They charge for EVERYTHING. They even put a tip on my card for themselves without asking me. When asked, the restaurant lady apologized and asked for refund the money back to me. The ladies at the front desk are very aggressive especially the one without hair line. She was very very aggressive. She has no business working the front desk. I paid for dinner show with buffet but they sat me behind the pillars and I couldn’t even see the show. When I complained, they told me that the people upfront had made their reservation way in advance than me. Towards the end of the show, the moved me to another table by which it was already too late as the show was almost ending. The young man at the front desk was very welcoming. I truly disliked the service at this resort. The Paris lady at the spa was extremely nice and pleasant. The ladies at the boutique were a bit kind. Overall, it would have been a nice stay if they had taken the time to make my stay a bit nice. Do not go here if you are a black American. The women are aggressive towards us for no reason. That’s my observation.

Overall this was a very good hotel. We got a great rate through Trip.com for an ocean view room and the room faced both the pool and ocean. We went right after Christmas and although busy for the holiday etc. the resort itself did not feel as though it was at full capacity. We only stayed one night as we were leaving for Moorea the next morning (which in my opinion is a much nicer island) and only a quick 30 min fast ferry ride. The resort is very conveniently located across the street next to a large grocery store and small food court with great food and accessible through a 3-min walkway bridge from hotel (I only found out about this through TripAdvisor lol). Great way to save some money on meals and drinks etc. The hotel is a quick 10 min cab ride to the ferry in one direction and 15 min to the airport in the other direction. There really wasn’t anything wrong with the hotel other than that it was just basic. Updated rooms but nothing fancy and the only downside is that there isn’t anything to do on property etc. unlike some other resorts where you can actually paddle board, kayak, or snorkel on-site. Either way, the resort did its job, customer service was excellent, pool was a great size (substantial to swim in) and super clean, property was beautiful and clean in the lobby areas and we’d stay again in transit to the other islands.

It's a piece of paradise, unbelievable service, every person who works there is helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure you feel at home .. definitely recommend staying there. You can snorkel right there - the bungalos are on the edge of a small coral riff

The hotel has nice infinity pools, but no beach or access to a public beach. You have to take taxi to get to one. Taxis are expensive on Tahiti. The resort does have access to lagoon water in just one spot, there is a ladder, and the water is very clean for those wanting to take dip. The rooms are old, esp. the vanities and the decor in the bathrooms. The bed linens and towels are nice. Also the grounds and the views are very nice. I didn't try the breakfast, but the breakfast area seemed nice. Overall, I don't regret staying here, but would consider this option overpriced due to the age of the rooms.

Definitely opt for the overwater bungalows. The beach bungalows with private pools were a little worn down. The main pool was closed due to renovations and it was not supposed to be. The renovations were supposed to have been completed before our stay. That was a bummer and all they did was give us a $50 credit. The lagoon and house reef is spectacular and so full of fish. All not motorized activities including kayaking and SUP are included. Very good buffet breakfast. The service was 3 star definitely not 5 star service. An absolutely fantastic location and go to happy hour for sunset.

The stay was very comfortable, the staff was very welcoming, and not far from the city, the breakfast was rich. It is also convenient to the surrounding attractions and the hotel can also park for free. It's relatively clean.

Pros: The location is only a short walk to the ferry, cruise terminal, markets, restaurants and shops. If you are only sleeping there and can sleep through pumping music until the early hours it is convenient. If you want to enjoy any amenities like a restaurant for lunch stay elsewhere Con’s: There is no place to hang whilst you are waiting to check in. There is a coffee shop on ground floor. But I don’t travel to Tahiti to expect that is the only space available. We had planned to go to the restaurant for lunch but it was closed for a private function The lobby is a small area crowded with dozens 100? Bags stacked up waiting to check in or depart. We were told firmly check in is 3pm so your room can’t be ready until then. Really? at the stroke of 3 they will wave a manic wand and every room will suddenly be cleaned! There is no pool. The rooms look out to the Road and commercial terminal blocks most of the view we thought we’d paid for. The lifts are crowded with locals? Visiting the roof deck which was so loud into the morning we couldn’t sleep.

Very modern, clean and chic hotel. We loved it and have travelled extensively. Snorkel right from the beach. Kayaks free to guests. Gorgeous spot to see the sun set with happy hour! Thank you Cooks Bay! 😀☀️🐠🐢
