I was attending the AMVETS National Executive Committee Meeting at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott the second week of March. When we first arrived we were greeted with a warm smile at the front desk. Angela P. was the perfect host and the epitome of customer service. Very personable and accommodating to our needs for our stay, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Along with Erin and Darnell, the staff at the front desk and the security officers were outstanding! However, the event group leadership and staff is another story. It seemed that a certain individual was trying to make a name for themselves and in doing so destroyed a great portion of our enjoyment during our stay. I will say he and his minions provided us a memory that will be remembered for quite a long time; a memory exactly opposite of the wonderful service we received at the front desk! Kudos to Angela and her co workers!

The Best Western Dulles Airport Inn offers exceptional convenience with its proximity to the airport, complemented by a complimentary shuttle service. Guests are sure to appreciate the warm, welcoming staff who consistently go above and beyond. This hotel is an excellent choice for airport-centric stays.

The resort itself is a 10. The parking a 1. The parking garage is super duper tight. I hit my car and I saw other cars actually get hit in the parking garage. It was designed for small vehicles. Not SUV’s, minivans or trucks. Beware of your vehicle of you go there!

We usually stay at the one in Rosslyn, one Metro stop away. However, this time we wanted a two-bedroom suite and Rosslyn did not have availability. First, the rooms. This includes two bathrooms, so it could easily be shared by two couples. The living room is compact and includes a TV, as does each bedroom. The kitchen has everything except a toaster or an oven, so a toaster-oven would be great, but hazardous, I imagine. The dining room table is comfortable for 4-5 people. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom has a tub. The room was quiet. We have yet to try more of the common areas, such as pool, laundry and gym. Breakfast is standard with plenty of seating. The front desk staff is very helpful, with directions to the nearby pharmacy and food store. The area is very safe. We did not bring a car so cannot comment on the garage.

The experience is among the top. The only exception is the house keeping service: it must be manually appointed 24 hours prior, which does not seem comparable with other 3-start hotels.

Had a quick business trip in the Fairfax area and had to bring my kids I got the 1 bedroom suite. I checked in late and the living room which had a separate heater was broken. It was late and i was exhausted to move rooms after already unpacking. So I let the kids sleep with me in my room which after a full day of traveling was super annoying. They didn't have someone to fix the heater only during the hours of 9-5pm. Next day switched rooms. No big deal. Overall the facility was very well located and the staff was very nice. The lobby area was great to grab breakfast and wifi was fast. Free parking, great location off route 66 and route 50. I would stay again if needed. PROS Great location Well priced and good breakfast WIFI fast Free parking Great staff CONS As all courtyards/extended stays the maintence/housekeeping only works 9-5pm Had to switch rooms due to a broken heater

Room was clean and modern with sufficient USB ports to charge all devices. Food choices across the street. My only complaint was that at my Saturday afternoon check-in I had arranged for a 2 p.m. Sunday late check-out as I had a morning activity. I returned from my activity at noon, went to my 4th floor room to discover my key had been deactivated. I then had to go back down to the desk for them to tell me my key was automatically deactivated at 11 a.m. even though their system did show I had arranged for a late checkout. I'm not sure if this is a system problem or a human one.

Clean room, decent breakfast. The room is clean and very comfortable beds. The hotel has a small gym and pool. Fast and easy check-in. Kind staff. There is a shuttle to the airport available.

We paid $100 via Booking.com for a queen suite room 212. First of all the front door was warped like someone had tried to push it in, making it hard to unlock. The room was dreary and tired. The thing that did it for me though was there was dried shower gel still on the soap tray in the shower and a hair. I went straight down to reception and politely asked for a refund, showing photos on my phone. The young guy on reception said his manager wasnt around to give a refund, but he could put us in another room. I asked if we could have a nicer room under the circumstances so he showed me room 213 across the hall. It was a larger queen suite. I thanked him knowing he did his best, but again it was a tired room. Other reviews I have seen have mentioned this a few years back, and I think management said it was due to be refurbished. This does not appear to have been carried out, and in my opinion you would have to remove all the chipped doors, replace carpets and sofas…. The list does go on. I am attaching photos of room 213. The hairdryer said it all. Lots of dirty finger prints never wiped off. If you want to stay in a cheaper hotel, the beds are comfy. That might be all you need. However, we were spoiled on our outward journey staying at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Herndon nearby. It was fantastic. I would definitely pay the extra $30 in future for a room there. Oh and the free airport shuttle was an old vehicle with the hotel name on a piece of A4 paper taped to the window. We watched the other hotel shuttles go by looking very smart. We felt even in the shuttle, we knew what was coming!

The hotel is very clean and there customer service is above and beyond they contacted my phone to ask if I needed anything there amenities are amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a get away or someone looking to treat there partner to a night out ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were in the Chantilly area, visiting some relatives, for a few days, the stay was very good, during the stay we had a lot of fun with the Maria la Fron desk is very funny, the ladies of housekeeping are also very friendly, I thank them that they were always attentive if we needed anything, the rooms we rented very clean when we arrived, They maintain the hotel very well, the manager Ana is a very friendly, pleasant person, she knows every detail of the hotel, anything you ask her about the hotel she answers easily.

Two one night stays. Fairly standard Courtyard. Night 1 - front desk agent less than interested; and further less interested in dealing with parking. But he did confirm the 24/7 IAD shuttle service that was advertised with the parking. Shuttle to airport - frankly a fairly unpleasant gentleman; although he kept his word about leaving on time. Night 2 - I called for the shuttle from IAD. Nope - not available. Had to take an expensive Lyft ride. I asked that front desk agent about the shuttle and he told me management discontinued the 24/7 service. Any notice given? Nope. The 24/7 shuttle is still advertised on the parking website, so buyer beware. The whole reason I stayed at this property was that the two nights with the parking and the 24/7 shuttle were for a reasonable price and met all my needs.

It was very clean and structured practically and convenient. I enjoyed my staying here with my wife. Whenever I visit Fairfax County this place is my favorite lodging place. The staff are very nice and hospitable and friendly. I would love to introduce this place with thumps up!

*** Happen to Ed! This hotel has gone to sh!* to the point were we had to contact lawyers for advance on how to move forward. Corporate/customer relations has not been vary helpful, tho we do have more than one complaints in. So let’s begin… I personally stayed at this location before it was an ESA and was a long term resident throughout the hotel switch and after. When it switch to ESA the manager Edward was amazing! Other guest including myself loved him. I end up moving and my family still stays at this location. ( my mom, & sister) separately. There is now a new manager. “JB”. Who has hired new staff and him along with his new staff has been extremely unprofessional, rude, stank & sh*!y to my family who stays here along with other guest & staff who was hired before he got here. Example 1- one of the managers walked into my sisters room without knocking or calling because DOWNSTAIRS ROOM SMELLED LIKE SMOKE. While her kids were in there sleeping. (You don’t let urself into a guest room like that) then gave her a hard time and blaming her for a separate room smelling Smokey. 2- a guy who stays a door down from my moms room called her a N!**$er and was yelling and screaming at the cleaning lady saying racial Slurs. When mention to front desk. They called the manager “JB” who did nothing about it. So this ****** person is still in the building living a few doors from my mom. 3- there was a mouse in my moms room and front desk was called. Manger was there and refused to give my mom traps for her room or offer a solution for her. Instead he gave her attitude she had to wait tell the following day to receive them. 4- one of the ladies that work at night has been harassing my brother and being rude to my family. She has some hate towards everyone and is not professional. She told my sister she could not get keys fixed to get back in her room after dark (when she is working) even though they stop working on her. How can you regulate when someone needs their keys fixed to get back in their room? She also calls my mom room late at night to complain about things she has no attorney over. 5- one of the other staff who has been hired by the manager has been extremely rude to all of us. He rolls his eyes, talking inappropriate, smacks his lips, and gives major attitudes and he is not only doing this to us adults he has done it to the kids as well. That is vary inappropriate. 6- my mom has been leaving complaints but it appears to go to property manager “JB” who closes complaints and not deals with them. So his upper management dose not sees these complaints and our complaints are not being resolved. Within all this mess, him along with staff have decided to show they don’t like my family and is rude as f*%!k The list goes on…. My family is here due to an domestic issue and a company has been reaching out to this hotel but the manger is none responsive to the company. This is crazy experience and there are other issues that I did no

Seems that they have rebranded recently so I'm sure things will improve when the dust settles. The bes was comfortable and room was decent but the amount of long hairs found in the sink and around the bathroom makes me believe the bathroom was not cleaned.

After a few mediocre hotels, I was happy to stay at a hotel where they cleaned every day and extended courtesy.

Price wise one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. My wife and I could not believe the great service, clean and comfortable room, and incredible buffet breakfast. The general manager was always on hand and made it a point to greet every sinle guest at the breakfast table. My wife and I spent over 20 years in the service hotel industry and were quite amazed at the level of service of this particular property. Well done!

The location is convenient to the airport. The front desk was extremely accommodating to my request of an early check in. Excellent breakfast. Housekeeping is tip top with an overall spotless room. The bed was firm and comfortable. Only negative: no golf channel!

Traveling w my partner & dog. We used to like aloft bc they didn’t charge for pets. Welp, we spoke too soon bc now they do. Here’s the rub…my partner is a PLATINUM Marriott Bonvoy member. If you use bonvoy, you appreciate how hard that is to maintain. EVERY time we book, we ask for an extra blanket & 2 pillows. One of us is always cold & we both want pillows to prop up & watch tv since this price/grade of hotel doesn’t have extra seating. No matter how early or late we book, we never get the pillows or blanket. It’s pretty annoying. I understand that this is a less expensive hotel but I think we asked about FIVE times since. It’s ridiculous. Why does Marriott even ask if they’re not going to oblige? Other than that, the rooms are generally clean albeit on the small side. Today there was no disposable plastic cups-only a reusable one. With COVID still in the works, it’s not really acceptable. What’s happening at Aloft? We used to love!

Don’t be fooled by the exterior and the closeness to the main road 28. Hotel has been maintained and has done a nice job staying relevant. The room was comfortable and quiet. It was clear that housekeeping did a good job and unlike many other locations post COVID they refreshed the room. The bartender in O’Malleys was friendly and attentive. The bar was well kept and had screens to watch the football games. The only downside was the quality of the food. We ordered nachos and the pretzel. The nachos were just tortilla chips with what appeared to be cheese sauce and canned chili with some fresh chopped onions. The pretzel was fine but the sauce was liquid and had no adhesion to the pretzel. Sub standard on both while pricing is comparable to other better quality offerings elsewhere. A little tweaking would go a long way here.

Nice location, easy to go Airport, shopping centre.
