What an amazing hotel. From check in the staff can’t do enough to help, they’re all so friendly and seem to genuinely care if you have a nice time. The room was amazing, it was clean, well equipped with everything you might need and the views were incredible! It’s very centrally located within Ella and a short walk down to shops and restaurants, the walk back up is quite steep but you can always get a tuk tuk up if it’s too steep for you! They’re currently in the process of putting in a roof pool and I think that will make it even better! We would love to come back one day.

I have to admit, we absolutely loved our stay here. The people were so accommodating and friendly. The location is on a steep hill, most cars won't make it up but walking down and up takes about 5 minutes or a tub tuk can get you there. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It's so close to the main road and close to main attractions (about 20min walk) the room was comfortable, warm, clean. The breakfast was some fruit, with eggs made according to your choice, some toast and they even let us try the coconut pancakes which were so yummy. Everything was amazing. We were so happy there and will definitely stay there again.

The most amazing views I have ever seen in a hotel, could sit and look at it all day. Beautiful room, and bathroom, lovely restaurant with the same views, breakfast was amazing. Only problem I had was that there is no aircon in the room, I know its a bit cooler up in the hills, but I still needed it.

Based around the types of accomadation in Ella this small 4 roomed boutique hotel offered a fabulous view and excellent attentive service . A special call out to the manager for all his support and help with tips and trips. On this he recommended a tuk tuk driver to help organise your sightseeing who we wholly recommend who is professional and reasonably priced. Given the terrain it is too far to walk to the centre, easily accessible via tuk tuk. Food is amazing and would recommend the chicken stew.

We went to Kataragama for the Pooja and religious observances while back. This hotel is located close to the temple, devalaya and other religious areas but not within the city limits, therefore, the guests have the freedom for a calm environment while being relatively closer to the pooja areas. The hotel staff was very knowledgeable on the process in the temple and the devalaya. On our request they introduced us to a guide to assist us in those processes, which was very helpful. Although the hotel is located in a very good location and has a good knowledge of the religious matters (which is one of the main reasons to visit Kataragama), there is a big room for improvement in some areas. The main issue was the poor service. If there were only one or two people in the hotel with poor service, it is a personal issue (issue with that particular employee), however, if majority of the staff is providing an extremely poor service, it is an issue with the management. The staff was friendly. However, we noticed that they lack the training required for hotel staff. One example is that it took them over one our since our arrival around 3.00 pm to prepare our room. Sadly this period was not a busy period either. From what we noticed one family checked out during our stay in the lobby and another was waiting to be checked in similar to us. The room's cleanliness has to improve significantly. Some of the room furniture were broken (e.g. bed, tv, one chair). Hotel did not provide WIFI (not even for a fee). Some of the power sockets in the room were not working. The toilet amenities looked to be collected from different places and brands, and we felt that one time use bottles were refilled. The buffets did not have much variety however some of the items in the buffets were good in flavor. We booked directly and I strongly recommend against it. The direct booking was over two times more expensive than the prices given here. Anyway if you are visiting Kataragama sorely for religious matters, this hotel seems like a good place.

We had 2 deluxe double rooms booked. So far so good. On arrival it looked like they didnt know we where coming. I need to mention, we were the only 3 guest in the whole resort. Check in was a bit bumpy, but we managed. After arrival we were asked for sinner, we only had to choices. Rice and curry, or chicken rice.....there are kayaks and a pedal boats available, but they will charge u 3500rs per person for half broken down kayaks even we it never mentioend anything sbout payment. So we didn't go. We took the pedal boat and were still charged. Nice birds around tho. We saw tucans and pelicans but still with no one around they still charged us upon check out. Food was ok, better go for rice and curry. 2500rs per person😜 Breakfast is chicken on toast eith pineapple, no sauce, no water, just 3, pieces of fruit. Chsrged 1500rs We had own own ssfari booked so can't say much about their service. Upon check out they try to charge 15usd for the single occupancy even tho i booked 2 double rooms. So overall i wouldnt recommend the place, mot sure why all reviews are rhst positve. Pool was murky, **** laying around everywhere and overall i found the olace 20usd cheaper as we paid, just one day before arrival.

When talking about experience that I had got from the ekho ella . It was excellent . Hospitality was superb . Every staff member have a lovely smile in their face 🥰 From the begining they take care us very well. I can highly recommended the ekho ella for my dudes 🫶 .On the other hand the receptionists are very kind and guide us well ( Nilakshi, Thakshila and shelani ) when concerned about resturant, the staff members treat us superb manner ( nethmi, sanjeewa) special thanks for the kitchen staff, their foods are really yammy. 🤩 Rooms are really clean and eye catching. I think this was a wonderful stay. Thankyou very much for making our stay lovely .

What a find, such a beautiful spot high up on the mountain side, spectacular views. The room and facilities were so clean, loved the four poster bed and so comfortable too. We had a double balcony with fantastic views of the surrounding area. The dining area is spacious with all round views very clean. The meals were well cooked and delicious. Loved the breakfast. The staff were great nothing too much trouble for them. I do hope I get to go back to stay at Dream Catcher.

I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. Пока что вы живете на стройке, к сожалению. Из-за стройки в ванной очень много налета и разводов. Но! Там такоооооой вид! И нам очень мило украсили номер на наш медовый месяц. Очень хороший завтрак! В целом рекомендую!)
