Hotel Dengan Parking di Western Area, Sierra Leone

I spent the weekend at the Hotel and checked out 5 hours. When I arrived at my destination I noticed I had forgotten 2000 new leones under my mattress. I called the Hotel and was informed by the Reception staff that the housekeeping staff had cleaned the room and found nothing. I was staying at room 127 and I believe the housekeeping staff found my money. I believe whichever staff was assigned to clean the room should be investigated. Intact, I had to call the receptionist 3 times before they could answer my calls as they kept dropping the calls. They are aware and I would take action if the Hotel fails to take action. I have been staying at this Hotel for about 5 years and believe the staff are putting the Reputation of Radisson Blu at stake.

The hotel manager Ahmed was very helpful and tried to resolve most of my concerns. The apartment are not to standard at all. Thanks to Ahmed and the hotel staff that helped moved me from the apartment building to the main hotel. The food is good.

The hotel was alright in general. However, some of the staff do need re-training or discipline. When we were checking out early in the morning, the male receptionist claimed we owed the hotel more 1000 dollars for food, which we never had. When we told him that, he just backed out, saying we didn't have to pay.

The bedding are very old and toiled is stained as per pictures. Checking in was very hectic it took me 2 hours for them to locate my reservation from trip. Com

Secondly, I was upgraded to a larger room with a kitchen, washer, and dryer inside the room at no cost because the hotel was crowded. (That has nothing to do with the review.) The room was very clean and up to my standards. The hotel has day and night security guards.” ”The Staff - I reached out to the hotel a few weeks before I arrived in Freetown concerning transportation to the hotel, and the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. They provided transportation from the Sea-coach Docks. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive to my schedule, and regardless of what time I left, the room was pristine clean when I got back. The front desk staff and the managing partner or owner were all very friendly and went above and beyond to address any questions I had.” ”The Pool - Loved the pool. I was there every single day, basking in the sun. The pool boy was there every single day cleaning the pool. It’s the closest thing to an infinity pool.” ”Restaurant - Now, this I think can be improved a little. Not so much the restaurant itself, but the menu. The whole menu was western food (burgers, pizza, etc.). When you are in Sierra Leone, you might want some of the local staple food. Have some local dishes on the menu as well for those of us who are curious about the local cuisines.”

The  staff were very professional, friendly and hospitable from the cleaners, restaurant staff, security personnel and reception staff. The food was excellent and the breakfast sumptuous.
