"The location is good & easy access to key spots. The rooms were clean & comfortable. Staff were overall professional & helpful. But check out at 10am is too early & not a good point & the company’s app wasn’t easy for foreigners — to enjoy the 11am check out. A disappointing part. Breakfast place is smaller and can get very crowded and too compact. Overall it’s average & without other facilities — other choices may seem more attractive."

"Hotel was decent. Located just next to the train/bus station making it easy to get in and out of the city.  Room was spacious and comfortable. "I would otherwise give a full 5 score for everything, however, I was not made aware and nor does this website explain surcharges. My bill added at the end a 150 yen fee for onsen use - surprising and unexpected, but I'll accept it. What I will not accept is a 2200 yen daily fee entitled 'facilities use', which has no other explanation. I understand there is a 1000 yen daily fee for parking, but 2200 yen per day for what exactly? What 'facility? This is entrapment. Come pay for your room on the website and then just as you're leaving, here's a bill for some more money. Quite outrageous. Now on the plus side, the staff are lovely, polite and incredibly helpful. The onsen is huge, though dated. And the premises is massive overall, seemingly built in the 70s perhaps, and expanded over the years. The room was very large for Japan and comfortable beds and pillows, although the fridge vibrated when the compressor kicked in and was loud enough it disturbed us, so I had to turn it off. So as far as the hotel and its staff are concerned - top notch, but this review serves to warn others of unwritten, unexplained and last minute fees that both this website and the hotel must make clear."

"Hotel has beautiful view of the ocean. Outdoor ocean, the deck outside Italian restaurant overlooking ocean can hear waves crashing on rocks. Our bedroom can see the ocean as well, however, The lighting in the room and bathroom were dark. Staff are nice. We had a Japanese kaiseki dinner which was nice. Only draw back was the staff can’t communicate in English."

Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy. The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated. We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win. The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort. What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle. Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.

We arrived by car, and upon arrival, a staff member kindly guided us to the parking lot. The lobby was also explained thoroughly. I think it's good that they only provide the amenities you need, as they don't leave extra in the room for guests who don't use them, preventing waste. For dinner, we made a reservation at ”Rakuda,” a restaurant attached to a nearby hotel. The sashimi and seared bonito were delicious. The room felt a little small. There was a stand for our suitcases, but since we only had two bags, we sat on the chairs and our luggage was on the floor. 🌀 It was clean, so it was acceptable. We could hear voices from the next room and sounds hitting the walls, but all the rooms were quiet at night, which was good. However, groups talking late into the night would be disruptive. Breakfast was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the fruit and bread 🥐. The toaster was an Aladdin, which I used for the first time, and it made me want to replace my toaster at home. After checking out, I asked if I could leave my car there while I explored the nearby area. The parking attendant was very kind and even joked, ”Of course, even for a day!” I checked out at 9am and they let me leave my car there until 10am. Everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. On the way back, I was with a client's family, and one of the women even took photos for us. Their thoughtfulness was really appreciated. The hot spring bath was spacious, with large changing rooms, a large bathtub, and a large washing area. Since it was with a client, I'm glad I chose such a nice hotel.

Walking distance to Train and bus station. shop next door selling nice food, bento boxes, gifts etc. Good location walking distance just over bridge to supermarket, shops and restaurants. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and tidy room. Enjoyed my stay

This is a great little hotel. It was so unassuming that I was pleasantly surprised by the service, comfort and quality of my stay here. I half expected only an average place, but from the moment I entered the lobby and was greeted by the warmest, friendliest reception, I was totally happy. He quickly checked me in, and upon my enquiry on suitable local restaurants he informed me they have free curry right now, along with bottomless drinks (hot and cold, tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks), it was perfect, just want I needed after a long day. He also helped with parking as their hotel lotcwas full. The room was basic, but it was all clean and worked well, the bed was comfy and shower had good pressure and hot water, heaven. Breakfast the next day was also lovely, a good mix of Asian and western. I was chuffed and would gladly stay here again. Thanks very much for a pleasant stay, lovely food and kind, considerate and professional staff. Cheers 😃

I stayed for one night and was really impressed. All the staff were incredibly helpful and kind, even giving me tips on the local area. 😊 Thanks to them, I had a very comfortable stay. My only minor suggestion would be regarding the loungewear – there's only one free size. As a 178cm, 75kg guy, it felt a bit small. I imagine many international travelers stay here too, so perhaps offering two sizes would be a good idea. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kochi. Thank you! 😊

Great hotel. Super friendly staff. Love the way they use the translator mic and very efficient. The room design is to the “point”. I will defintely recommend it for solo traveller or “medium-built” couple. Bath is ok, resting area is good, unfortunately did not go for breakfast/ dinner. If i m back to Kochin, will stay again.

the hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.

This Hotel is perched on a hillock overlooking the river Niyodo. It has a large social space comprising places to talk with tables and sofas and lounging areas with 3 big bean bags. It also has a Bar lounge replete with 8 types of local sake, red and white wines, Asahi draft beer, green tea, oolong tea, coffee via coffee machine, and tidbits. It is a popular place as it is set near to the way to the Onsen. Onsen has both in and outdoor facilities. The indoor has 3 pools and huge shower area. There is also a hidden jet massage area with 4 Individual seats. Breakfast and the Dinner Kaiseki were fantastic! Room is spacious and well lit.

Very convenient location, just opposite to the JR station. We can have a view of JR station from our room. The restaurant - Rita Shokudo, which is not far from the hotel, is super good. The room is standard Japanese size but the room is good in size for 2 persons. About 10 to 15 mins walk to the main shopping street and food market.
