"Granbell Hotel, booked 2 king size bed ocean facing rooms and the views did not disappoint! Waking up to the full glass ceiling to floor windows is an awesome experience even better than on a balcony class cruise ship. bathtub is awesome! glass wall design allows full view of ocean while soaking.

26th floor Minori Japanese Restaurant also lend an awesome view to the great sunset over the ocean with delicious food at competitive prices.

1. room maintenance, checked into a room with 2 lights, TV and toilet sliding door not working or functioning in good state, had to spend time waiting for technician to come repairs.
2. room amenities, provide hand or face towels, only two bath towel in room.

breakfast has a good spread, but lacking in variety for long stay guests.
elevators can take time to arrive, elevators' doors close too quickly, a safety hazard for elderly or slow moving guests."

"Overall experience is good. But there is some areas need improving
Since my reservation AI went for take my evening snack. As per mentioned went to Pinklobster outlet. Had to wait to find someone in that outlet. And I went to Reception and informed there is no one and they called. Again I went back and stay around 15min and one of the person cam and inform us there is snack in another location.
Pool bar service is perfect
In the evening there was no lights in out corridor and evening Wifi not worked in our room informed to reception and they help us to resolve the problem.
In the restaurant plates are not in good condition. There is lots of scratch marks on the plate. (Black marks)"

"Not the best experience for staying there. The rooms are very small. They couldn’t find our reservation for one hour (we had two rooms but they found only one) after one hour the problem was solved. After we got hour of worries we go to room to sleep and right the next room was fixing something with crazy noise so after night of flight I couldn’t rest. The respection not answer so I decided to go to them, open door and almost fell down because workers put their staff near our door. (One the photo my room) Not recommended at least you need a good view from swimming pool. Breakfast was bad as well."

"Avoid: Misleading Room Categories & Poor Service
I booked two ”Superior King Rooms,” but upon arrival, the hotel claimed this category doesn't exist and forced me into basic ”Deluxe” rooms. They continue to advertise these non-existent categories online.
As a family with elderly members and children, we were also assigned rooms at opposite ends of the floor, despite our request for proximity. Management was dismissive and blamed the booking platform rather than taking responsibility for their own inventory.
Be aware: What you book is not what you will get. I expected 5-star service but received a downgrade and zero accountability. Save your money and look elsewhere."

GGuest UserGreat hotel, except for location. A little too far from city and markets, but a great tuk-tuk ride was exciting.
Staff friendly and helpful.
The Fishery Grill and Bar has sensational food. Good prices.
Bed was super comfy.
Groundsman was super good showed us a cool out of the way place to sit and watch the ocean. He also bought us each a coconut to drink.

MManuri LinaraI recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience.
The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all.
Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers.
The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety.
Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness.
The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming.
Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money.

GGuest UserThe room was great, but it's the rainy season now, so it's very humid. Being so close to the sea made it even more so. The service was impeccable, though I was surprised to see people making the staff serve them at the self-service breakfast. It's like they thought spending money made them royalty, so I tipped the staff who served me. Lying on my balcony looking at the sea was such a pleasure. The TV in the room had everything I wanted to watch, which was amazing. With some music on, just watching the sea and zoning out was pure bliss.

IIan LagacLocation is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious.
Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready.
Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait.
Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating.
Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool.
Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people.
Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

GGuest UserSeriously, this was the most pleasant surprise of the entire trip! It was the cheapest hotel we booked, so I didn't have high expectations, but it far exceeded them. Everything was perfect – 10/10. The location is super convenient, right in the city center and close to a shopping mall. The sea view is beautiful, and there's a little tourist train right downstairs.

IIbrahim AzlifCinnamon Life truly lives up to its name as the City of Dreams! The facilities are world-class, offering everything you could possibly need and more. There are plenty of dining options with excellent food outlets to choose from. The gym is well-equipped and maintained, perfect for keeping up with your fitness routine during your stay.
The pool area is spotless and inviting, with attentive onsite lifeguards ensuring safety at all times. The poolside bar is a great place to relax and unwind a perfect spot to chill out after a busy day.
Cinnamon Life is more than just a hotel; it’s a full-fledged business and entertainment centre that has everything under one roof. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning!

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

The team at Marino Beach Hotel were absolutely amazing warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made my stay really pleasant and comfortable.
The one disappointment was the strict policy: Food are not allowed near the pool or sun‑lounge areas, only in one corner of the rooftop Level 10. This isn’t a practical choice many guests want to relax and enjoy a light meal or snack while staying by the water. Having to dry off and change fully to enter the restaurant meant it was often empty, and I think the hotel misses out on extra business this way.
Otherwise, a nice, well‑kept property with lovely people just hope they review that rule soon.

ZZorpaI stayed a wonderful couple of days at Colombo Court. The hotel is lovely and the room spacious and very comfortable. The staff are really friendly, helpful and there is always someone around if you need anything. I had a wonderful massage at the spa as well, which really added to the luxury experience. I would absolutely stay here again!
