The hotel is very new, with all the facilities in prime condition. The decor is aesthetically pleasing, making both the public areas and the rooms very comfortable and exceptionally well-designed.
The lobby bar is also great, offering a very relaxing atmosphere, and there's a wide selection of welcome drinks.
Breakfast is good too, featuring local specialties and offering excellent value for money.
The service is also top-notch; Suzhou truly excels in this regard.
Definitely a hotel worth revisiting!

GGuest UserThe hotel package I booked this time offered exceptional value for money, packed with great perks like tickets to the Panmen Scenic Area, afternoon tea, and more—all of which were fantastic.
Additionally, the hotel's design resembles an ancient palace and city wall, complete with its own Jiangnan-style classical gardens. It harmonizes beautifully with the adjacent Panmen Scenic Area just over the wall, giving it a truly unique charm.
Breakfast was another highlight that deserves praise; both the Chinese and Western spreads were rich and plentiful.
Overall, it was a thoroughly delightful stay.

GGuest UserI was on a business trip and randomly picked this homestay nearby, not expecting much given the price. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got in! The room wasn't huge, but it was fully equipped with everything I needed. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was a coffee table and sofa, which was really convenient for working. The staff were very thoughtful and even sent up two extra bottles of mineral water. They specifically told me the front desk was available 24/7, which was great. Breakfast was also quite rich. For this price, to get an experience like this, I'm really satisfied. I might even bring my kids here for a holiday sometime!

The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Shantang Street, which makes it very convenient for shopping, sightseeing and exploring the area on foot. However, there is an important drawback: cars cannot reach the hotel directly. You will need to drag your luggage for several hundred metres along a rocky path to get there.
To reach the hotel, you also have to walk through its front shop, which functions partly as a silk shop and museum. During peak hours, this area can get extremely crowded and hectic, making it quite difficult to navigate with luggage. This can be particularly inconvenient for families with young children or those travelling with large or multiple suitcases.
**Room:**
The room was relatively clean and spacious, with a bathtub. However, the view was disappointing as our room faced a 民宿/local residential buildings rather than the river. The room came with basic amenities.
**Service:**
The front desk staff, Xin, Summer and Xiao Ma, were helpful and friendly. Fish food was provided for the kids to feed the koi while we waited for check-in, which was a nice touch. The staff also helped carry our luggage to our room and, during check-out, helped bring our luggage to the designated pick-up point where our driver could meet us.
**Breakfast:**
Breakfast was a set meal consisting of noodles with bamboo shoots and meat, a hard-boiled egg, corn, pickles and grapes. It was very simple and, honestly, not very tasty. We ended up leaving most of it untouched.
**Add-ons / Extras:**
Apparently, the minibar is complimentary, but this was not mentioned to us during check-in. Some snacks also appeared to be provided for free, although again, we were not informed about this. We also did not receive the welcome fruit mentioned on the booking website.
There is a complimentary 30-minute photoshoot that includes three free photos, with the option to purchase additional photos. Unfortunately, our experience with the photoshoot was very disappointing. The photographer appeared inexperienced and struggled to find flattering angles. Many of the photos were overexposed or captured awkward facial expressions. We were quite surprised by the overall quality of the photos.
**Overall:**
The hotel's biggest advantage is definitely its location — being right on Shantang Street makes sightseeing extremely convenient. The staff were also helpful and accommodating. However, the difficult luggage access, crowded entrance, disappointing breakfast and poor-quality photoshoot were significant drawbacks, especially for families travelling with young children and large luggage.

XXiaoji LilyLast May Day, we visited the Club Med in Taicang, and the GOs recommended the newly opened Club Med in Nanjing. This summer, I brought my child here for a weekend (three days, two nights) during the school holidays, and the experience was fantastic, definitely a full five-star rating!
**Accommodation:** The rooms were clean and tidy, and the housekeeping was meticulous. The cleaning staff were very friendly and patient, always refilling our drinking water. The resort grounds are spacious and comfortable, with excellent natural surroundings. You can overlook the lake from the balcony, offering a wide and open view.
**Activities:** There are plenty of facilities for play, both indoors and outdoors. We happened to be here during a heatwave, so we mostly opted for indoor activities. The indoor sports area includes basketball, badminton, table tennis, billiards, and rock climbing, as well as a 'parkour' area (similar to an adventure course) that my child loved, which we visited for two consecutive days. You can also book KTV sessions. When it's hot, you can also sit at the U Bar and play cards, which is very relaxing. Outdoor activities are also abundant. You can cross a bridge to 'Explore Park,' where you can try archery, kayaking, windsurfing, or even the 'flying trapeze.' However, the flying trapeze requires training, and you need to be able to hang from a bar with both hands for at least ten counts. Neither of us had that much grip strength (we could only manage up to five), so we just watched other 'experts' try it. Kayaking was quite nice; the lake water was clear, and there were little ducks swimming around. It's best to go in the late afternoon, around 5-6 pm, to avoid the intense sun for a better experience. My sister and I kayaked together, and circling the large lake wasn't tiring at all. It's suitable for mothers or older children with moderate physical fitness.
**Service:** The butler service was online throughout our stay, with quick responses and smooth communication. Whether it was booking activities or requesting supplies, they responded and handled everything promptly. When we wanted a clothes drying rack for our swimwear on the balcony after swimming, it was provided very quickly, which was incredibly thoughtful and professional. Being peak summer holiday season, the restaurant entrance traffic was also managed efficiently; just stating your room number allowed for quick entry, which was very user-friendly.
Here, you can shed your fatigue and quietly enjoy your holiday. I'm already planning to come back when the weather isn't so scorching (the 'furnace city' reputation is certainly well-deserved).
**Two additional points:** There's an external food delivery pick-up point near the entrance, which is very convenient. I also loved the hotel's lighting fixtures; they were very artistic.

AAnonymous UserThis was my second stay here, and it's definitely one of the best hotels I've experienced in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region, both in terms of hardware and software. The location is excellent, right in Suzhou's old town, very close to the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, making it convenient to get around.
I highly recommend their courtyard rooms. Each has a small garden at the front and back, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of a classical garden without even leaving your room. Especially with the recent frequent rain, sitting in the courtyard and admiring the garden in the rain often creates a beautiful ambiance.
The hotel restaurant has a Black Pearl One Diamond rating in Suzhou, and the food is truly outstanding. Enjoying the breakfast buffet in the morning is pure bliss! They must have an excellent pastry chef because the Western pastries at breakfast are incredibly rich and truly stand out. Their Suzhou-style dim sum is also just as good as what you'd find in famous old shops outside, saving you the trouble of searching for good food. You can be very satisfied with your meals right here at the hotel. 😁
This time, I'm especially grateful to our butler, Vickey. She's the warmest and most helpful butler I've ever encountered at a hotel, providing a lot of assistance and genuinely solving problems. The service at this hotel is truly excellent, making the entire stay very comfortable. I'll definitely be back! 😘

GGuest UserIncredible! This residence is magnificent. The location is perfect! A haven of peace and quiet right next to the lively canals. Everything is charming and delicate. The room decor, the tea amenities, the shower facilities, and the bedding are all incredible. The undeniable highlight is the incredibly serene pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after enchanting strolls through the old town. Go there without hesitation!

ZzjycdaThe hotel is ideally located in the downtown shopping district, making getting around extremely convenient. To get to Huishan Ancient Town and Nanchang Street, there are bus stops just across the street, which are even more convenient than the metro when there’s no traffic. Donglin Academy is also within walking distance. The property is well-maintained and the swimming pool includes a hot tub—overall, a great choice for a relaxing getaway.

GGuest UserWhen we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!
