We had the pleasure of hosting the Kenya Editors Guild’s Annual Convention at Sarova Woodlands, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the experience was flawless, thanks to the remarkable team and outstanding facilities. The hotel manager, Duncan Mwangi, went above and beyond to make us feel special, organizing a red-carpet reception for our delegates, including the Deputy President of Kenya, who graced the event as our chief guest. Duncan’s hands-on approach and constant presence ensured everything ran seamlessly throughout our stay. The Food and Beverage Manager, Donald Shipenzi, curated sumptuous meals that delighted our taste buds every single day. The culinary experience was second to none! A special mention goes to Senior Chef Damaris and her team, whose exquisite dishes were a true highlight. Their attention to detail, creativity, and passion for delivering outstanding meals made every meal a memorable event. A highlight of our stay was a magical sundowner and dinner at Sarova Lionhill within Lake Nakuru National Park. The breathtaking scenery, coupled with impeccable service, made it an unforgettable evening. The rooms at Sarova Woodlands are spacious, impeccably clean, and exude comfort. The entire staff demonstrated unmatched professionalism, warm hospitality, and excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. We highly recommend Sarova Woodlands for any event or getaway. It’s a perfect blend of luxury, efficiency, and outstanding service. Thank you to the entire team for making our convention memorable! We stayed here on the first official night of our Safari. What a high standard for the other camps and lodges to achieve on our Safari. They met or exceeded our every need and expectation. We had two singles and one double room. The double easily would sleep 3 and they provided an electric coffee pot to heat water for my cousin's morning coffee. Loved this place!

Part of our Masai Mara tour bought us to Nakuru, where we stayed for the night. Dinner was a buffet spread with a variety to choose from. Breakfast was fairly basic with a variety on offer. We were packed a picnic lunch by the hotel to see us for our game drive. The rooms were clean, quiet and had everything we needed. We were advised by management to let hot water run for maybe 5 mins to heat, but it was hot fairly quickly. There is a roof top bar overlooking the ranges (if you can be awake for the sunrise you will be amazed at the colors). Overall, we enjoyed our stay :)

Beautiful location about 45 minutes drive from Lake Naivasha. Our room 1063 was in a small block of 4 rooms overlooking the Rift Valley. The room itself was a good size with a large bed, sitting area and a comfortable balcony facing the sunrise. African style interior finishes. The pool area was excellent with plenty of umbrellas, shaded areas under honeysuckle and loungers. The gardens surrounding the site were fabulous. There are three places to eat; upper restaurant, bar and another restaurant some 100 metres away. We were here 6 days and our arrangements were full board, which, unless you have your own transport is the only way to ensure sustenance. There’s buffet or à la carte. Only thing which wasn’t included were drinks (including water). The choices were good and the food plentiful. Soups especially good as were the choices of Indian inspired cuisine. You won’t be disappointed. Activities include a good 18 hole golf course, pool, guided nature walks, star gazing and visits to the lake and Elsamere. Of special mention are the staff, who were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always jolly and smiling.

After Sarova Woodlands This was our first stay at another Sarova Hotel. 1. Food is ample,feels fresh, and its diverse. 2. Rooms are clean, simple, and the views whether its day or night they breathtaking. 3. The staff is super friendly, and proffessional Points to Note: 1. Entrance to the main Park Gate ends at 06:00PM. So to avoid long stays at the Park Entrance always get there before then. 2. Depending on your package always ask for all available services. This includes access to the Sauna, Swimming Pool, and available Massages. Definately coming back many more times!!

My Italian clients were really pleased with their stay at the Rock Hyrax Hotel. As it is a very superb hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Nakuru, including the national Park. The staff are very good, welcoming, very friendly and helpful to mention a few, Grace and CateSharon. Excellent place to stay. Rooms were very clean and beds was very comfortable. Delicious dinner and breakfast as well. Great value hotel and highly recommend.
