I booked a seven night stay at The Eden Hotel, Rovinj. My Spouse and I really liked this hotel. Our room was quiet, spacious and very clean with comfy beds. In fact the whole hotel is very clean with well looked after grounds too. All the staff are friendly, professional and a credit to The Maistra Hotel Group. Whilst here I had a lovely back and shoulder massage whilst my other half had a foot massage. Both treatments were a tonic but on the pricey side. Also went for a dip in the small indoor swimming pool. Towels provided. We opted for half board. Yes, it is canteen style, but the food was an awful lot better than previous hotels we stayed at in Altea and Sorrento. My only criticism was that the desserts were very lacklustre with the same choice every night. However, for €26 each for three courses you can’t complain! I cannot comment on the entertainment as neither of us are bothered with that. However, I would like to suggest the hotel hosts a traditional Croatian evening once a week with traditional Croatian food and music. We would love that and I am sure others would too. A short stroll takes you to the sea with pebbled foreshore and beach cafe. Nearby are nice nature walks in a conservation area. Both parts are shared with sister hotels Lone and Monte Mulini. The walk into Rovinj itself is about half an hour, so this hotel has the best of both worlds. My Spouse in particular really loved Roving and Hotel Eden, so we hope to visit again one day.

I would give this a ”very good” for the property as it was nice and nicer than I expected. The room was equipped with a kitchenette and a really nice big balcony. I was there out of season so couldn't fully appreciate the balcony, but it was a nice outdoor space. What wasn't so good was the check-in process. I booked through **********, and on none of the communications was the name of the rental people (I forget their name now but it began with an A). I duly communicated or tried to communicate through ********** as requested. I explained that I was driving from Zagreb and would let them know when I landed so they knew when to expect me. At that point they made me aware that I would need to go to the office of the rental agency and then be taken to the property. It was dark by the time I arrived and the gateway was right off a main road onto a one way street, having been in the country 4 hours on my own in a hire car, this was not helpful. They didn't respond to the messages through ********** but had at no point given me their direct details which would have helped greatly. Eventually I had to phone a Croation phone number from my English phone (don't know what that's cost me) to be quite rudely asked ”where you are you then ? Did you not follow the instructions”. Which, yes I had, I just didn't know if I was in the right place or not. The chap was out delivering another couple to thir property and he told me to wait and he would come back for me. Which he duly did. I left the car at their office that first night as the parking was unclear. However the next day I was able to park near the property, so that was good. They would have come and got me again on checkout day if my car was at theirs. This did negatively impact my initial first impressions - when I said that if I had been given a bit more info it would have been fine and the chap said I should have googled it ?? But googled what ? The process works, but it would be so much better if everyone knew what was happening. I was then given their watsapp number, which is their phone number, but again, you only know that if you know ! THat made it much easier and I was able to message as I checked out. So, the property was nice, its a great location. I don't want to sound negative, but things need to be clearer - especially when using third party platforms.

My daughter and I have just spent 2 weeks here and can honestly say it is one of the best holidays we have ever had. The hotel is modern, very clean and has a welcoming feel about it. The rooms are a little small and only 2 people can sit on the balcony (very small) the bathrooms are modern with shampoo, shower gel and hairdryer available. Bathrobes and slippers provided. Mini bar and safe in the room. The food is amazing, loads of choice and good quality. It is the usual buffet/self serve and the dining room can get busy, but there are plenty of places to sit and the team ensure the tables are cleaned regularly. Drinks are expensive, approx €5.50 for a glass of wine amd €9 for a cocktail, that's the same everywhere I suppose these days. Supermarket and tourist information on site too with everything you need. On site gift shop, not much in there and never saw anyone in there either. ATM at the hotel, hairdressers and games room. The indoor pool is huge, with lovely sunbeds outside to relax on, jacuzzi, all very clean and relaxing. The beach is beautiful, pebbly so you will need some swim shoes. Sunbeds on the beach are payable €17 for 2 and an umbrella for the day. Beach towels are included and you can get clean ones each day. The watersports are reasonably priced, $12 for an hour paddleboarding, other things too like pedalos, kayak etc. The beach has a really relaxed feel about it, loads of grassy areas to sunbathe on too, some under the trees if you want shade. Novigrad town is a 10 minute walk away, really pretty with lots of shops, bars, restaurants. Nothing noisy, family orientated and chilled. There is a little road train that goes each way if you don't want to walk. The area feels safe, it is clean, very green, beautiful clear sea and bike hire available to get around to explore the sites. The cleaning team are lovely and work hard, the place was spotless! I would like to say a special thank you to Marko at the restaurant near the beach, he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and we felt really well looked after. He should definitely be recognised by the management! I could go on and on, definitely worth a visit and hopefully we will be back very soon! Thanks Aminess Maestral team!

The Bo Palazzo is a very special hotel, with a rich history and southwest facing location at the end of the marina jutting out into the harbor. It is lovely, impeccably clean, very stylish in a classic way, and very customer service oriented. It is within very easy walking distance of everywhere in the small old town and, although it is on the far west end of the peninsula that is old town Porec, it is not far (20-30 minutes) to walk through the Riva and marina area to reach the grocery stores, shopping mall, and shady park with walking paths and beaches (and the occasional WW2 concrete pillbox defense structure) on the far eastern side of town. The sunset views are lovely as are the views of the marina, riva, and sea. Parking is offsite, at the large Valamar lot near the large community sports center about 10 minutes away. It is safe. Call about 10 minutes before you get to the lot and the hotel van will come to pick up and transport to the hotel. It’s about an 8 minute ride to the hotel. The hotel has a pool area but no beach, and there were no suncobrans (sun umbrellas) this year. The hotel breakfast is still a nice buffet but the offering has slimmed down noticeably in the past year. The bread is some of the freshest and most gluteny that we had anywhere in Croatia this year. The fresh cut fruit is particularly good as are the omelettes. The cereal selection is skimpy – mostly all nuts and muselix. Seating is both indoors and outdoors; watch out for scavenging seagulls outside. The Suite in which we stayed was beautiful, with solid burnished wood panels, large picture windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a living room area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The windows open, which is nice. The AC is individually controlled and works well. The window curtains do a good job blocking out light and sunlight. The lighting is very decorative and classy chandeliers, chandelier sconses, and lamps. There is a large empty hallway at entry that is wasted space in which some storage tables / chests of drawers would be very useful. There is a small frig hidden in a desk in the far corner of the dining / office room area; you need to take out the hotel’s products to make room for your own, The large master bathroom has good sink shelf space but we cannot use the shower ….it is a large jacuzzi tub with a shower head that is a hand held only (not mounted high enough to use as a showerhead) and there is no curtain or glass wall to contain the shower water in the tub, vs. on the floor, nor to shield the person taking the shower. The small bathroom off of the main door has a walk in shower which is a self contained unit. It has excellent water pressure and is easy to use, although it is dark. The pedestal sink in the second bathroom has no counter space. There is a built in storage closet with shelves and hanging area (need

In Medulin sind wir nicht das erste Mal, aber Urlaub im Hotel haben wir zum ersten Mal gemacht. Wir fanden den Aufenthalt sehr gut und hätten es so gut nicht erwartet. Anfangs gab es zwar Schwierigkeiten mit unserer Buchung, aber die Mitarbeiter im Hotel haben versucht die Zeit bis zur Klärung so gemütlich und stressfreien zu gestalten wie nur möglich, auch die Mitarbeiter von Trip.vom haben sofort und toll mitgeholfen unser Anliegen zu lösen. Auf Sauberkeit wird im Hotel schon Wert gelegt, auch wenn das Hotel schon in die Jahre gekommen ist, ist es ein super, vielfältiges und Sauberes Hotel. Während des Tages gibt es verschiedene Aktivitäten, ein leckeres Bistro ist auch vor Ort und zum Frühstück gibt es auch eine zahlreiche Auswahl (auch vegane Milch z.B.).

Es war wieder ein schöner Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war sauber, es ist aber schon etwas abgewohnt. Die Liegen am Strand sind alt und teilweise durchgelegen. Könnten repariert oder erneuert werden. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. In allen Bereichen ist das Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nach wie vor gibt es in den Duschen keine Handbrausen.

Even better than it looks! Perfect week with the family, including a baby and 5 year old, with beautiful grounds and pebble beaches/pools. Weather in August was 95% sun and blue skies, lovely. Great food and the service level was amazing. Kids club team were wonderful. And us parents loved the spa and time to walk along the coast while the kids were in the club. We will come back I hope!

A wonderful resort, suitable for couples with children as well as couples without children. The pool on the ground floor is also suitable for children, and the infinity pool on the roof top is an ideal place for couples. The service is excellent, all the employees are very friendly. Sanela from the pool bar, with who we became friends with, is really the best !We love her ,she is so professional and in other hand so friendly and nice . The position of the hotel is excellent, the region is excellent for exploring restaurants, wineries, nature and seaside towns. Wonderful experience, we plan to come for a longer stay next summer🍀

Me and my girl spent 2 nights. Location is fantastic , if you dont want to use car for going around. 5 min walk to center and sigtseeing. Breakfast is top, many different food sefserving,personel is very friendly. We miss a little bit bigger room, not enougt place to place luggage. We miss heating in bathroom, so AC heats from bedroom throug door to bathroom. Out room was in last floor, under roof, I imagine in summer can be very hot there. Terase is small but amasing view to old houses and roofs. I recomment to go to Epulon restautarant,good food and famous cat, friendly cat is good company during etating.

We made the right decision to take our first trip to Croatia, the right decision to visit Istria, the right decision to stay in Rovinj & absolutely hit the bullseye with Residence Vaal. This is an absolute gem of a property & Denis, Aleksandra and their team, particularly Laura & Aleksandar, could not have done more to make our trip a thoroughly enjoyable one, & to ensure that we want to hurry back. Residence Vaal is extremely comfortable, well equipped and almost surgically clean. The setting, slightly away from the centre of town is peaceful, & it's ideally placed for Cuvi beach. The breakfasts are fresh, varied and generous, and offer a great selection with home-baked daily delicacies. The pool area is an oasis of peace, with added hydromassage! All these tangible attributes are practically perfect, but what really made our trip was the extremely friendly, uber helpful and above-and-beyond service. I cannot recommend Residence Vaal highly enough!

As frequent visitors to Rovinj, The Adriatic had always provided a welcome spot for a drink whilst waiting for a ferry or just to watch the world go by. This year we had the opportunity to stay (albeit for one night) and we were delighted with what the hotel had to offer. A spacious and tastefully decorated room with a stunning view of the square and beyond delivered a restful nights sleep in luxurious surroundings. The real bonus is the free access to the incredible pool facilities at the Grand Park (where rooms cost twice and much) and a friendly free buggy for those too weary to make the pleasant 10 minute walk. A delightful breakfast on the terrace, where thankfully the recent construction works had all but finished, provided a relaxing start for our onward travels. If you are looking to be at the heart of the action, cocooned in luxury, then this is the place for you. Special mention too to all the friendly and helpful staff who made our stay even more enjoyable.

I had a great stay at the Melegran in Rovinj. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city and convenient to everything. If you are driving to Rovinj, they have a parking lot outside the city walls, which is very convenient and easily worth the 8 € per day fee. The hotel staff are very good and reached out to me a few times before I arrived and in particular the day before and day I arrived so that we could coordinate my arrival so they could guide me to the parking lot and bring me to the hotel on their golf cart. In addition, I got a free drink at the bar at check in. The room I had was in the building across from where the lobby and bar is and was spacious and quiet. The bathroom and fixtures were all updated and modern. I was there near the end of shoulder season, so the town wasn't as crowded as it is in peak tourist season and the price was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

Clean and central. Reception staff very friendly. No issues with the place but the cleaning staff start cleaning at 7am and made a lot of noise, laughing and shouting outside the rooms as they mopped the corridor. They were bankgina about and made no attempt at all to keep the noise low and were shouting at each other. I'm not a light sleeper but it work me all 3 morning I was there. Two other guests commented about it too while we were there. Shame, as all they needed to do was keep the noise down a bit at 7am and the place would be pretty much perfect.

Nuestras Habitación era triple muy amplia moderna y bonita, camas muy confortables y almohadas, ropa de cama de calidad, con terraza, y todo muy limpio, el desayuno fenomenal había de todo y muy cuidado. Esta ha 5 minutos del centro histórico andado. Pasamos 2 noches. Lo recomiendo.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Amfiteatar and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked the hotel directly through the hotels website as we found we had a better price. A lovely family run hotel that is close to everything you need, you could see the Pula Amphitheater from the hotel entrance. When checking in we were told we were upgraded to a premium room what was amazing and we appreciated a lot. The room was very spacious and had everything we need (except tea/coffee facilities) as part of the premium room there was a massage chair what was different. The room was nice and clean, cleaned daily. Nice sized shower and also fitted with a smart TV that come in handy before bed. Included in our stay was breakfast what was excellent. There was a good selection of hot and cold food to choose from. I want to give a big mention to the staff at Hotel Amfiteatar, every member of staff who we met and dealt with were amazing. Very nice people who go above and beyond to help you, for example giving us a free upgrade and also allowing us to stay in the room an extra hour after check out at no cost. Thank you for all your help, it was very appreciated. Only downside is the fact there is no tea/coffee facility in the room but it’s hardly a problem.

To sum it up- because it's long- totally disappointing and absolutely overpriced to say the least, slow to non existent service! Horrible breakfast that had the 'flair' of a youth hostel- served at the table- which took forever on most days. A bar that mainly closed at 10 p.m. Incredibly bad house keeping( barely made up beds, cups that came with water kettle were never washed- tea and sugar never refilled) and a lot of 'unwilling' staff... In detail: We had booked an apartment in Ribarska Koliba Resort Croatia for 9 days with our son. The apartment was 38 sqm and had a living room, bedroom, bathroom.& terrace.- supposedly for 2-4 people. To start with the living room with sofa bed was about 7 meters long and 3 wide , one sofa bed , one tiny desk and one build in closet that didn't have space for the basic clothes of two people let alone 3 .( total waste of space) The bedroom had the size of a shoebox (~ 9 sqm)with a double bed and two tiny metal stools that functioned as bed tables. Off the bedroom was a small bathroom with shower and 2 sinks. It came with sliding glass ! doors ( our son was totally thrilled to travel through our bedroom every time he had to use our bathroom). Overall the apartment was recently renovated- but absolutely non functional- no room for clothes , no rails to hang wet towels or wet swimsuits. The balcony looked not at all like the pictures and was like a 'hit box'- and not even a clothes rack despite the big size.. The restaurant that advertises as 'high- end” and Michelin guide restaurant, was also totally over priced and some food was simple not edible ( sea food soup, brownish lukewarm and tasteless with a 'fancy edible cup' with icy cold mixed seafood that tasted like the remnants of a left over sea food salad... I could write more- but close it here... Absolutely no value for money- for ( a frequent customer) reduced price of 400 Euros a night, totally unacceptable!

I spent 2 nights at the Villa and was very impressed. It was difficult to get to by car. The navigator did not help. Park on a side street and walk to hotel, they will help direct you to the parking area. The rooms are comfortable but be ready to walk some stairs. A few people complain about the rooms/showers being small. I had an economy room with french bed, park side for single use. I was actually quite pleased with it and thought there was plenty of room. No balcony but I knew that when booking. I thought the food in the evening buffet was exceptional with lots of choice and the added bonus of soft drinks, wine and beer. The breakfast offering was fine but could have been improved by having some of the fresh fruit that was available in the evening buffet. The decor in the hotel is perfectly acceptable and the swimming pool was fine. Not a lot of sunbeds for the size of the hotel but I never struggled to get one mid afternoon. Loved the location, it is about an hours walk around the bay and through pine trees to get to Porec with fantastic views all the way round. If you don’t want to walk both ways (or either way) there is a small land train that costs €4 each way. I paid around €60 per night half board in the second week in June which I thought was very good value for a single traveller. Don’t bother with packages, get yourself a cheap Ryanair flight into Pula, hire a car and book a hotel directly on the Plava Laguna website. I stayed a few nights in Umag and then drove down the coast to Zelena Laguna to spend the last few nights at the Plavi.
