I hate leaving bad reviews; travelling here from the US was a long and exhausting process. I arrived at 07:30, way ahead of check in, and didn't expect a room, but maybe a place where I could sit and have coffee. Gentlemen at the desk said coffee was part of breakfast buffet, that I needed to wait until I was checked in for the next day. Really? I couldn't have coffee even though I was booked here two nights? Wow. I got checked in at 1, which was fine, but the room was uncomfortably warm. I found the thermostat and turned the heat to cool. Tried to nap (up all night traveling here), but it was too warm. And, I heard people talking like they were in my room. They were in an adjacent room - talking in normal voices - no sound barrier at all! I set the air to the coldest setting and left, returned a couple of hours later and the room was hot. I called the front desk and was told no air conditioning and to open a window. Loud construction and traffic - and the neighbors talking = no sleep again. Day 2, repeat. New neighbors talking, room still hot, loud noises out the window. The hotel also offers free WiFi, but it was slow and intermittent at best. Just terrible. I thought I would give them a pass on that since we were at the ”end of the world,” but found the restaurants I ate at had good WiFi. Asides: no water or coffee available except until 10:00. The bigger issue was water, as the guides I read claimed ”tap water in Ushuaia is not potable.” I've traveled to Africa (several times), Borneo, Thailand, Norway, S Korea, Costa Rica - every place I've stayed provided water, and most had coffee or other beverages available throughout the day as complimentary. To be fair, they provided bottled water in the rooms - but in the mini bar for a price. And breakfast? The breakfast plates they provide are the size of coffee saucers! And the first thing they took away from the breakfast bar was the coffee pot!! So - not impressed. I would not stay here again.

We stayed here for 1 night before an Antarctic cruise. Ushuaia is very small so you can walk to anywhere. The hotel is opposite the port so very handy for this. There is also a taxi rank across the road and we got a taxi to the End of the World train and had a nice ride on there. Would recommend the hotel for a short break.

An unexpected treat before our Auatralis boat trip. Perhaps it shouldn’t have been a surprise but we hadn’t expected it to be quite so lovely. The location of the hotel and in particular its spa is outstanding. The rooms were very lovely and spacious with great bathrooms and the bar/ dining areas were great. The views from the lobby bar and lower restaurant were spectacular. The food was delicious and very plentiful. Too plentiful! Definitely the place to stay.

The restaurant dinner was genuinely fabulous - Michelin worthy. Mushroom risotto followed by a beef tenderloin that was 6 inches high and grilled to perfection. After that, a chocolate fondue with fruit and profiteroles! This is why I gave the hotel five stars. Had it not been for that meal, it would have earned 4. Unfortunately, the soundproofing between rooms is virtually nonexistent. This fact takes away from the beautiful view over the Beagle Channel. Service at the hotel was also very good with one big exception, a rather sullen woman (shania or something like it) greeted us on the fist day with absolute apathy and was never pleasant after that. The balance of the staff are great. But if you choose not to stay any the hotel, eat at the restaurant. It is worth the trip.

LOVED this hotel! Easy to walk around town. Rooms are clean and spacious. Spa amenities were great, although it was difficult to find a space to get a massage as they were fully booked. Check in was quick and easy. The breakfast was good and had a large variety of offerings (including some desserts!)

The Good stuff Great views from rooms, and it's a moving view with all the ships leaving port, even if you just had trees out your room window, great views over Ushuaia, airport and harbour from common areas such as bar, restaurant. Friendly staff, even the ones who speak limited English always keen to help. Beds are comfortable. Internet was really fast and reliable Food is nice and reasonably priced in the bar (around what you pay for bar or takeaway food in tourist places in Ushuaia). There is also a restaurant which I didn't use, except for with the included breakfast, which is a buffet type of arrangement. Has bacon, eggs, various bread, pastries, cereal, juice, the standard stuff. There's some nature trails next to hotel that take you to other hotels through forest with creeks and the like. Bad stuff The location that gives you those trails and views, well it's about a ten minute drive to Ushuaia. The hotel is located in the mountains behind the town. So if you don't have a car because you're on a tour that for some reason doesn't grasp the concept most people want to stay in the towns if they haven't been to a place before, well you've got to rely on the free shuttle (a van). It leaves from town 9:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 4pm (yep big gap in there), 6pm and 8pm. It leaves for town (to the wharf area) from the hotel at 8am, 10am, midday, 3:30pm (another huge gap), 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Doesn't open for your paid for with room price breakfast until 7am. This is a pretty late time to eat breakfast. Especially when you consider the astronomical amount of day tours (front of hotel is like a bus station in the morning), people with early flights or who are boarding ships to Antarctica. On checkout day the tour I was on had a 6am pickup to the airport, I enquired if we get breakfast we paid for somehow. Was told you can order a picnic lunch from bar, and I asked if this was complementary, and was told oh no you have to pay for it. Likewise you pay theme park/airport prices for laundry. You have to pay per item and not the standard one price for whatever fits in a laundry bag (a load) that you get in most places. Or even per kg. But per item. Underwear is $2USD. Socks $2USD. T-shirt $3USD. Sweater $6. For the ladies a dress is somehow $12. And if you want anything ironed on top of that items range from $2 to $10 to be what they call pressed. The hotel does have a good hairdryer in the walk in wardrobe, except it is attached by a chord to the wall so you've got to stand in there to dry your underwear or whatever after washing it in the sink. For some reason though the coat hangers are permanently attached to the rod in the walk in wardrobe, so you can't hang stuff to get the sunlight through the window or something and minimise the hairdryer time. The shower is not only in a bath (bad enough) but the holder thing the shower hose sits in tilts the head so it sprays all over the floor (since there is a really little ba

Nice hotel. Modern and clean. The room was great with a balcony and nice view. The bed was roomy and super comfortable. Firm which I like. Soft beds hurt my back. Big TV and a mini-bar. No counter space in the bathroom, but that's normal for low to mid-range hotels. Walls were a bit thin.. I could hear the TV in the adjoining room and could hear water noises in the walls from the plumbing but these things were relatively minor. Great location right on the main street downtown. The staff was very kind and helpful. Never tried the restaurant in the hotel so I wouldn't know how the food was, but overall I was happy with my choice and my stay.

Our room was spacious and clean, and everything worked well. There is a safe and small functional kitchen as well as a living area separate from the bedroom. The room also has a nice balcony with awesome views of the mountains. The Wi-Fi connection was strong throughout the property. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is included. It is self-service with fresh scrambled eggs, ham and cheese, bread/pastries, fruits, cereals, and beverages. It's sufficient for a good start in the morning. The property is located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the marina. The hotel does not have a restaurant. This is a good place to stay in Ushuaia. It's conveniently located, rooms are nice and staff are pleasant and helpful.
