I am on the tail end of an 18-night stay at the Lakhey Hotel in Kathmandu, and I can honestly say that it has been WONDERFUL. I've gotten to know many of the staff, and they all are warm, friendly, and gracious. The hotel has only been open for a couple of months, and it is spotlessly clean, kept that way in part by one of the hardest working housekeepers, Sumitra, that I have ever seen. The staff head, Rajesh, and his assistants, Raj Kumar and Ram, who also multitask with cooking, greet me every morning with a warm welcoming. They all will make you feel like you are part of their family. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, off a busy street, and conveniently located near the touristy Thamel area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, rather upscale, but very economical. The hotel does not have a restaurant but provides a GREAT breakfast that is way beyond what they call a ”continental breakfast” that one would get in America. Freshly cooked to each guest, it includes eggs however you like them (I loved the omelet!), freshly cut fruit, veggies, potatoes, toast with butter & jam, juice, & coffee or tea. And there is a restaurant right next door for other meals. I had never stayed at the Lakhey Hotel before, but I can highly recommend it, and I will surely return in the future. Enjoy your stay ... you won't regret it!!!

Works for one night right at the airport. I had flown from London and needed a place to stay at Katmandu Airport until a flight out next morning from the domestic terminal to Lukla. Definitely would recommend as it met my basic needs of being clean, safe, affordable and on airport grounds. They offered an early morning breakfast, but I was not able to take advantage of it because of an early morning flight. Oddly designed glass-enclosed bathroom in the room. Works for one person but could be weird if you're a couple and weirder if you're not related! There's also a step up to get into the bathroom. Restaurants and coffee shops a few doors down past the hotel. 2-minute walk from the international terminal once you exit. Go past all of the taxi people, across the parking lot and that's your hotel building. I walked to the domestic terminal for a very early morning flight, and that took about 10 minutes to get to the terminal. I didn't see any sign of a shuttle bus, but apparently there is one. Efficient check in staff and there is a restaurant in the hotel.

Wonderful experience, great location and professional staff The Magnificent Hotel is an outstanding value for money. It is in great location, within walking distance of Asan Bazar, Durbar Square and the lively streets in the Thamel district. The hotel is on a safe street with restaurants, grocery store and even security agents. The hotel is clean and in good condition. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is comfortable, relaxing and breezing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All communication for reservations or special request was perfect. However, what truly made the difference was the professional and caring staff. All were helpful, spoke multiple languages and proactive in providing help. One example is Kritika, who was absolutely exceptional, with a consistent positive attitude. She helped to explain the local riding sharing App inDrive. She helped me with the local cellphone provider Ncell. Help arranged laundry service and other useful information. Also Rajesh, the bar man was helpful to suggest local dishes. More importantly he was kind and interesting to discuss with. Finally, Ganga the manager was absolutely exceptional to ensure all was well organized and inspiring his staff. I had the occasion to speak with him many times and it was very enjoyable. We stayed in a Deluxe Family Suite room with two separate rooms, good air conditioning and shower and comfortable bed. Highly recommended

New Hotel with Great Roof Top View, needs to improve. Room is nice, smells new, however bed sheet is completely new , itchy , it’s like just bought and not washed , direct to the bed or been there dusty for long time. Towel is dirty white, not convenient. Water is totally disappointed, Color yellow, un-filtered and smells. Need proper filtration. Massage, all is new, bed is sounding haha , no music , no aroma for 8k local currency, 1 hour, masseuse was good. Food some are great, some are tough. View is the best for this hotel, but they open only afternoon to 10.. if you are sunrise person , this hotel is not for you. Sun set was great. Staffs are friendly, however next visit should be more thoughtful on guiding guests, where is elevator, what are facilities and hotel can offer. Breakfast was fair, price is recommendable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel during my trip to kathmandu. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the impeccable service and the luxurious ambiance of the hotel. Room, location, service,food,breakfast,staff and name what you can and you will not find a fault or spot. Mind boggling is the world. Keep it up, Pramod is amazingly helpful, Vishal, Govinda at restaurant are amazing, Tansuhang at front office was more than helpful. House keeping is spot less. Well Done !

Stayed for a few days, looks like this hotel just had a renovation ( everything) is new and clean The staff was very help full and friendly The room which i stayed in was perfectly clean and new bedsheets and towels were provided it also had a balcony;) City centre is like 35 min walking and by car/bike 10min. Will definitely book this hotel again when i visit Kathmandu.

Very friendly service at front desk. The best feature of this hotel is the lovely well maintained tranquil garden situated in the center of the building. It was a pleasure to sip a capuccino from the cafe situated next to the garden. Unbelievable for us having not visited Kathmandu in 20 years the arrival of good coffee A very short and interesting walk takes you to the bustle and noise of the Stupa. The room was adequate but like many rooms at this price point the only place to sit was on the bed. Our room had A/C but fortunately did not need it. The bathroom was clean but hot water only came intermittently during our stay. Management were helpful and always tried to fix the problem. Wifi likewise was a bit hit and miss. Sheets were were on the thin side but typical of hotels at this price point in Asia. Overall would recommend.

We stayed here 3 times as we travelled back and forth in Nepal, passing through Kathmandu. An excellent hotel and we managed to negotiate a good deal. The staff are very friendly and cooperative - just tell the chef what you want and he'll go and buy it in the local market. Comfortable beds and hot showers.

아침에 호텔 옥상에서 스투파를 바라보며 아침식사를 하고 날씨가 좋은 날엔 히말라야 봉우리들도 보이는 멋진 뷰를 가진 호텔입니다. 스투파 바로앞. 걸어서 30초 위치가 아주 좋아 새벽에 일어나 스투파를 돌며 기도하는 행렬에 참여하는것도 좋은 추억입니다. 호텔 서비스가 바로바로 해결해주고 메니저가 한국에서 일했던 경험이 있는 분이라 한국어에 능통하셔서 더 편하게 묵을수 있었어요. 네팔은 에어컨 있는방이 많지않으니 예약시 확인해보세요. 전 에어컨 있는 방에서 6일 묵었는데 아주 편했어요. 거실도 있고 욕실도 넓어서 자그만 아파트에 묵는 느낌이었습니다. 저렴한 가격에 편리한 써비스 좋은 위치. 아침도 포함한 아주 괜찮은 숙소였어요

One of the best bang of buck hotels in boudha area, kathamndu. The receptionist was very nice to give me free upgrade to superior room. Room was very clean spacious and breakfast was good as well. Highly recommended

Life is about the good people you meet along the way, The Boudha Inn family took me in, provided a hospitality above and beyond, a great place to hang my hat. The inn has comfortable accommodations, banana pancakes to die for, I did yoga on the roof and is close to everything I enjoy about Katmandu. The community leader superhero owner may need your patience, he and family are there for you, embrace your reality...smile and practice kindness. Soulful stay in Boudha Stupa

This hotel is fantastic. It is clean, accommodating, and in a great location. It is within a 2 minute walk from the Boudha Stupa (the area where they shot some clips for Marvel's Dr. Strange). Because of that you will find lots of restaurants, shops, and coffee houses (try the Himalayan Java Restaurant). But the best part of the trip was interacting with the hotel owners. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were quick with a nice cup of tea or coffee and enjoyed making conversation. I learned a great deal about Nepal from them! Several times they arranged taxi's for us, being willing to communicate with the taxi drivers. The breakfast was delicious (eggs, toast, potatoes, fruit, and beans). I don't know why anyone would stay anywhere else when visiting Kathmandu!

I twisted my ankle on my way to this hotel, and the hotel manager was very nice to provide a wheelchair upon arrival and pushed me himself. All in all, our room was very clean and got an amazing view.

Was able to make a video. Cannot post that one on Trip app. For this trip to Nepal, I had a driver scheduled ahead of time to make the drive up there in the dark easier. Pay extra if they stay or go down. No need to leave the property, but lovely locals in both road directions. It seems lots of people take their motorbikes up. There’s even college students and bus groups. Some vacant and less expensive hostels, but this location has everything needed. I think it’s a good night or two to stay. I arrived dinner and stayed two nights. All employees wonderful. Binod said Hotel can help arrange driver, but the bus also comes up. Sunrise depends on fog. Good either way.

I think it was an alright stay overall. the rooms were quite nice. just know there are no elevators. but I think the 6th floor (terrace) is the highest (and the ground-ish floor is a level 3). Breakfast buffet was good too, service was nice. The view of the sunrise and sunset can be abit obscured by clouds at time but still a nice view in its own right.. overall quite satisfied :)

This was a very good hotel with a touch of antiquity. The rooms were very spacious with all the necessities. The hotel decor was good and the external appearance had a heritage look. We were received, checked-in and the bags etc. transferred to our rooms very quickly. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The Reception area had a warm and friendly look with a show case full of books on the side. The food was excellent and tasty. A wide array of items were offered in the dinner and breakfast buffets. The service was efficient and excellent. Weather permitting. it has an excellent view of the Sunrise. You can sip a cup of tea, relax on chairs provided on the balcony, while you experience the splendor of the sunrise. All in all, a wonderful, heart warming and restful experience in this hotel.

Customer service was satisfactory but rooms were not clean. Had a strange smell. Bed sheet and blankets were smelly too. I recommend you to please change bed sheets and blanket sheet after each use and keep a room freshener spray inside. Morning view from the hotel was absolutely amazing.

Good mountains view for early morning, must visit in Nepal is a hidden gem of a place gets a real cold here. The tourist mostly skip nagarkot but it's. Ot a place to be missing by the way. Must visit

Visit Everest Manla Resort and you will find a significant percentage of the clientele gripped by nature and luxury. Luxury lies in the eye of the beholder. At the Everest Manla Resort, Nagarkot located in Nepal, it whispers rather than screams. From chic bed-and-breakfasts to sprawling modern luxuries, this resort is a notable bright spot in a city filled with stars. It’s pretty basic but that’s reflected in the price, the staff are great and it’s a beautiful location. Rooms were clean but not heated but we were warm enough with the duvets and the bar and restaurant is good. The courtyard offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains and forest. The only negative was that the shower was poor with terrible water pressure – but then it is up a mountain so couldn’t really complain. Despite that, I’d be more than happy to stay here again. There’s not a huge amount to do in Nargakot apart from admire the views and go for walks. With a young family, trekking wasn’t an option, but we did do the nature trail which was relatively easy going and took about an hour and a half (with a stop off for a beer and a Coke). Trail starts at the bottom of the hill, just before the school. When you get to the road at the end of the forest section, turn right and it will bring you back to the hotel.

A little away from centrum / busstop but 5 min easy to walk. Nice walkingtracs overhere.Quiet. Clean. Nice family. Very good food. Beter than average overhere. And the know about vegan. Close to nice walking area. Good choice to stay here!!!
