The experience was superb! The onsen was good and relaxing. I love that they provide yogurt drink and ice lolly. There is also complimentary soba noodles at 9:30pm. What is more important is that they have free laundry and that the status of the machines can be viewed on TV!
We had a pleasant stay in general. However, room ceaning service needs to be improved. Our group of people have a few bad experiences.
1) after returning to room after the day, there was a used mask left in the bathroom. There’s also a day without providing onsen towels and we had to bring over the mid size ones
2) the door of my friend’s room remained open after the cleaning service (a 3M sticker with なすし2 sticked on wall). Glad there’s no missing items
3) another room, there was blood and urine stint left on the toilet cover!
I hope the hotel can take it seriously as it indeed ruins the brand of IHG and bad customer experience.
Wonderful place wonderful food. Just a small reminder for people who needs private shower. Here they have only two rooms provide private onsen. For other rooms they only provide toilet. You have to use the public onsen (separate sex) which is very common for Japanese hostels. Clean, nice etc. you may also rent a private onsen for only US8/ 50 mins session. Worth the price!
It was ok...the wrong time of year no snow and no spring just drab and cold the hotel is old and run down even tatty in places. It was overpriced.
Of course this is no reflection on the staff but the hotel owner. The staff looked like they were doing their best.
we stayed in a 2-bed room for 7 nights . The room was spotless and clean. Buffet Breakfasts was typical Japanese style and adequate with slight variations each day. Staff were polite but we didn’t require any extra service. The room was tiny and felt cramped - perhaps 12 square metres Little space for 2 suitcases and just 6 coat hangers for our thick puffer jackets. Bathroom has 1 single hook only, no grab handle in the bathtub cum shower : a trip hazard. However 2 big supermarkets within 10 minutes‘walk and a MacDonald opening on December 11.
The hotel is about half an hour ride from Ryusendo Cave (龍泉洞) and is close to the Sanriku Coast. Judging from photos, it’s probably better than other hotels nearby in terms of cleanliness and amenities. It doesn’t disappoint me. The public bath (大浴場) is good. The view over the coast is perfect.
The hotel nestled in the middle of Iwate and Akita Japan with an amazing sceneries of mountain. The accomodati on is super comfortable with an amazing view of trees and mountains covered in snow. The other highlight of this place is the culinary experience this place got to offer the course dinner and breakfast that uses locally sourced ingredients from both Akita and Iwate prefecture and the presentation of the cuisine that brings out the quality and the stories of the place. Overall an extraordinary experience and worth a trip of its own.

YYoshimasaIn the natural environment surrounded by mountains and forests, the clear stream behind the inn flows gurgling, healing the body and mind.
It is fun to enjoy each of the four hot springs that flow directly from the source, but we especially recommend the deepest hot spring in Japan.
This is a self-propelled natural rock bath ”Shirasaru no Yu”. This is a very rare hot spring. Due to its depth, you can stand up to enter, but it is evenly distributed throughout your body.
It is said that applying hot water pressure can effectively promote blood circulation. The hall also has a nostalgic atmosphere, as if traveling to the past.
The hospitality of the staff is also very attentive. If you have the opportunity to stay in Hanamaki, it is a hotel worth staying in.
EEnggieThe hotel is in the same area as the university hospital. It seems that the parking area can be shared. There are some restaurants near the hotel, but not many. We bought food from a convenience store to eat. There is a microwave to use. There is ice to eat. If you don't have chopsticks, you can ask the staff for some. The room is clean and tidy. There is a table suitable for eating. There is enough space to open a big suitcase. The bed is warm and comfortable. The TV can be turned left and right (but I don't know why it has to be turned).

JJovaWe chose to stay at this hotel because we were going to Appi Plateau for skiing. It only takes about half an hour to drive there, which is very convenient.
The hotel is much larger than expected, the staff is very friendly, the most surprising thing is the hot spring, the open-air bath is super comfortable, a lot of skin care products are provided.
Free coffee and soda are provided in the lobby, which is very generous. There are also two free bottles of water in the room refrigerator every day.
The room rate includes one night and two meals. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner is a Japanese kaiseki cuisine, which is very delicious.

CchrizluenFor this price, there's absolutely nothing to complain about! 👍🏼👍🏼 The room was spotless and the view was incredible, looking right out at Mount Iwate 🥰. The food was also fantastic and very filling 🤣🤣. Overall, it was really great value for money! 🥳
AAimee AzizReally love the hotel. Its right in front of the train station. Check in was very smooth. The staff helped with the process. Then you are provided with a night gown to use. The room was quite spacious for Japan and it was comfortable. And the breakfast was nice too. It was a small spread but has variety and were all good. We have no complaints about this hotel and wish to stay at other Comfort Inns as well if all are as good as this hotel.
AAnonymous UserThe most comfortable and best hotel I stayed in during my trip to Northeast Japan. Both the hardware facilities and the service staff were excellent. I especially praised a Chinese brother wearing glasses who was very kind and attentive. He could communicate in both Chinese and English. I hope I can come to Appi Plateau to see the snow again in winter if I have the chance~
