I came here to treat my bad back in the thermal waters which hotel has in its own pools in the basement. In addition you can see the doctor who will examine you and prescribe treatment plan for which they give you package price. Therefore in this sense I have fulfilled purpose of my visit. However all facilities need modernisation. It is privatised communist block. Whoever bought it from the state - maintains it but does not update it much. We have stayed in a suite on the 4th floor - room remembers 1980s. It is functional, practical and clean but this standard absolutely does not justify 300 Euros per night! Pictures on the booking website are heavily photoshopped. I pay that much for a suite in a French Rivera and not in the town 200 km from Budapest! Fair enough - half board was included but food was blunt cantine style. Desert options were stand out - there was large selection of mini cakes. Overall I did enjoy my stay and everyone works really hard there to run it smoothly but I felt I have overpaid for the quality of accomodation. If you are after treatments - don’t include Sunday in your stay as therapists do not work that day. You can only use thermal pools - one quite warm, another very warm. Pool area is very busy on Saturday afternoon so I will avoid weekend next time. The best time is to come before breakfast. They have sauna - very good, steam room - unless you stand in front of the steamer you won’t feel anything. Please rethink the prices or invest in a modernisation for us to be returning.

Отдыхали с семьей в ноябре 21ого. Отель неплох, но чувствуется, что все делается по накатанной без учета потребностей гостей. Из плюсов: Номера чистые, довольно современные. Территория ухоженная, есть детская площадка, но очень маленькая и неинтересная. Вкусные завтраки и ужины. Ресторан достойный. Массажи качественные, даже есть соляная пещера. Из минусов: Говорят по-английски нормально лишь на ресепшн. В ресторане тоже всего пара официантов. В wellness никто. Большинство инфо на объявлениях и фраерах также не представлена на английском. Бассейн ледяной. Стабильная температура не поддерживается ни в плавательном бассейне, ни в джакузи. Все сидят (толпа) в тёплой воде джакузи и в лагушатнике, а бассейн пустой. С детьми также из-за температуры воды невозможно зайти в бассейн. Джакузи на улице не работает. Лежишь там как в ванной без пузырьков. На фото при. На фото при бронировании была представлена горка в бассейне, по факту ее нет. Сауны также не поддерживают обозначенного температурного режима. То слишком натоплено, то почти не греет. Игровая комната слишком мала, хоть и полна игрушек. Если там собирается пара семей, то уже и пройти не получится. Стоит стол с настольным футболом, который занимает пол комнаты и мог бы стоять снаружи.

All inclusive was great, you can enjoy a variety of food and drinks throughout the day. The receptionists were very nice and professional. The room and the view from the balcony are very nice, and the Zalakaros Spa is huge. Thank you for the experience, we will definitely come back!

We got exactly what we asked for and that is a disappontment: in Ensana hotels we always got a room upgrade or some other surprise. Not now. The place is too big, not a bit personal, waiters and other staff just worked as robots, nobody ever spoke to us. They were unmotivated. The staff in the restaurant just took away the plates&cutlery without talking, without giving us another one. The room had a lot of insects, harmless, though. The biggest problem is that there is no place to put&dry your wet clothes, so they are moist next day. Breakfasts and dinners werefine, the lunch was average. Good point: the two electronic playing tables. There is one small playroom for kids, but ours didn't like it much as it was too small and uninteresting. The playroom we saw on photos looks much nicer - where is it? The small kids' pool is good, our kiddo liked it. There are a lot of baby-friendly toilets, too. It is a pity that now they do not give you a lunch on the day of arrival&checkout. And the opportunity to bathe is also cancelled on checkout day. So we had a nice time, but we still felt disappointed. Mixed feelings.

We spent here only one night and booked with breakfast, dinner, and garage. There were big pros and cons during our stay, starting with the parking system. Finding the garage is a challenge and parking could even more so, as the have tiny dark spots between walls and pillars (this, for a surcharge of EUR 12 per night). We booked a higher room category located on the top floor. The room was spacious and the bathroom was alright, but walls and floors looked shabby with lot of stains and dirt that were there for who knows how long. It was not a matter of cleanliness, as the rooms were perfectly clean, but rather maintenance issues. Talking of which, the fan of the heating system kept turning on and off in about every few second, which was extremely annoying (especially in the night), therefore, we had to turn it completely off, resulting in a cool room and being exposed to all kind of noise from the corridor, as isolation is almost non-existing and we could hear every single word from outside, including the lobby music. The bed was comfy and the view was nice though. The highlight, however, was the food. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious with plenty of selection (also for vegetarians). Overall, the value fine, but compared to the price we paid, at best average. It is definitely not a 4-star niveau, but it is mainly due to the maintenance. Location is also great (few minutes walk away from the thermal lake).

It is the perfect place for an pvernight stay along your travels via Western Hungary. The place is clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is good. The heating requires to be looked at. It has been cold in room.

The personnel: Generally speaking, the personnel was rather lovely and relatively friendly. Nevertheless, language-wise, I dare say, it was rather ill-equipped. Numerical: 8/10 The rooms: The room where we resided was relatively clean, at least in the most visible spots. However, the hotel might consider waging a war on pungent odours leaving the toilet, shower and air conditioning. Numerical: 5/10 Dinners and breakfast: Dinners and breakfast is a rather difficult topic to swallow - quite literally, unfortunately. First, the breakfast - it might be better to serve a jam in smaller packaging rather than in a jar which is apparently on the table 24/7 without any cooling whatsoever. The cheese and ham shan't be stored in warm conditions either, especially when there are flies loose in the building. Second, the dinners - food served at a hotel ought to transcend mere satiation of hunger, it should be a source of pleasure - the true culinary art. Yet, the combination of ”cooked” fish with rice is neither a source of pleasure nor a culinary art. Similarly, cooked ham and meat with rice and pickled cucumber (how original )deviates, by its abnormal normality, from all I have eaten before. With a dash of sarcasm, one could say that we tried exotic food, but that would be an insult to anything dubbed exotic. Numerical: 4/10 Conclusion: Two people, 150/night - one would expect better. Was it a disaster? Surely not! Nevertheless, the quality of the offered services and accommodation was much below anyone's reasonable expectations. Numerical: 5.5/10
