"Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Es war nur leider ein bisschen Schimmel an der Fliese in der Dusche. Es gibt einen Herd, Toaster, Pfanne, Töpfe, Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank. Den Whirlpool im Hotel kann man ohne Zusatzkosten nutzen, was ein nettes Extra war."

"Reception was efficient, Room was located upstairs a bit inconvenient especially with bags to haul, the room was spacious and clean , jetted tub was awesome, very handy location, our room was next to the main entrance, very noisy with traffic going past, woke us several times during the night, would not recommend this room.
Would prefer a downstairs room away from the main entrance will be mindful if I book this hotel again."

Guest UserAlways a good stay at Wairakei resort, comfortable room very close to main lobby which has excellent AC. Plenty of on site parking and love the access to the motorway. The bathroom cleaning could be better as I found a few hairs in the tub when we got there however this was the only thing I could fault.

Anonymous UserA hotel I absolutely adore, perfect for a vacation. The three-bedroom apartment features 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, and 2 bathrooms, with one en-suite bedroom. The living room has large balconies on both sides; one faces Lake Taupo directly, while the other overlooks the hotel's thermal pool. Restaurant: The buffet breakfast includes a buffet spread and a la carte main courses. The buffet selection itself is already very rich.

Guest UserIt's a small cabin, and the room itself is tiny; I struggled to even open my 29-inch suitcase. It felt more like a student dorm. The bathroom and shower are separate, requiring a walk outside to get to the shared kitchen, bathroom, and shower facilities. This could be quite inconvenient if it's raining or cold. You can park right outside your door, but you can hear noise from the neighboring rooms. The staff kindly provided free plates and pots for cooking in the kitchen, but you do need to ask for them. The bathroom and shower facilities also require a password to enter.

Anonymous UserWe stayed in the 3-bedroom house and were very satisfied with our stay. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. From the moment we checked in, it immediately felt like home. Everything was comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only suggestion would be to provide one heater in each bedroom, as there was only one heater for the three rooms and we had to move it between rooms. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend this property to others.

I did like this place very much. The hotel is made up of small chalets. The room studio was amazing, clean and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was charming and super helpful giving information about what to do for the rest of my day. I got there early and she got me in my room right away. I was able to go and do the Driving Creek Railway ride. It was an amazing experience. Coromandel is a very small village so not much to see other than a few stores. But the landscape is beautiful and there is a 50 minutes hike up the hill and a magnificent view of the Coromandel Bay right next to the hotel. A must see!

The room was unsatisfactory. Cobwebs and insects on walls, broken & wobbly dining chairs. Even the stair railing to go upstairs is shaky. Chipped bowls and plates. Most serious is that hot water shower is almost impossible! Hot water seems to be limited. It's always freezing cold water! Imagine having soap all over your body and literally freezing just to wait for the hot water to come but yet not enough to rinse off the soap! I gave up trying to shower the next day. And no Aircon on upstairs room. We had to ask for a small fan just to ventilate the room

I stayed here with my mum and brother in a kitchen cabin. The cabin itself was quite basic and very small – fine for one night, but it would feel too cramped for a longer stay.
That said, the campsite itself is lovely and the swimming pools were an absolute highlight. We really loved them and would happily stay here again just for the pools alone.
Next time, I’d definitely upgrade the accommodation to something more spacious. An on-site café would also be a great addition and would really enhance the overall experience.
