L'hôtel est bien situé, non loin du beau quartier historique Bryggen et de la gare maritime. La réception est accueillante et attentionnée. Ils ont bien aménagé la chambre, c'est joli. La chambre est propre, bien nettoyée. Un bon petit-déjeuner est servi tous les matins.

Things are different! We found a two bed room is really more like a room with a king bed. Well, OK, but not what we expected. The room was quite small, but worked pretty well. There is a metal frame that serves as a place to hang clothing, several shelves so you can put clothing out, but no drawer storage. There was a TV, you could make coffee/tea in the room (if you wanted). Biggest surprise: the bathroom was fully suitable for an RV. I could touch wall to wall with my outstretched arms. The shower was the size of half a phone booth. The sink was about 10X14 inches. Tiny, but it worked. The room was overlooking the Bergen Visitor Info Center and Fish Market. One night there were a lot of revelers. Otherwise it was quiet. Breakfast was a buffet, with some hot items, and the usual cold cuts, cheese, breads. Some fruit. The coffee machines are fine when they work, but it seems that guests are pretty hard on them and they were not always available. We were joining a cruise, but at the last minute learned we had to delay our arrival several hours due to harbor congestion. We spent the extra time, with our luggage and kindles in the hotel's small lobby. The staff made us welcome, and assisted us with a taxi when we were finally able to depart.

Opus 16 was absolutely wonderful! the breakfast was great, room was clean, and most outstandingly was the service - which was absolutely superb! a wonderful hotel and will definitely stay here again whenever i'm in Bergen

I'm conflicted about this hotel. My partner booked it so I'm not sure how much of the following information was advertised. If so I'm not sure I would have selected it, if it was down to me. The room it's self was large and modern with very funky curtains and wallpaper. The bed was comfy and the bedroom itself was clean. The room contained a desk, TV seat, shelves which contained decorations and the bed. There was 1 hook for a jacket but apart from that there was 0 storage space. It had large windows which let in plenty of light and opened to ventilate the room. The curtains were black out curtains which were helpful in the norweigan summer sun. The curtains were several curtain hooks missing and if you pulled the curtains slightly too far it would come off the rail- ab inconvenience especially when they are so long and high. Thankfully we are handy and fixed them ourselves . The room also contained a coffee machine and kettle with a 2 coffee pods, a few sachets of sugar and 2 bags. No milk was provided and when I messaged to asked for some I was told the hotel don't offer this service and should purchase some from the shop downstairs. I would have been happy to do this if there was a fridge in the room, but there was not. I'm The bathroom was large, modern and clean enough but maybe could have done with a deep clean into the grout. The shower was powerful and was a good temperature but over flowed and flooded the whole bathroom if you were having more than a quick wash- I.e if your washing your hair do not leave your clothes on the floor. This could well be an isolated incident to room 508. The location of the hotel was good it was quiet central close to the shopping district of Bergen, around a 10 minute walk to Bryggen and a 15 minute walk to the train and bus station. The hotel was located in a multipurpose building. The ground floor was part of a shopping centre, with other floors containing offices. There was no reception and everything was done independently using your phone as a method of entry onto each hotel floor. So if you do choose to stay here make sure your phone is charged. Check in instructions were sent a few hours before and you needed to download an app to gain entry. There was a number to call if you needed assistance or out of hours it was suggested to scan the QR code to send the reception a message- some people might like this approach with covid but personally I find it a but impersonal. Overall the location and comfort of the hotel was good and had good disabled access with automated main doors, wide access doors into all corridors, bathrooms and arm rests on the toilet. I just feel the experience was impersonal and was definitely a budget hotel.

I chose Scandic because I have had good experiences in the past. However, this stay has been quite horrible. After a long journey to the North Cape and back again, it was important for me to get a good night's sleep before the journey home to Denmark. Already when I/we checked in, many young people arrived with full plastic bags with clinking bottles and large speakers in tow. I wondered, but thought maybe they should go ahead and have a party. I was completely wrong there. The party was held at the Scandic hotel from early evening to early morning. There was running in the corridors, shouting and screaming, banging on pipes, doors slamming continuously, and there was partying and noise that only really drunk people can make. I and others contacted reception who unfortunately could not deal with them. I also think that one or two receptionists cannot handle 20 maybe 25 very drunk young people. In the morning told the young female receptionist that when they complained about a room, the party just moved to a new room. She was very kind and apologized many times. Friendly and sweet service. Immediately, I think that the police should have been called if the party didn't stop. Me and my 2 fellow travelers were refunded DKK 400 for our rooms... But honestly, I think it would have been appropriate to give us the full amount back. Never before have I had such an experience in a hotel.

My 2nd stays when visit Bergen on October 2022 and April 2023 both visit are for 3 nights each stays. I love Thon hotel because the breakfast was amazing, so many varieties of food and delicious. The room is very nice and clean and comfortable beds. Shower room is nice and the adjustment of the water is perfect. I love the chocolate they serve in ours first check in. Delicious. Parking is not free but easy access. The hotel is located in the heart of Bergen old Town, only walk about 2 minutes from the lobby, beautiful Maria Church also 2 minutes from the lobby, definitely will come back...strongly recommend 😍 you can watch my channel about all hotels I recommend on WTLJ YouTube, thanks 😊

Fantastic hotel, superbly clean, friendly staff, great room and an amazing breakfast - all for a very reasonable price - we will most certainly return to this hotel on future Bergen trips.

Comfort Hotel is a gem - from the superb friendly reception to the delicious Scandinavian breakfast to the location opposite Bryggen. For Hurtigruten or Havila voyage travellers, its a 10 min walk over residential houses behind the hotel … but its mostly uphill stone paths so if your luggage doesnt permit, its a Nok 100 taxi away. We were checking out on Sunday for the cruise, they allowed us a lazy sunday late checkout and we left at 4 pm. The front desk staff were excellent friendly and professional. Rooms are small and basic but well appointed. I cant find anything bad to say.

Hotel is located in an excellent location, within a few minutes walking distance to the Byggen, the tourist info center. The Floibanen station with the tram train up to the Floyen view point is just 100 meters behind the hotel. The airport bus also stop near to the hotel. It is a bit far from the train station. There are many restaurants around the area and near to the Square. Room is quite large. Was allocated a roon with great view of the hills behind. Service was also very prompt and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
