I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable. The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special. This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time. The hotel is an architectural marvel—beautifully designed and truly memorable. Service overall was excellent, with attentive and helpful staff throughout the property. Our room was comfortable, and the stay started off promising, but there were a few letdowns. Restaurant service was slow, with dishes arriving out of order, and the food felt overpriced for the quality. Most disappointing was being denied access to the swimming pool—the lifeguard wouldn’t allow us in, saying it was too cold to swim.

We stayed 3 nights at a river view room which was clean and well appointed. The service was excellent, they serviced our room and helped me print out a visa. The location next to the river is quiet and relaxing to see the boats go by. Breakfast was understaffed, since they rapidly ran out of food, plates, cups and couldn't cook or re-fill food and drinks. So go early for breakfast. It takes a long time for didi car to drive up to the hotel. Be sure to choose a route that avoids the traffic bottlenecks.

A wonderfully appointed hotel, with incredible views, large modern rooms, and all the facilities you expect from a quality hotel. However, the staff, made my stay exceptional. Friendly staff, who work well together and go the extra-mile for their guests, are a sign of excellent management. I want to especially commend and acknowledge Kenny for making my stay so special. His English skills were a godsend, and supported by Alex, Kenny helped with advice on where to visit, dining options, and how to download and use Didi. The night team even organised late night food delivery for me, as I arrived very late, and in-house options had closed. I highly recommend Papman Hotel. Kunming was my first destination on a multi city visit to China, and Papman Hotel, and the wonderful clean friendly modern city of Kunming, has made me a big fan. I will definitely be back. Thank you again to all the team of Papman Kunming. You were so all very polished and professional. Keep up the great work. Thanks again Kenny, you have a bright future ahead of you!

This hotel is more of an Airbnb style where after you check in they bring you to your private apartment which is awesome. We got a free upgrade and had a massive room with a living area, seperate kitchen, two full bathrooms, and 4 seperate bedrooms with cozy beds. We also had a massive balcony with amazing views of the Jinhong area that were stunning during the day and especially at night (see attached photos). The staff were also super helpful and really responsive in terms of helping us with questions and recommending delicious local restaurants that were off the beaten path. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are with a group of friends or a larger party. It’s clean and super great value.

Incredible hotel experience, The design , the service and the food, everything was 10/10. The private courtyard and butler service made me feel so special. The hidden gem is the schedule of daily free activities and strolling through gardens to see elegant black swans and adorable friendly sheep! It’s an experience you can’t get anywhere else. It totally made my trip.

這次入住體驗真的超出預期！在這過的除夕 住下根本不想走，索性連住三天 周邊還可以爬個小山⛰️，風景宜人，地理位置也方便，性價比超高 房間也打掃得特別乾淨，沒有異味，床軟硬適中，隔音效果也不錯。工作人員態度友好，有求必應，細節做得很到位。住得很舒心，是一次很棒的入住體驗！ 重點是要誇誇攝影師阿文 拍的非常好 出片妥妥的，下次還來哈哈哈哈😄

This is considered quite a premium hotel in the area. It’s very family friendly - the pool seems popular, though if your window faces the ‘inside’ of the hotel you’ll hear lots of noise from it. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and quite new. A good place overall, if a little loud. In all honesty, if you’re a foreign person reading this who can afford to travel to China, I recommend avoiding Xishuangbanna. It’s a very tacky tourist trap of an area. Mostly populated by northern Chinese who have travelled down to hawk cheap and tasteless tourist experiences. Nothing worth seeing, even in the local parks. And everyone smokes here, it’s a little suffocating. I strongly recommend visiting elsewhere in Yunnan province such as Kunming or Dali - nothing to see here.

The air conditioner vent in the room we were given was broken. Only a small amount of air was coming through the small vent, which made the room hot. We called to request a room change on the first night, but instead, they provided us with an electric fan to solve the problem. However, when we called Trip.com again on the last night, the hotel quickly resolved the issue by changing and upgrading our room. In summary, out of a three-night stay, we had to endure the heat for two nights

The stay experience at Jiangye Hotel was absolutely perfect! The front desk staff were warm and attentive throughout the entire process, handling check-in efficiently and even taking the initiative to share travel tips for Kunming. The room hygiene was impeccable — spotlessly clean with soft bedding, making our stay extremely comfortable and pleasant!
