Hotel Dengan Pools di Gunma Prefecture, Japan

The hotel is a traditional hot spring resort, not too old. The rooms in the Western-style tower are reasonably sized, but the toilets are rather small and the toilet seat is quite close to the wall, which is a bit cramped. The hot spring has two outdoor pools and two indoor pools, all of which are quite large. There is plenty of free parking, and a shuttle bus runs to and from the hot spring area, taking about ten minutes.

The hotel is a bit of a drive from Karuizawa JR Station, about 35 minutes, and there's a toll fee. However, the scenery along the way is beautiful. Shiraito Falls is about 10 minutes away. The hotel parking lot is ample and very convenient. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hot springs are both indoor and outdoor, with an orange-brown color and a mild odor. Unfortunately, the outdoor hot springs don't allow for a view of the sky. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of options and are delicious. This hotel has a very resort-like feel and I'd definitely return if I had the chance. All staffs are very good. I could feel they were hard working in order to provide their best service. Saha running around every-time when we needed assistance or some information but limited English from other staffs. Dinner and breakfast are not premium but worth for what we paid. Walking distance to everywhere in this little town.

Driving is more convenient, as there are many famous local delicacies nearby, but be aware of their opening hours. The Ikaho Onsen stone steps, with over a hundred steps, require courage and stamina to climb and return to the starting point. You'll understand what it means to go through hell and back again; once you complete it, you've unlocked a life achievement!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Breakfast was good, but what was really great was the dinner. There are big strawberries. There was unlimited sweetness to eat. It was really great. On the first day of our stay, there was no snow at all. But on the second day, after traveling to the ski resort, when we returned to the hotel, we found snow in front of the hotel and inside the hotel, maybe 1 foot high. Very beautiful, impressive. The first day of showering was outdoors and the atmosphere was very refreshing. Think about soaking in warm mineral water in an atmosphere of 0 degrees. On the second day, you can take an indoor shower because the weather is minus 3 degrees, so it's better to take a shower indoors. The staff took very good care of us, like close relatives. Ask anything, I can answer it all. Recommend only good things The waiters were very attentive. In conclusion, I got a full score for this trip.

After completing the check-in procedures in the lobby, the waiter will bring a translation machine to introduce the hotel facilities, but the waiter who came to serve seemed a little impatient and in a hurry. The room is big, clean, spacious and comfortable, with 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. The large bath has an open-air hot spring, the locker room has a massage chair, and there is a water machine and popsicles outside the locker room, so you can enjoy it after taking a bath. The breakfast and dinner buffets are average, but the Kaiseki cuisine is good. If you want to upgrade to Kaiseki cuisine, you need to email/call the hotel. There are Yumomi and Taiko performances in the evening, and the audience can also participate in Yumomi.

I liked the hot springs and the view overlooking the river from my room, so it was my second stay. There are two large communal baths, １ floor and ２ floor, so you can enter slowly without getting crowded. The room was large in a Japanese-style room with a bed and comfortable with a bath and toilet. However, I was worried that the flow of the toilet was weak. Overall, I think the breakfast is delicious and this price is cheap. It is a recommended inn for relay accommodation because it is close to Tomioka silk mill and Karuizawa is also close by 20 minutes by car.

I arrived late at 5pm and was disappointed that the dinner time was scheduled to be late at 7:30. However, the buffet food was delicious. It is better to use disposable indoor slippers.

The staff are kind and courteous, the room is clean, the dinner and breakfast are very good, especially the tofu pot for breakfast. The outdoor hot spring is a bit small, but the heat is moderate
