Amaya hills Kandy located within scenic mountain ranges in the heritage charm of the kingdom of Kandy.The Amaya Hills Kandy has the architecture and charm and culture of the city of Kandy ruled by the last Sinhalese king Sri Vikrama Rajasinha (1780-1832) till 1815 when the British deposed him and was succeeded by Gerrge III after holding out against colonial powers the Dutch and the Portugese The Amaya Hills reception has a Statue of the last king at the reception which is a huge open and deep balcony offering nearly 300 degrees of splendid views of the mountains The hotel is complete with swimming pool and the breakfast and dinner we had were splendid and had many authentic Sinhalese dishes.. The rooms are open to a balcony and it is a treat to have tea viewing the magnificent mountains.. The level of hospitality matches the famed Celonese hospitality and will be remembered for long and a must experience in Sri Lanka visit..

Staff were wonderful, so helpful and took time to help me plan a full day as I only had one day in Kandy. They also gave me suggestions for my trip after Kandy also. The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touch…much appreciated! Would totally recommend!

We usually stay in chain hotels but based on reviews decided to stay here for a change and felt it was a mistake. Stayed for two nights and had very inconsistent experience. The location is bit away from city and next to tea plantation. The last 150M road is in bad shape. The check-in was fine. We had booked room with double bed, but the one we got had extra bed and no space to move around. We asked them to remove and they said they will do it tomorrow, that tomorrow never came. The Balcony was facing roof of another house blocking the view. We asked if we can get something with better view, the answer was again ”tomorrow”, which never came. What we liked was taking walk in tree plantations in the evening as those were next door. The listing mentioned tea/coffee maker in the room and also Air conditioning which was missing. while we didn't require it, there was a heater. When we asked for tea/ coffee maker, first it was refused, but after pointing out that they have it in their listing, they served tea, Had to follow up even for Water Bottles which were supposed to be provided daily. The food was good. You need to pre-order and they make it, not everything is available every day so be ready to make adjustments there too. The shower is nightmare, pressure was inconsistent and water will suddenly get cold and suddenly too hot. Not sure if this was based on someone else using shower at the same time. Overall based on our habits of staying at Chain Hotels, we will prefer to not opt for such options in future.

The hotel is located around 10 minutes from the famous Sigiriya citadel. The hotel’s pool and the main lobby area including the bar overlook the sigiriya citadel (Sigiriya rock), making it one of the best views of the famous rock. Further the hotel is surrounded by lush greenery. Hotel staff are professional and also “extremely” friendly. They are a “true example of island’s hospitality”. The pool and the bar area are the best places to relax. Room service, laundry service and reception were really responsive and always available. Hotel rooms are of single category but some rooms need more attention in maintaining, especially the room that was given (Room 41). The room looked kind of rundown. Yet, house keeping was commendable. Same time, food menu, and the restaurant should be improved as breakfast was almost same every morning, “french toast” was not really “french toast” at all and there was no refilling of certain food items (especially cut fruits) for late risers.

We stayed at the Sharron Inn for four nights . My wife and I are from Australia. The accommodation and our stay was very comfortable with the staff and management fulfilling all our needs.The Breakfast was good and the Dinner exceptional. We were even entrained each night by the management that had a great ending to each day.Thank you Sharron Inn for your hospitality we will be back.

One of the best hotels I lived in Sri Lanka, running by a local family. They are very nice and hospitable and even provided very delicious local breakfast with wild honey and welcome coconut water. The room was a quite big with high ceiling, clean and all the stuffs were available. The hotel is in the closest location to climb the rock mountain called Pidurangala to view panorama view of Sigiri and sunrise and sunset and very close to Sigiri Lion Rock as well. The hotel can provide car and jeep services. Jeep safari to see a herd and other wild animals were quite an experience to feel the wilderness and nature. This hotel is 100% recommended when you are in Sigiriya. If you need a car service for city to city travel, here is the service provider, called Danu and his contact number is (0774) 642 805. He is a nice and humble guy with certified local guide. We got his service from Sigiriya to Kandy to Yalla to Colombo, the trip went very smooth and we are happy that we covered all the attractions places with his assistance. Highly recommended!!

This was the second time I visited Heritance Kandalama and it was better than the last stay especially I would like to mention the Guest Relations Executive Miss. Yoshina for taking care of our family and fulfilling all our needs with all the needed information with her efficient style and making the stay comfortable also big shoutout to the chefs food was beyond amazing and the restaurant staff was very active as well and also the suite was amazing with all the amenities that should be there in a room overall a 10/10 experience and a must visit place in Sri Lanka ♥️

This is the best place in Sigiriya! :) we stayed here for two nights and it had been one if our favourite places in Sri Lanka. We loved EVERYTHING about this place. Everyone should come here! Mori our host is the kindest sweetest man. He never stops making sure you are happy. the food (made by his lovely wife) is INCREDIBLE!!! The most wonderful home cooked Sri Lanka food. absolutely delicious and giant portions…they just want to make you happy they’re such a nice family! The bed was very comfortable, cute place with a nice hot shower and the gardens around the place are beautiful. Mori is also an experienced senior guide of 30 years and knows everything about Sigiriya Rock and the area. He can give you a guided tour if you want (doesn’t pressure at all though he’s so nice). we climbed both Sigiriya and Pidurangala with him and it was really worth it! we got so much more out of it that way. The place is an amazing value - Just book it now! you won’t regret it :)
