Une chambre d’hôtel au milieu des bougainvilliers avec une belle terrasse, il faut passer le portail de cet établissement bien tenu, les parties collectives sont élégante tes et bien décorées, de l’accueil au service de chambre en passant par le bar et le petit déjeuner, la gentillesse, le sourire et les conseils sont au rendez-vous.

First of all and without much ado: I really have to issue a warning here. This hotel is an absolute disgrace. Nothing that is promised on the website is even close to being true. I booked this hotel for one night and - frankly - was surprised that the price had been reduced from supposedly over 100€ to under 70€ - but I put this down to the off-season. The check in. Coming from the airport, I wanted to check in 1 hour earlier than planned (to which, according to ******* as a gold member, I’m entitled to and this was advertised by the hotel, as well). The receptionist turned this down so I had to contact her manager. After a while, she came out of her office, deranged and obviously drunk, and slurred something about ”impossible behavior”. She was probably uncomfortable with her condition, as she could barely speak a sentence, because she gave me the key to my room and pointed out that the much-praised rooftop was closed due to a drainage problem and that I could ‚enjoy the beautiful sides of the city outside‘. The rooftop was one of the main reasons for me to choose this hotel. The room. I wasn't expecting much and didn't plan to stay in the room for long due to the good weather. What was important to me was the rooftop. When I entered the room, the blow hit me. The room was so small that I could hardly turn around. It smelled like mold. The guest's long hair was in front of me (or the cleaning staff?) on the bed, but I also found it in the shower. The ”view” from the tiny window shows the view of a dark courtyard from which there is a terrible smell of cigarette smoke. Uninsulated electric cables protrude from the ceiling. It was a nightmare. I took my stuff and went back to reception - I couldn't stay here. Waiting for the elevator, I heard loud and prolonged unambiguous moans across the hall - I've rarely been so ashamed of others. In short - there is nothing left of the ”gloss” of the ratings. Based on my experiences, this hotel can only be described as a hot sheet hotel (no-tell hotel). The manager was outrageous and her employee no less rude, but at least she wasn't drunk in broad daylight. Both of them steadfastly refused to refund me the amount paid. I will have to contact ******* over this. Clear negative recommendation from my travel experience in 2022. I strongly advise against a visit if style, ambience and health are important to you.

Premier séjour réussi, rien à redire confortable, silence tout en étant dans la ville, propreté impeccable, personnel attentif et efficace. Un bon restaurant à coté à des prix très correct et de qualité. Petit déjeuner un peu cher sauf si on est un gros déjeuneur du matin, il y a de quoi se remplir la panse. A conseiller les yeux fermés.

Lovely stay, very pretty island, hotel well placed, overlooking beach.Staff very friendly and helpful. Room spotless and large bathroom . Bar prices a bit steep!

The Mercure hotel has a great location. It is 10 min drive from Ajaccio Airport. It has a 24×7 store (Proxi), petrol station, eateries (breakfast, Crêpes, pizzas) right next to it. The parking in the hotel is chargeable (12 eur per night). The receptionists are very cordial, they provide all the info and extend every possible help. The rooms are clean and have enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Kids slept on a sofa bed and it was already set-up and was comfy. The bathroom has shower, hand shower and the toilet has a water jet (first time I saw one in Europe). The pool is small but you can spend an evening sitting around it. The only thing that doesn't work but that's true for all of Ajaccio (nothing to do with Mercure) is that you will need to drive 2-3 hours to get to interesting sights in Corsica. Piana Calanques are ~2hrs away, Calvi is ~2.5 hrs away, Polambaggia beach is ~3 hrs away and Bonifacio again ~3 hrs away.

La chambre dont nous disposions était vaste, confortable avec une terrasse donnant sur le jardin. L'hôtel est situé à environ 1/4 d'heure à pied du centre de l'Ile-Rousse ce qui permet de laisser son véhicule au parking de l'hôtel ou à celui situé juste à l'arrière avec accès direct. Comme à l'habitude en Corse, ensemble du personnel très aimable et serviable. Le seul petit bémol : pourquoi en période chaude, mettre une couette en place avec la climatisation qui fonctionne ? Nous sommes obligés de supprimer cette couette et de couper la climatisation et nous passons une bonne nuit ! Hors mis ce petit point, un lieu où nous aurions envie de revenir pour en profiter plusieurs jours.

After an accident in the mountains, we got stranded in Bastia. The hotel turned out to be a perfect place to stay. Super friendly staff who were always trying to help however they could. The rooms are spacious and there were even racks to get up from the toilet. The hotel provided a wheelchair for the person who had broken her ankle in the mountains. Everything was superclean (much cleaner than in the hospital) and the food was delicious. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a better hotel than this.

C'est la deuxième fois que je vais dans cette résidence, l'accueil est toujours chaleureux, un endroit idéal a l'écart de la ville sur la route des sanguinaires , j'ai réservé un studio pour 3 jours (pendant les fêtes du nouvel an, j'ai prix option parking privé, et petit déjeuner. Le studio est trés bien pour un couple avec un balcon vu mer, sur le golfe d'Ajaccio et les sanguinaires. Le petit déjeuner est trés bien et assez suffisant avec quelques produits corses. Je tiens aussi a remercier la serveuse au petit déjeuner pour sa gentillesse. J'y retournerais avec plaisir.

Reception: Friendly and courteous. Mona assisted us with questions and was brilliant. Room / facilities: Room / suite number 214 is on the 2nd floor and is clean and very spacious. We stayed 2 nights. There are 3x Self control air conditioning (1x in each room) with a windows/doors that open for fresh air. The room has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with toilet), a separate toilet, separate tv room, balcony. Each bedroom has hanging/ storage areas, plenty of power outlets. The lounge room has a large flat screen TV, lounge chair and additional single chair, coffee table, 2x floor lamps only (no roof or wall lighting), a safe and small bar fridge with 2 welcome bottles of water. There are tea and coffee facilities. Laundry: There is no Self service coin laundry on site but there is “Calvi Laverie” coin operated laundry next to the SuperU supermarket, 5 minutes walk away. Parking: Various parking options are available - payable parking in the clamped area (10 cars) - free street parking directly in-front the hotel (6 cars) - free parking above the bakery (6 cars) - free parking in the overflow dirt area (5 cars). This is often closed off to cater for busses. - All town street parking is timed and payable. Wifi: Complementary and good speed. Validation and email required. Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Excellent location close to all town amenities. Location / Nearby: Calvi town and all its offerings, Citadel, port, supermarket, beach, bus and train station (SNCF Gare) Getting to hotel: If arriving by car, best use GPS.

We just returned from an amazing holiday in Corsica. Our stay and base was at Hotel Casa Bianca conveniently situated just 2 minutes walk from the central port of Calvi with its many amenities, shops, beach and restaurant. We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel which had a boutique feel with stylish interiors. Highly recommend to book a room with a balcony which we did and truly enjoyed the view of the mountains after a long day out exploring the northern part of Corsica. The pool was also greatly enjoyed too and the drinks made by the staff were really nice. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and a huge thank you to Anne Marie for your hospitality. Highly recommend this hotel and the staff who made our holiday special.
