We loved the ambience and overall cleanliness of the hotel. The onsite restaurant offers excellent food and attentive service. Although the listing mentions a pool, we didn’t notice one during our stay. A sauna would be a nice addition to the gym. We truly hope the hotel can maintain its pristine standards — special kudos to the female staff member we saw meticulously cleaning the front exterior, brushing fallen leaves and even the red carpet.
Breakfast was enjoyable but could be improved with a wider selection of protein or meat dishes. One small surprise was the charge for additional bottled water; had we known, we would have simply purchased water from the minibar.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again, especially as the surrounding area is noticeably cleaner and quieter than the Registan area.
The service and location were great. In terms of the hotel room itself, it was okay, but not great. The bathroom was very hot, and it seemed the AC didn't reach there. To make a queen bed, they pushed two twins together, and there is a strange and hard divet in the middle of the bed that hurt my back when I woke up. I appreciated the baths and sauna, but they could've been cleaner.
What I took issue with was the random people loitering in the hotel courtyard. I had a random man come up to me who wasn't staying in the hotel who asked me if I was a **********. I appreciated that the hotel took quick action when they heard about this, but I think there should be better security in the courtyard.
The hotel is very new and convenient access to the train station and all major tourist attractions.
Room is clean and well organised.
The staffs are all extremely helpful and friendly. They are quick to help and always smiling.
Definitely recommend the stay for people coming to Samarkand.
The hotel is located at a very convenient location right opposite to Shoh-I-Zinda complex. The other renowned complexes like Registan Square, Bibikhanum mausoleum...eyc are at a walking distance from the hotel. The facilities were great with a nice breakfast and the staff professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great hotel. I had an Executive King room and I really enjoyed the executive part of it. Executive rooms are situated on the floors 15-18 for better views and also the complimentary access to the executive lounge from 8.00 to 20.00 hours is included in the price.
Great 3 nights stay at Movenpick hotel with all amenities. Very convenient and close to the Gour Emir monument (4/5mn by walk) and the Registan square (15/16mn). A lot of cafe and restaurants around the hotel as we didn’t book the hotel breakfast. As we are lazy to dine out, we enjoyed twice diners at the restaurant Caramelle (really juicy manti and tasteful somsa & soups) We tried the sauna (hammam was under reparation) and the fitness. We had pleasant drinks at the pool bar. So we can recommend the Movenpick hotel at Samarkand. And the room rates are very affordable for a 4,5/5* hotel.
We are so happy and satisfied with this hotel until the day we checked out. We were accused of taking the laundry bag which is worth 300k Uzbek SUM. I went up with 2 staff and it turned out it was in the drawer all the time (the funny thing is I never even touched it.) I don’t blame these 2 staff as I know it is their responsibility to make sure nothing was missing/stolen (though next time it would be appreciated if they can check it more thoroughly.)
What truly pissed me off is the attitude from another female staff at the reception named Zarifa. From the moment we checked out, she just looked grumpy and when my friend said “we never used it”, she reacted with “I am sure you did” in a very rude way! Even later on, it turned out to be in the drawer in the room, she was not even apologetic (the other 2 staff at least said “sorry for the mistake.”
This is one of the 2 five star hotels in Samarkand and I just hope what we paid at this hotel is equivalent to the amount of respect you show to your customers. The hotel really NEEDS to put more training in your staff’s service.
By the way, we had a really nice chat with another staff named “Firdav” at the first floor bar (if I remember his name correctly, he is tall and bit skinny). He had worked in Hilton for 2 years and the professionalism and politeness he demonstrated is just another level. PLEASE LEARN FROM HIM THAT HOW A STAFF AT 5 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BEHAVE AND TREAT THEIR GUESTS!!

Great
MMonika_bThis is a good hotel. We stayed at the Hilton before this, and this hotel is no different in terms of quality. It's clean, and the housekeeping is daily, with excellent staff. The downside (we stayed in March 2026) is that there's absolutely nothing nearby. The fountains weren't working, and neither were the water park, amusement park, or shopping center! In the summer, during peak season, it would probably be wonderful here! But not at any other time of year!
GGuest UserThe room facilities were quite good; it had everything one would need. I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I was glad to find the bathroom very clean. Both breakfast and room service were delicious. Although the ingredients were simple, the taste was genuinely good, and the breakfast ingredients were all fresh. This led us to choose to have dinner at the hotel too, but to my surprise, the dinner was a disaster. The last three pictures are of the hotel dinner; I had asparagus and steak that made me question life choices. The chef's skill is actually decent, but they really messed up with these non-local ingredients. I'd still choose to stay at this hotel next time, but I definitely won't be eating at the restaurant again.
GGuest UserI was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. All my expectations were fully met.
The staff were polite and attentive; you feel their welcoming attitude towards guests from the very first moment. The room was clean and cozy, with everything you need.
I especially want to highlight the very convenient location of the hotel, making it easy to get to the city's main attractions.
A big plus is the sauna and swimming pool. After walking around the city, it was especially nice to relax in the hotel's spa area in the evening. This added even more comfort to my vacation.
Overall, it's a very pleasant and charming hotel. I only have good impressions. I highly recommend it.
LLuoleibinA good choice, but the hotel didn't remind me to check in 2 hours early and I had to pay $40! **** didn't say a word, ”Wait a minute, now it's double the price.” Just take the money and stop talking. Speechless 😓, the breakfast is really great, I have to say more about the good stuff.

GGabrielaMedranoI really liked this hotel. Big room and super clean. The beds super comfortable. They have a bar, coffee shop, restaurant inside the hotel. They also have stuff for your phone if you need to buy. I just stayed one night and I missed the breakfast but I read it is good. They provide lots of amenities. Big closset, iron, dryer, water, kettle, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, ear plugs, cotton pads, etc...Overall was a very good experience. It is in the Registan stret so you get to the Registan Square by walking. Helpful staff and friendly.
GGuest UserAn excellent stay in a beautiful hotel with best ever service. I enjoyed really much. The room was equipped with high end technologies. The breakfast is fresh, great selection and gluten free options available upon request. The view is excellent. For information: the hotel is located in highly secured and very well developed closed area. It’s very clean modern and security controlled but not in the center of a city. You have to keep it in mind when you plan your trip. It requires 15 more minutes by taxi to get to the center, but in return you live in a very high standard & modern area with gated entrance.
GGuest UserResiding in the hotel 2 nights, enjoyed the service on the recipes and breakfast, all very kind) the hotel itself is very cozy and beautiful! The interior courtyard is very nice, from the room with the view on the garden you can see the Bibi-Khanum Mosque) Location is good, Near Registant Square) a little did not meet expectations of a range of food on breakfast, it was quite humble (compared to hotel 3* in Tashkent, there were eyes running), but hungry , of course not staying)
GGuest UserGood hotel. It's located just across the road from one of the main attractions, Shah-i-Zinda. Most of the main sights are about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel has everything you need, or you can request it. The rooms are good and clean. Breakfasts are good. For me, the only problem, as in all of Samarkand really, was the poor coffee.
The hotel's main highlight is its swimming pool with sun loungers and a cozy courtyard. Although I didn't get to swim, we did sunbathe a bit. There's also a sauna, which we enjoyed. The only downside was that the steam in the hammam was very strong, and the seats weren't heated.
The staff were responsive. Overall, we liked everything.
KKCLDRIPone of the best hotel in samarkand, they might be old but oldies but goldie. you can feel the culture with this hotel, and the staff here are amazing from receptionist to everyone serving food at the buffet, love the ambiance and hospitality. and btw you can get 15percent discount with emirhan restaurant if you are staying at this hotel. will be back here for
