at its finest. The combination of exceptional service from Tayla and Ebony, along with delightful dining experiences at Peppina and Mary Mary, created a memorable getaway that we will cherish for a long time. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the outstanding care we received throughout our visit.

Fairly decent for a budget traveller but the place is a bit dated and could do with some reno. The bathrooms are tiny and the faucets are leaky (imagine sleeping through the night with the sound of dripping water).

The hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.
