Hotel Dengan Pools di Jiangsu, China

This families room was facing garden. Really big oriental Chinese decorated garden. The environment was really peaceful, great buffet breakfast, full bathroom set-up. Planning to come back again and sincerely hope the hotel management could upgrade the washing machines and clothes dryers. We met one of the Hong Kong guests and noticed this was not the first time she checked into this hotel, she told us that the dryer isn't in good conditions since last year. Clothes were wet still after hours of spinning drying. There were long queue in the laundry room even though it was just in March, none festive season.

Yangzhou State Guesthouse is located within a sprawling area where many of the facilities are within walking distance. It is like staying in a holiday resort. You can either walk to the different facilities or take the buggy provided. The Slender West Lake (瘦西湖） is just beside the Guesthouse and is definitely worth a visit both during the day and in the evening. A bit too hot to visit in the summer, but it will be nice during spring and/or autumn.

What we liked about the place: - Convenient location; surrounded by happening commercial area and near local attractions - Great service overall - Room design and space was amazing considering the price What were meh: - Really poor soundproofing; could hear lots of loud noises and conversations from outside directly in the room; woke us up a couple times - AC system took a while to figure out, feels like there’s a lag - Because the hotel is in a commercial building itself, most rooms do not get a window; however, how they’ve mitigated this is by having artificial internal windows with a bright mini-garden view which I suppose was a relatively good fix. But can feel a little “tight” Important: The hotel is at the 4th floor of a commercial building, and is a short walk in from the Didi/car drop point. Do not be confused with another “Humble Hotel” opposite the Mercure hotel, contact the hotel for directions.

Best location if you wanted to visit Slender Lake as the entrance is just across the road. There are restaurants to the left of the resort as well if opting to dine out. The resort is quite big, with separate buildings housing different types of rooms. Well catered for families with kids. We got the room with a hot spring inside so we didn’t visit the public one.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is located right in the city center, making it very convenient to get around. There is a shopping mall directly connected to the hotel, so finding food and dining options was very easy. The hotel is very family-friendly. We stayed on the top floor, and the view was absolutely amazing — we could see both the sea and the mountains. Our child loved it so much. However, for guests who are afraid of heights like my husband, this might not be the best choice, as it is probably the tallest building in the city. Although the hotel looks like it has been open for many years from the outside, the interior still feels modern, clean, and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, and the facilities are very convenient. Breakfast offered a good variety of international options. Overall, we had a great experience and were very impressed with our stay.

The room is nice and clean. I request for a high floor room during check in and they arrange for my room to be on 61 Floor and the night view is amazing. Thank you 😀😍 It is a pity i did not manage to take the photo of day view as it is foggy when i wake up the next morning. The location is super convenient. There are many restaurants and shopping mall nearby, within 5 to 10 mins walk.

We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary room upgrade. The check-in and check-out procedures were smooth with many staff attending to your every needs. They were all very helpful and professional. The hotel is a bit dated but otherwise well maintained. We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay. Location-wise, the hotel is connected to Xinjiekou station and near to many tourist attractions. Breakfast buffet spread was sumptuous with both Chinese and Western varieties with egg station, noodle station and a variety of beverages. Although a large hotel, breakfast never felt crowded and most mornings I was able to enjoy long and slow breakfast. Highly recommended. 

The water pressure in the shower is strong and very pleasant, and facilities are excellent. It would be great if the variety of meals could be further enriched. Special thanks to Hendery for the room arrangements and the unique hospitality! Looking forward to the next visit!

Our stay at the Yihe Garden hotel was an absolute dream. It’s a peaceful oasis of classic beauty tucked away in the city. The architecture and landscaped gardens are stunning, making you feel like you've stepped back into a more elegant time. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully decorated. The staff were exceptionally attentive and gracious. It was the perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort—a truly unforgettable experience.
